a little spotting and worried, 1st ivf cycle

Hi, was wondering if some can share their experience. This is my 1st ivf cycle, did embryo trans. on 7/19. Today is the 27th and I just noticed a little spotting when I went to the ladies room. Not sure about if you can get your period while taking progesterone suppositories. I have experienced some mild cramping and constipation. Please respond someone. Thanks.

I had ivf 4 years ago and had 2 embies transferred. I started spotting about 8 days post implant which my re thought was implant bleed. But I continued to spot for the entire first trimester! Still not sure what the cause was, but I have a healthy 3 year old daughter from that pregnancy. Good Luck!

I too spotted red blood when I went to the bathroom. I was so worried and cried all the way to my beta test and freaked when I got the positive results. Then, for my second beta I cried all the way there again because I was still spotting and my numbers doubled. I then went for my third beta still spotting and they went up more than 100%. So, I completely understand how you feel. But my DR said that some women are just bleeders. She said go to the bathroom with the lights off and don't look. Hope this helps!

I would definately take the prog. supp. until they tell you not too. My re said that one can be preg even if you are spotting. I think the color is imporant/ I was bleeding before my 2ww was over. I knew it was my period becasuse by the end of the day or the 2nd day, it was "regular" to heavy bleeding and it was bright red. Each time I knew I was pregnant, but I still took the supp. until they "confirmed" it w/ the preg. test. I wouldn't necessarily worry about the bleeding--I had a friend who was pregnant (not through IVF) and she bleed more or less during her pregnancy. Sometimes, it happens.

spotting is common unless you are doing some physical activity you should not be doing. You should not be getting your period

I am 6 weeks and 6 days today and I started spotting brown the day before my first beta (at 3 weeks 5 days). I spotted for the next 17 days- every day when I would wipe- there it was. It was almost always brown, sometimes a wine color. I had my first u/s last Wed. and everything looked great! My RE said there looked to be a little pool of blood in my uterus and that was most likely causing the spotting. Ironically, it stopped that day and hasn't returned. I think that as long as it is light and you don't have a lot of cramping with it, you're okay. I even had a couple of minor cramps, but nothing too big. Hope that helps.

THIS IS TO MY 1ST IVF AND HAD MY TRANFER ON 7-20 BUT THEY COULD ONLY FREEZE 2 EMBIES. AND i HAVE STARTED AND OFF AND ON AGAIN PERIOD TODAY AND I AM VERY WORRIED. I GUESS THIS IS KINDA ROUND TWO FOR ME MY 1ST ONE WAS CANELLED 2 DAYS BEFORE THE EXTRACTION DUE TO HORMONE LEVELS BEING TOO HIGH. I HAD PCOS WITH BLOCKED TUBES AND HAD TO HAVE THEM REMOVED. THIS IS TRULY OUR ONLY CHANCE. MY DOCTOR NEVER TOLD US ABOUT F.B NOT UNFREEZING WELL NOW I'M REALLY WORRIED. BEST OF LUCK TO YOU. I GO TOMORROW FOR BLOOD TEST WISH ME LUCK.
