Too late to join?

Post by yarnista »

Hey there everyone,

:D Just checking to see if it is too late to join this thread. I started lupron tonight for our 2nd try at IVF. The support this board gave me back in March meant a lot of difference for me.
I've just lost 20lbs and am doing accupuncture as well. I feel so much better with the PCOS now, lots more energy and feeling very positive about everything. I didn't do the lupron before the stimms last time so hopefully this will do the trick! Has anyone heard of L-arginine before? I'm going to ask the naturopath about it tomorrow. The other thing is RE told me I have to stop the weight loss so I'll have to be careful to increase my caloric intake. Hope everyone here is doing well!

Traci
You are doing everything you should be.....I know it is incredibly hard - hang in there. Only one day until Beta. I have everything crossed for you.

Pequele
Keep us up to date with your ovulation tests! When are you expecting to identify the LH surge?

Yarnista and Christin
Welcome! Good luck with this cycle! You are right...the support from the women and men here is amazing!

Lisa
Stick embies stick!!!!!! Fantastic news re the top grade embryos!

Anie
Good Luck on Friday! Take it easy for as long as you can after!!

ICSIGirl and Julianna - GROW FOLLIES GROW!!

Update on me: I finally convinced the powers that be to let me have a BetaHCG yesterday afternoon. I find out the results today. I am just hoping that the number is approx the average for my 20 days past EC (1200). I know the number doesnt guarantee anything but having had a BFN on Sat then a BFP on Mon I am really nervous to know that things are progressing.
I have been having strange pains almost like a pulling feeling which I dont remember from my last pregnancy (8 years ago!). But then I think I am much more aware of everything with IVF.

I have never really considered myself to be a religious person....but my goodness, I am praying hard for all of us!!!!!

Have a great day!

Hello and good morning.

Traci: Please remember PMA.Everithing will be alright.Don't worry and try to relax.I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. :)

Yarnisha/Chritin:Welcome.You are in right place.Very soon you will be adictid to this site...like i am. :D.
Founding this site and been part of it,it's so exciting! It's like a second family and is wonderfull! You will find 101% support here and so many fellows wishing each other PMA and i trully believe that these positive vibes do work!
It gives us strenght, hope and makes us feel so good.
Honestly,if it was not this site i would've gone mad by now lol.

Lisa: Keep us informed about your embies.I'm so excited!

Those who are on down reg & stimms:Don't forget to drink plenty of water.

And all the good luck for those that i forgot to mention....

Now me:
I'm so anxious and excited and nervous for tommorow.Does this make sence?!
I have to be at the hospital at 7.30am and the EC will be at 9am.
I was also prescribed Cyclogest pessaries.to use twice a day after the EC until the preg.test.And antibiotic called Doxycycline to take everyday.
Regarding the ET,if the doctor asks us how many do we want to put back in,we will go for 2.I hope i will be able to cope with twins if that happens.
I will be thinking of all of you tommorow!I wish i had a laptop with me.First thing i would do is to post my update but unfortunatly that won't be possible.:( After EC my next post should come on monday or tuesday.I don't know how im going to survive without you girls!

Oh!There is one thing i want to ask.
Maybe it's nothing to worry but just to make sure:
Yesterday i took Ovitrelle:Injection to mature the eggs. The nurse had told me to be very carefull and if i did not do it right everything would be wasted!!!
What happen was that i asked my sister in law to open the injection for me.She opened it and released the air and by doing so she lot a little bit of the fluid and then when i was injecting myself i lost a little bit as well :( So i would say it was only 1-2drops that i lost.Just a tiny bit.
Do you think this is serious??? DH said should not be a problem but i need your advice on this.

Thank you.
Anie :)

Ciao! Has anyone used Tetracycline before? I read some information about a side affect of turning your teeth brown. My mom said that she thinks it was taken off of the market years ago because of side effects. I am wondering if I should ask to be prescribed a different antibiotic. Any thoughts?

Well, well, well :!: :!: Everybody is so busy "cycling" that i can hardly keep up anymore!! Hope everbody's feeling well and doing great!!

