Thanks for the quick response. I spoke with the ST disability insurance company a few minutes ago. I think the way it works over here is that I only have to go through this independent party, but don't have to give the specifics to my company. I work for a VERY large (global) company. So they seem to have a handle on dealing with personal things for their people. I am going to give it a shot. I figure it is worth trying to get. I will keep you posted. It will be so nice to be able to just be on bed-rest for the weeks that I start my injections. I don't want to be bothered by anything that doesn't relate to ICSI.

Hi Anie
Just catching up on the posts. In the UK, the HFEA only allows for up to 2 embryos to be replaced if you are under 40 yrs. If +40 then you can have up to 3 replaced. I believe it is to minimise the number of "higher risk" multiples.

Good luck all of you ladies! Take it very easy and believe in miracles!!!!

Oh isn't that interesting???? I didn't know UK had those kind of imposed regulations (only allowing "x" amount to be put back in.....).......i think if you could find the right doc here in the states --- they would put back as many as you wanted!!!!! (probably wouldn't be a doc i'd ever want to go to!! ha, ha)

btw --- Anie --- GOOD LUCK w/ EC on Friday!!!

Hey everyone,
I only have a couple min free to post so I apologize I can't address everyone. This forum has gotten so big but it's great we can all be here for each other.

ICSI GIRL - GREAT NEWS on the ultrasound!!! GROW FOLLIES GROW!!! Remember all you need is that one special embie for this to work so don't get discouraged at all (though I'm sure you aren't) this early in the game.

Tracy - When do you find out your results?

Anie - Wishing you the best of luck!!!!

LisaPa - I'm thinking of you and can't wait to hear how the transfer goes. I hope you have a laptop so you can stay in bed and keep us updated. Stay busy and rent lots of movies. LOL. My prayers are with you today. I know your BFP is right around the corner!

For those I've missed, BEST OF LUCK to you all and I think it's so great we can all be so supportive of each other. I can't wait to start to hear all the wonderful BFP stories!!!

As for me, started Lupron on 7/28. Shots are going great so far. Really no big deal. I think I was a little nervous over them for no reason, but I'm sure the IM shots will be a little harder. Still over 3 weeks away for my ER on 8/24 and ET tentatively scheduled for 8/27. I won't know how my eggs are doing until about 8/13, my first U/S. Whoohoo!!!

BFPPPP'S AND PMA TO EVERYONE!!! HAVE A GREAT DAY!!! :D :D :D

Thanks! It is nice to be here. I can't seem to focus on anything else right now but this. I seem to be doing a lot more online research these days than before. I am so excited that this day is here. It seemed like forever before we would get to this point.

I know what you mean, I think about my treatment every second of the day, it's obsessive. I must have read the paperwork from the clinic a million times I should be able to quote it and I'm constantly looking at the calendar on my mobile counting myself through the days, baseline scan this day, start stimulating this day etc etc. DH copes by not thinking about it and putting it to the back of his mind, wish I could. It's driving me insane  I can totally sympathise. I wish I had found this thread during the 8 months I was waiting to get started, that was torture. But here we are at last, yippee!!!

I have a quick question. Has anyone had success in getting Short-Term disability approved for maybe the last 2-3 weeks of the cycle? I travel a ton for work, and work insane hours. I am wanting to take time off for this, but not really wanting to burn all of my vacation. Just curious if anyone has had luck with getting paid leave.
Where I work, I believe you have to use your vacay before your STD kicks in...or maybe it is your sick days? Do you have separate sick and vacay or is it all comp time? I say check with HR. Good luck. If worse comes to worse (if you can afford it) you can take Family Medical Leave...it is unpaid though.

Dang it I can't ovulate!!

Post by pequele »

GRRRRRRR I have been peeing on sticks since day 7 and so far no dark line!!! I came off b/c and have to practice this month until I have my physical on Aug 9 (as long as AF doesn't arrive but so far no reason to believe she will). THEN if AF would arrive and I can figure out how to ovulate I can have my 1st (and hopefully last!) IUI!!!

But dang it I can't ovulate!!! Help!!!!

Please don't despair Traci, the reasons for light spotting can be numerous...Maybe it's time for you to slow down...Maybe you should lay down tomorrow, read a book or watch some TV, but definitely try to turn your taughts in to positive ones!! Hang in there, Friday will come in no time :D :D :D
