loren, firstly well done for getting so many eggs and so many embryos. its great that they've let you go to day 5!! not too much advice for tomorrow except dont drink too much!! you have to go with a full bladder, but i made the mistake of starting to drink lots of water about 2 hours before the transfer and ended up having to go to the loo a little bit as i could barely walk!!   apart from that, try and watch the embies go in on the screen. i missed it last time!

good luck and let us know how you get on!!

lorenjill,

I had a 3 day transfer two days ago. I was only transferring one embryo and I only had 3 to choose from. since you have more embryos, they probably want to see how they grow. if they grow to the blast stage (5-day) in the incubator, then these embryos are more likely to be of a quality that can survive in the womb. i think they play a law of averages game. they said the other two i had could not be cryopreserved because they didn't meet the criteria.

as for the transfer....it's very easy. i rested for the first day, increased activity a little the second, went back to work today and am pretty much back to normal... but, i'm not going to yoga or playing golf or lifting anything over 5 pounds.

good luck to you!