Lisa: 8/15 = BFP!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D you take it easy so that those little embies stay put!! ***** STICKY BABY DUST TO YOU MY FRIEND!! *****

Traci (twc): i know is easier said than done, but TRY to remain calm between now and tomorrow!! :P we're all sending lots & lots of PMA your way.......not to mention all the baby dust floatin' around here  let us know as soon as you find out tomorrow.....we'll all be waiting!

Pequele: LOL!! i vividly remember the peeing on stick days!!! :? your dark line will come

Yarnista: WELCOME!! i'm pretty certain that you'll fine this thread the best of the best out there right now!! ha, ha  Gals in here = AMAZING!!!!!!!! good job on you weight loss.......and good luck on your journey :-)

Tracey (cwrj00): LET US KNOW AS SOON AS YOU FIND OUT RESULTS FROM BETAHCG!!!!!!!!!! :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

Anie: How did EC go?? Hope you're feeling well :)

Observer: GOOD LUCK w/ test tomorrow  let us know as we'll all be waiting for answers around here!

Now me......went to see nurse erin this morning for us & bw..... i have under 10 follies (somewhere between 7-10) total......currently about 1/2 & 1/2 far as "perfect size" & "little small"......doc changed my meds on tues to see if could get the smaller ones up and running and so far, so good - but still too early to tell if they will catch up completely......i go again on sat morning, possibly sunday as well.........nurse erin says based on her prior experience - looking at probably TUESDAY for ER.....think i've decided that i like it when DOC does us better than when nurse erin does it ----- love nurse erin, don't get me wrong.....just that doc points that thing exactly in the right direction on the first prodding and goes "there's 1, 2, 3, etc) and locates everything right away ---- it takes nurse erin a bit more prodding around down there!! Not that its "painful" - just uncomfortable

Tracey and Angie. No idea on the day my dark line will show...that is the problem. Just off b/c so I have no idea even how long my cycle will be. It is all practice this month, but it is killing me! CD 19 and no sign....today my temp was up but at the same time it has been a warm couple of days and it was hot. Guess I will see tomorrow morn. I'd just feel better if I can pee a dark line

Good luck everyone with growing big, strong follies!!! And all the transfers...hope they stick stick stick!!!!! Think velcro

Hi Angie,

Thank you for your response! I am already feeling encouraged! It's like an "emo-energy booster shot"!!! Thank you thank you and thank you. You know, I haven't talked to any of our friends or relatives (except our moms) about this journey we are taking. It's very, very stressful for the both of us. My DH is especially feeling guilty. He said "sorry" again last night after I told him how scared I feel. Poor thing. Trust me. I will be checking in frequently as I am on holiday right now. I am sure I will get tons of support here. I am also very eager to show my support for others who are in the same boat.

Thanks again!

lala: am guessing by the fact that you said that you're on "holiday" that you're not in the states?? UK?? i know what you mean about not telling people and having it be stressful :? my dh and i decided not to tell ANYBODY --- including mom!! was kinda my doing though --- my mother would add stress to this already stressful situation!! so i thought better of telling her.....figured she'll be just as excited if we're able to announce BFP!!! also - the spin we put on the whole thing is that do people "announce" to the world when they're trying to have a baby?? not-so-much......not like they go around saying "hey - we had sex last night....on the kitchen floor!!" so why should i divulge this very personal information to just anybody??? (and yet i'm out here on the world wide web blabbing to all my newly acquired ivf bff's!!!!) ha, ha, ha, ha   time will pass very quickly once you start your shots.....then from what i've been able to assess ---- everything comes to a blessed stop during our 2ww!!!! ha, ha....

THanks Angie for your response again. I definitely find a lot of comfort hearing from people so quickly.

Hey ladies, since I am being a nervous head about the injections and all that starting next Monday, would someone please share their experience about their injections? Is it something that's easy to do? What are some side effects you experience other than the soaring? My doc said the Lupron may make me nauseated/edgy/dizzy? Anyone felt that when they were on Lupron?

Thanks!
