Hey Laurie- Good Luck Tomorrow!! I'm sure you'll be able to see the little ones' heartbeats!! I think the fact that you felt nauseous is a good indication that things are progressing nicely. I'm jealous that you get another scan so soon. Mine is next Monday and the week is dragging! I haven't spotted since last Wednesday, so I'm happy about that. But, I don't feel as exhausted as I did last week and I don't feel like I need to pee as frequently, so of course I am worried that the pregnancy is ending- will we ever feel secure???? I'm just trying to stay busy until next Monday. Let us know howb tomorrow goes!

I had my ultrasound today. My baby measured 8.7 mm. I got to see and hear the heartbeat. It was music to my ears. My heart was beating so loud and hard that they had to make me hold my breath so they could measure the baby's heartrate. It was 134.
They did find three cysts on my ovaries, and that my left ovary was pretty big. They said that it should be ok and they should go away in 4-6 weeks.
I go back in two weeks for another u/s and in three weeks I get to go to my OB.
I feel so much more relieved now...until tomorrow I'm sure.

Laurie,

Good luck on your scan. I am sure you will get to see the heartbeat.

My dog totally just sits in front of me and stares. When I sleep he is even worse. He puts his paws up on the bed just so he can see me. He went crazy one day during a nap because he couldn't see me. Forget about going to the bathroom, he is waiting right at the door when I come out. He totally knows.

wow i miss a couple days and have to read thru three pages! LOL how wonderful!
laurie... i'm cracking up because i know exactly what you mean. although i AM sorry you are starting to get sick.. i hope it doesn't or didn't last long.
You will be happy to know that i DID NOt throw up today as i had to clean up after my poor dauschaund who had a seizure and couldnt control his bm. YUCK! poor little guy. i forgot to give him his meds for a few days. so its really my fault.

kerri, don't worry about the cysts and enlarged ovary to much. Mine are like that too.... its residual from all the fertility meds ( or thats what they told me) RE told me to be careful and not jolt or jostle to much because it would be painful if one burst but not particularly harmful. congrats on the heartbeat!!!!!!

prayingforamiracle, i know your so excited! congrats on seeing your hb!

elvis triplets!!! omg, how exciting! i've got twins and i'm beside myself LOL. so if one split... does that mean you have one set of identical twins???

welcome neeta and congrats !

Kay, i'm glad someone else has been sick too( that way they can sympathize with me..... but i'm sorry if i accidently jinxed you with it. :)

I'm a little curious about some of this clinics yall are going too... at my clinic they see you once a week for scans and blood work and then realease you to your reg ob after about 6weeks. But my RE monitors his patients at least once aweek. I wonder if it is sometimes an insurance issue??? I tell you it is a huge relief every friday to see those heart beats. Anyway...
jen, i think the nature of all this business and how we got prego causes the anxiety. I sure wasn't this freaked out and worried with my first one. I took it for granted she would be fine. wehw... don't i miss THOSE days lol. i don't think i'll feel secure with this one until i'm holding my sweet babies in my arms at home! ;)

On a lighter note... i have company coming this weekend. two of my girlfriends from college. the last time we were all together was the weekend before Hurricane Katrina hit. I emailed the girls today and told them i couldn't wait to see them but to make sure they didn't bring any hurricanes with them this time LOL.

okay, sorry i wrote a book.. its hard to keep up on here if you miss a day!

moving along...

Post by NEETA »

Sounds like all the u/s are going great!! Everyone seem to be moving along.... and thats awesome news!

dixiegal1, i think your right about treatment and being a very worried pregnant girl...

This is my first, and my DH was so excited he told everyone except the Pope, i still think its early, in my heart i feel like everything is going to work out because we've been through so much.... i hope i am right.

i am going to my regualar obgyn on thursday.. hee hee I couldnt help it, i had to see someone this week except google!

I did have to call my RE because i had some bleeding during sex, it sort of freaked me out... i thought it was over, but the nurse told me its normal, blood vessels and the cervix or something like that, something else that is so far soooo pleasent

I read about your morning sickness, sorry, still not sick, maybe its too early i hope.

I will let you know what happens on thursday,,,
hope all is well with everyone

(ps) i went on lilypie and made one of those cute count down pics but i cant seem to get it on when i post, any direction? thanks!

Hi everyone - hope you are all ok.....
Please tell me does anyone else have the worst taste in their mouth? It is gross and really getting on my nerves, polos are about the only thing that help. I never experienced this with my other pregnancies and am not enjoying it.
Also up all night last night with the worst cramps ever, gave me a bit of a scare actually.

Hello everyone :D

Im so excited, thrilled, giggly, totally besisde myself with joy :D

Today the 1st aug 2007.... I saw my little ones heartbeats for the very first tim
It was sooo amazing, they couldnt get a good picture at first, and my heart was in my mouth...then there they were :)
We have 2 perfect little beans with litthe flashy hearts, 1 measures 81/2mm 2nd measures 10mm..both apparently right on track.

So funny though cos there a different size when he measured them they both came up with different due dates...LOL..2 days apart, but he has assured me that this wont happen

Feeling well today..not so tired as i have been, think the fact that were off on our hols in 2 days has given me a burst of energy.
Have booked in for my next scan...2 weeks time, so i will be just over 9 weeks then...how exciting.

