Julie - it sounds like you and I are in the same boat hun with the family stuff. Is your mum like mine and never met anyone again? I often think it would have been so much easier if my mum had met someone else as I don't think all this agro would have happened.

"ceilidh'ing" is when you ceilidh dance?? Ringing any bells? Its traditional Scottish dancing - fab fun. Think of the dashing white seargents, the eightthsome reel, the gay gordons etc etc..... recognise?? You really need to wear your trainers tho if you're up for it all night as can be exhausting on the feet

Nicki - give Jen my love and best wishes if you speak to her again. Did Af come today?? Its the count down now for the successful no. 6! I just know it'll be lucky for you too. Hope you're chillin and doin nice things.

Well its the weekend again! Yeah! Definitely havin a quieter one than last week. Meeting a friend for coffee today and gonna try and get some baby essentials as I can't believe I only have 8 weeks!! The time has gone so fast and I want to be organised. Apart from that, not up to much. My ante natal classes start on Tuesday so dh has the day off then but unfortunately he's workin tomorrow. I hate when he works Sundays

Lisa - no we aren't going to tell anyone until the 12 week scan, am so nervous that something may go wrong and I don't want to tell people just in case! I can't believe you only have 8 weeks to go -where did that go?

Julie - how's you? Enjoying your weekend I hope?

Lucy, Jen - hope you guys are both ok and that it all went well in Barcelona Jen?

As for me, it still hasn't sunk in!! I thought the 2WW was bad but now having to wait 3 weeks until our scan - its killing me!! Julie, Lisa - did you guys worry about every little cramp and twinge after you found out you were pregnant? Thats all I seem to do at the moment, worry about whether I should be having mild cramps etc!! Any advice would be gratefully received!

OMG 3 pregnant pheonixes!!!

Surely i must be next then Jen......

Anyway, AF did come, in the early hrs this morning, i was rudly awoken by the niggling stomach cramps!!! But last night i was so sad, and depressed and kept cryin' I kept syaing to dh that i was scared about these 2 iuis not working, and it being the end 4ever, i know it natural to think this way, but i cant help it. However, i am feelin a tad better 2day, i guess the pma is lifting now, usually does once Af comes, but its 25c here today, and stuffy 'n' hot... you know, muggy sticky heat so not not nice really.... went out shopping this morning, had some pub grub too, now just at home!!! Just chilling tonight, will eat dinner out on our new patio, and chill there this the sun sets......

going to a ipswich football game 2moro, just a pre season friendly.... the season starts again nxt week.....

Trying to sort, a holiday for sept/oct..... near my b'day, thnk we'll stay in the uk this time parhaps go up to york shire, or lake district.....also trying to plan xmas or new yr too, thinking of edinburgh.... not sure if to do xmas and new year or one of other...... since we r both due back at wrk on 2nd jan, it woul mean travelling home on the 1st, and trains and flights dont often run that day do they, if we drive it, i would have to do scotland to suffolk myself and its a long way..... i hate long distance driving, gettng to lincoln is about enough for me, an thats 2hrs away.......

Kate, i hope u get heaps of advice from lisa and jules, you'd better retain it, as i'll be needing it nxt month!!!!

Nicki - I so want to give you a big hug! Drive up to Scotland so I can give you one! xxx I know exactly how you feel. We all do. You just have to muster up all your strength, PMA & courage over the next month and let us support you as much as possible. How is dh handling it all? Take heart in the fact that you ovulate normally and have normal cycles and all seems to be A OK. That's what I kept telling myself - that there was no reason for IU not to work. Keep hanging on in there sweetie xxx

Kate - I had AF type pains over the first couple of weeks after finding out about BFP. They are entirely normal - your uterus is stretching and not used to having something attaching itself and burrowing in making itself comfy! Then when I didn't get the pains, I worried! Any days my boobs stopped hurting, I worried too!! Some days you will feel different to others and its all a normal part of the pregnancy! Just try and relax as much as poss and enjoy the ride! My good friend sais she felt entirely nrmal throughout her first pregnancy - didn't feel pregnant at all in the early stages so it really is different for everyone. Any more questions, just ask. Enjoy the party - what is a pampered chef party??! xx

Thanks Lisa, that put my mind to rest - at least for a little while until something else happens and I start to panic again!!! I am trying to enjoy it, it just seems so surreal and until the first scan I don't think I will truely believe I am pregnant!! I will keep asking questions - you'll be so fed up with me you'll wsh you never offered!!

