Post by kikimonky »

Hi All,

This is my first time doing IVF :D . We have completed everything and now we are at the waiting game of 2 weeks for our first blood test. Every since the transfer I am been very bloating and crampy. Not sure what or how to feel. Anyone out there have any suggestions or want to chat.

Hi Kristen -

YAY!! for you all that your feeling is very normal. I had the same exact symptoms there was a point where I had even thought I was going to start my period. I am hyperstimulating so that did not help much. They retrieved 21 follies and I still stimmed more so that made me very bloated, crampy, back aches, etc. and the doc said it was all normal then we got the great news that I was PREGO!!! We were soo happy and it was our first try of IVF. Thank GOD! I am 8+ weeks and still bloated and feeling sick my ovaries are still big and swollen they are bigger than my baby but it will all come back to normal. Well I wish you luck and pray for you. Let us know your results and if you need to talk some more and have more questions write back I will be more than glad to help.

Very normal!

I have a 16 month old son through IVF and the first, oh I'd say trimester, I felt bloated and crampy. In fact, I had that "oh my gosh I need to get to the bathroom FAST I'm about to start my period" feeling most of the time. That does go away, but is unnerving to say the least. I don't know if that is normal for pregnancy, or if it is just due to the hormones and manipulation of our ovaries from IVF.

Good luck! Being a mommy is one of the biggest blessings in my life!

:D Thanks for all the aweosme feedback. At least I don't feel so stupid now. It's hard going through something like this not knowing anyone around me that has gone through this before. My first week of waiting is over. I went to the doctors on Friday to get some bloodwork and US to make sure I didn't need drained from the hyperstimulating. They did an HCG blood test and that came back negative, but the doctor said not to worry because it was only 6 days after transfer. How did you guys feel during that 2 week waiting period. I don't really feel to much different than before. Just my boobs are really sore and tender. I wish that something would jump out at me so I would know I was prego or not. Oh well. That would be to easy. Let me know how you felt during those last 2 weeks. Thanks. Have a great day and still praying for all of you. God Bless!