While i was lying in bed this morning, unable to sleep as usual, i made mysef a promise, that if when i went to the scan today, and saw for myself that everything was well, then i would stop giving myself a hard time everyday and just try to enjoy this.

I dont know about you ladies but we wont be doing ivf again, so this will be the last time im ever pregnant and i really want to love every min of it,..you know what i mean!
Im gonna stop researching the bad things that may happen..im gonna stop looking for things that dont matter, and im gonna start to love my tiredness, be happy when im not feeling sick, but not worry if i dont.
Now i dont know how long all this positivity will last but im really gonna try..after all your not pregnant for long and i want to cherish every moment :)

So hows everyone else doing today? so glad you got to see the hb ker there amazing arnt they.

Elvisbaby..my dogs exactly the same as yours...hes really freaking me out!

Love to you all

Laurie - so glad you got to see the hb, it really gives you a relief.

Neeta - at the end of the lilypie insert, change the [img/] to [/img]...at least this is how mine is. I hope this works.

Funny about the dogs. I was at a friends house and her german shepard kept sniffing my belly. She said he did that to her while she was pregnant. I only see this dog about twice a year, so the dogs can really sense something.

Dixie - at my clinic, after my last beta, the doc saw me two wks later for first u/s, and will then see me after two more wks for second u/s, then releases me to ob.

Hey everyone,

Sorry I was not on for few weeks because I had so much going on. I am glad that everyone is doing good. Congrats to everyone. I am 9wks today and since week 6 I have been nauseated and vomiting. I could only eat at night. But it is for a good reason. I had U/S done 2 weeks ago and baby measured 7mm. Today I had my last appt. with RE and did U/S and baby measured 24mm. So it is growing pretty fast. I even saw and measured heartbeat and it was 167. So I am really happy that everything is going ok. I graduated from RE and will see my midwife on the 6th. Looking forward to that.

Thanks.

Hey all...So glad everyone is getting great scans and the babies are all doing wonderfully.

Laurie...I just had to say thanks...You brought me to tears with your note on enjoying every minute. It really did remind me to stop wanting the time to fly by (just until I get out of the first trimester), but to start enjoying every minute. You're so right...

Thought I was crazy, but my mom's doggie was just lovey dovey to me and couldn't figure it out...Now it makes sense with all the keen doggie talk.

Well, have our second scan on Friday morning. I am really anxious to see if the second sac that the doctor is unsure about is a viable second baby. The one viable one we saw the heartbeat with measured just over 11mm, and this one measured 9.5mm last week, so sounds like it could be large enough to still be growing..? He couldn't get a good pic of it, but wouldn't confirm that it wasn't a second one...So, not sure what we're dealing with. Thought the first scan would answer that question for us...Kind of embarrassing not knowing how many you're pregnant with...Hopefully this week will answer that looming question for us, and we can start planning a bit better. Much different situation expecting two versus the one.

I sprouted a little bit of a tummy this past weekend. Thought it was too early, and am trying to watch my eating. Don't want any more weight to have to loose afterwards than necessary. And want this to be a healthy pregnancy. I already have a weight issue, so have to keep an eye on this stuff.

Neeta...If you change the "[img/]" at the end of the lilypad link so that the slash is in front of the leters IMG then it should work...Hope that helps...

Oh well...Enough babbling from me...I just wanted to pop in and say congratulations to everyone and thanks to Laurie. Enjoy your hols, too...Take care...Later Gators...

HI! New here

Post by jippingh »

Hi. I am new here, so excuse the long message. I thought I'd post a reply here since I just completed my 2nd ivf and am due 3/30. I'd love to chat with others going through the same thing. I have an u/s tomorrow to see how many embrys made it. My levels were 157 and then 614 two days later. I was pregnant with twins w/ my 1st ivf. It was a difficult pregnancy and they were born 10 weeks early. We lost our son in NICU, but brought home our daughter after 45 days. So, I am nervous about having another prgnancy with more that one. I had an u/s last week, but since I was only 4 weeks they could not see anything. Has anyone had an u/s this early with the same results? Anyone with similar hcg levels? Thanks for listening and I am looking forward to chatting more.

Laurie- I am so happy that you got tot see the heartbeats- I know you feel much better now!!! I agree with you about trying to stop all the worrying and just enjoy what's happening now. I'm trying to do that as well. When do you have your next u/s? Are you going to be released to your ob/gyn soon?

Heather,

Welcome to the Board! With good reason you worry about your pregnancy this time around. I think it is too hard to say whether you are having twins or not until the next U/S.

Good luck to you and here's hoping you have a smoother pregnancy this time around because no two are alike. I just started getting morning sickness and this never happened with my first!

Take Care,

March 9 due date

Post by tix1974 »

Hi Ladies,
My due date is March 9, 2008. I am also carrying twins, which is very exciting. So far everything looks good (knock on wood). My specialist has released me to my ob-gyn. My first appointment with him is this Monday. I am 8 weeks 5 days pregnant and am feeling the morning sickness. I just have nausea all day, but have not vomited. So far it I am dealing with it just fine, no complaints here :D

Question: Anyone carrying twins and when did you feel like it was safe to share to the news to family and friends? I've heard of vanishing twin syndrome and it's freaking me out!