A pampered chef party7 is where someone comes to your house and cooks a main and desert course (you buy the ingredients) for however many people you invite and then you get the chance to buy the utensils (bit like a tupawear party but a bit posher and the food is lovely!!)

Nickie - I agree with what Lisa said, keep the PMA going. There is nothing wrong with you and it will happen just keep believing that. This time round I felt differently, like I had accepted it and if it was meant to be it would happen, I didn't stress about it (granted I got emotional at the ET) and I really think that made a difference. I have faith in you

It's amazing how bad the world seems the day before AF comes...Know that feeling well as my AF was so late last month. To everyone thanks for all your loving support...you are great...
We had some fab time away in Gairloch weather was dry and warmish. flew out to Brcelona on Thurs night. MS vertigo was fine as i am on some great homeopathic meds. we stayed in a lovely apart /hotel which had a lovely resturant where we had dinner. (it included breakfast in the price) WE left the next morn at 9am and had a 15 min walk to IM. Roastin hot at that time of the morn but we coped. Filled in usual forms and Ad went to give sample. Although the rubber glove he had to use wouldn't have fitted Kylie Minogue( very small) he mananged fine and came back with a smile on his face as the room had dvd porn in it. So much better than NHS where you have to go and use a toilet and use inspitation ( he said)!!!!! I know TMI here but thoght it would make you smile!!!!!

We met with a lady gyno Doc called Monica. Who we will be in contact with all our tmt, and she will do ET. She went through all the tmt cycle. BC pills until Donors AF due...i top taking BC pills... then we sync with her stimming and me taking eostrogen patches until ET. then progesterone pessaries to hopefully BFP. The donor is found through eye hair height and weight comparancies. And we aslo have a back up donor just incase something goes wrong or donor has life problems ( family death etc) so has to abort tmt. So thats good to know wee have a couple of donors. The donor is 18-35 years old and will have been screened medically and psychologiclly to go through stimming and egg donor.

we then spoke through our past cycles of natural preg and ivf tmts. because of the ectopics she suggested we pay 150 euros ( 90 quid) for uterus lining biopsy tests for cell abnormallities and deep infection. So as well as catheter test for ET i had a womb biopsy.( Results in 3-4 wks) B'dy hell!!!!!! was that painful.!!!!!! Dh said afterwards that he would need to watch when i give birth that i don't crush his hands to bits like i did then We are both excited as we were given a 60% chance of BFP (the highest rate since before 1st ectopic) of conceiving. So have much Hope at the moment. In the scan we sawa follierowing so i am still ovulating so no menopause yet!!! Just mixed up AF's. I did have a bigger bleed wheni was away on hols so hope that af does arrive on the 26th Aug...

anyway must go now as i have a BIG heap of laundry to do and ironing. Plus i want a kip this avo as i am a tired jen

Jen welcome back!! So glad to hear Barcelona went well despite having to have womb biopsy too - OUCH! There's definitely something in the no. 6 as you've also been given a 60% chance of BFP as well as it being try no. 6!! What are BC pills? Excuse my ignorance! That made me laugh about Adam - and a rubber glove - ooh matron!! Hope you are now resting up huh. So does it all start when your AF arrives?

Kate - how was the party?? That sounds like fabulous idea. So did you do any of the cooking? And what did you have? Hope you had your "not drinking" excuses at the ready! How are you feeling? I became ravenous and so thirsty from the day after I found out and has neveer really gone away!

Julie - how's your wkend going? What have you been up to? Have you bought anything yet or been looking at prams etc?

I'm still in my PJ's despite getting up at 9 am!! After dh went to work I started trying to work out our finances for when I get weekly pay (instead of monthly) and half pay instead of full Jen, yes I work in an Eye Hospital (good old NHS) and work with people who have an ocular muscle imbalance (lots of kids under 5) but I also manage the service so have 14 staff. The only good thing (so cynical I know) with the nhs as an employer is that you get 8 weeks full pay followed by 18 weeks half pay plus the government maternity pay and I get 33 days holidays plus stat days. Next week I am starting with 5 weeks paid holidays before going on mat leave. Am really hoping I can manage to take at least 11 months off. A year would be better tho!

OK think I better go now and get a shower! Then I'm off to meet a friend for coffee and hopefully get some more baby bits and bobs. Boots have 20% off baby stuff this weekend. Bargain!

so think we'll do 23/24 for 5 days maybe.....Do u think we'd have a nice time there on xmas day?? i guess a hotel/bar is all we need on xmas day and we can wonder the city wrapped in our scarves too.......We have decided to do xmas alone, not that the familys know that yet, but hey hoe!!!
