Hi ladies I am home... ER went GREAT out of 13 follies she got 12 EGGS ... :D :) :D :) :D :) :D .....I am so happy wih that I did not think we would get that many eggs.. All in all i feel fine some spotting and a little cramping funny taste in my mouth from the anesthia and tired.... I came home and fell aslep after i ate... Hope all is well with everyone i just wanted to check in I am going back to slepp land ......

Hi everyone
just another question - does anyone know if i should be taking folic acid? - not been told to at clinic but a couple of books i have looked at say you should and ACU nurse not in till monday!

LisaPa: That is great news.Well Done!!!! Im very happy for you :D
Now Just relax and enjoy this weekend.

Wishfull: I think you should take folic acid.My GP doctor told me to start to take when i get preg.but the clinic told me to start taking it so im on daily folic acid tablets.

I post somewhere a thread about folic acid.Bacicly food that are rich in folic acid.I think the thread is called "Folic acid for MEN"...Have a look....if youfind it.

Lisapa, Congrats!!!!! :D :D 12 eggs are great! Just sit back and relax today, let your dh wait on you, you deserve it :!: Did they give you any idea of when your ET might be? My clinic called yesterday and my 3 remaining embies did not make it to freeze. :( :( I was disappointed and did not have a real good day yesterday. I guess that's just normal for this rollercoaster ride we are all on. It made me start 2nd guess my decision about the # i put back. Maybe should have done 3 instead of 2, or maybe that means the 2 i put back won't stick. I am starting to think too much and that will drive you insane!!!! Oh well, have gotten this far and feel like this has been my best chance to get pg. yet. Sorry for rambling, just needed to vent for a minute. Good luck !!!


Tracey, haven't heard from you in awhile, how are you? Good luck today with your test!


wishfull- yes, you should be taking either folic acid or you could already start taking prenatals. I work in an ob/gyn office and we tell all of our patients who want to ttc to start before they are pg. Statistics show the earlier you take folic acid, the greater the chance to help reduce incidence of neural tube defects. Hope this helped :D

Hi ladies

Hope all is well with everyone... I GOT GREAT NEWS THIS MORNING MY RE CALLED AT 7:30AM TO INFORM US THAT out of 12 mature eggs they ICSI all of them and 8 MADE it...............WE HAVE 8 EMBIES I AM SO HAPPY :D :D :D :D :D ....I feel like we are 1/2 way there thankgod the eggs fertilizong was a big worry of DH due to out issue (male Factor) so we are breathing a little easier.....now we are just praying they grow big and strong looking to trans on Monday......RE will call and let us know how they are doing poss trans mon. or if growing great maybe a 5 day trans.....either way i cant wait....

wishfull27--Are you taking pre nats if so most of them are loaded with folic acid. Also I was told that tooo much is not good either.. I took pre nats everyday and my RE advised me to 5 servings of fruit and veggies daily...Good luck let me know if you find out diffrent...

Traci----hang in there...I know i am ALready in panic mode..lastnight i wanted to go to Re to look at my eggs. I think when you are in the medical field (I am as well). We tend to anylize things more.....Sorry your 3 embies did not make it to freeze But dont worry this round is going to work so you wont need them anytime soon POSITIVE THINKING SPRINKLES OF BABY DUST YOUR WAY...........

LisaPa wonderful news darling!!!!!! I am happy for you... :D

I am 6 days away from my pregnancy test and already walking up and down from anxiety...My symptoms are: Boobs are little bit swollen and sore, tummy is bigger too, I had spotting 2 days ago but it stopped now, sometimes when I turn in bed I have pain in my ovaries....Any words of wisdom?

Spotting????Lets pray it is implantation bleeding..........I will be praying for you... As for me i am sitting home in bed worried about my embies sitting in the dish I want to go visit them....Is that crazy or what. Are they even considered embies at this stage in the game? Anyway I too will be going nuts on the 2ww..Have you taken ept yet????Sore boobs can be a sign of both the EVIL AF :evil: AND BFP :D :D Thats what im hoping for you.....well good luck sending baby dust your way

Hi Girls
Sorry about the delay but I am afraid it was a BFN for me yesterday. My clinic only does a HPT so even though it has said neg - still no AF. So although I realise there is no HCG, I still have a little bit of hope (crazy - I know). I will speak to them tomorrow. Any idea how long it takes for AF to arrive? i stopped the progesterone when i got the BFN.

My Celtic Handfasting Ceremony and party was last night. It was great fun and I got to enjoy lots of champagne. i havent had the time or inclination to think about the result as I know I will just be heartbroken. DH and I will take a few days then discuss the next steps for us.

So, of course, this means you ladies will all just have to grow big healthy eggs which will be big healthy embryos and eventually big healthy babies!
That will definitely help cheer me up!

Hello all,
Just got back from our weekend trip to Indy. It was nice and relaxing to visit with family and go to my niece's bridal shower. At least it wasn't a baby shower!!! :lol: :lol: I found out at the shower my cousin is going through the same IVF cycle so that is kind of neat... I told her to keep in touch. She starts her shots on 8/7 and I told her about this forum but she said she doesn't have a computer.

My first Lupron shot went fine last night. I do my next one here in a couple hours. I was surprised how easy it was last night but I did spot down there just a little and had some mild cramps. Is this normal? I would normally be starting my period about this time so wondered if that was part of it?

TWC and cwrj00 - I'm really sorry to hear that but as they say, the more times you try, the greater the chance it will finally work for both of you. I have a great feeling about next time!! It will happen for you don't worry. Stay positive and excited about the future!!

LisaPa - Congrats on your eggs! I hope they fertilize and become perfect little embies. GROW EMBIES GROW. I'm rooting for you!!!!

wishfull27 - I have been on prenatal vitamins with folic acid for the past six months. I would agree with everyone to go ahead and take folic acid. It can't hurt anything, only help. BEST OF LUCK!!!

Girls, i think i'm going insane!! I test aug 3 and every day feels like an eternity!!! My dh has dared me to do any hpt's. I'm going to try to stay away from them. Not really having alot of symptoms. Cramped bad saturday, mostly on left ovary. Having some sore boobs, due to the progesterone i'm sure. Other than that, nothing!!! Oh well, the countdown is on!
