Hey May/June Cycle Buddies...Read this!

Post by jen779 »

Hello All!
Just wanted to let everyone know that I had my FET in July and I am PREGNANT! My first beta was 1625 (14dpt) and 3101 (16dpt). My first US is scheduled for 8/7. We are sooo thrilled, but very cautious with this one because of the miscarriage in March. My RE changed my meds...so no allergic reaction this time. I am on Endometrin, which is a new form of progesterone approved by the FDA. It is given vaginally, but the only down side is that the only way you can tell if it is working properly is through an endometrial biopsy...which they aren't going to do. So since my progesterone level dropped from 13.1 to 7.7 on the 2nd beta she has also put me on prometrium 3xs per day. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that this one will be okay! Hope everyone is doing great! XOXO to all!
Love,
Jen

trust your body

Post by Literatriz »

Hi Jen,
Congratulations!!!!
I have read summaries of periodicals on reproductions and there is a great variation in the way females respond to hormonal medication. Soy is supposed to be a nice source of natural estradiol and a few other hormones. Maybe you could look into nutrition, eat well and trust your animal instincts eating whatever you feel like eating.
ON the other side, cortisol levels are associated with miscarriages. Cortisol is the hormone we release when we are stressed out. So, take it easy and avoid stress at all costs.
I am praying for you. I will keep an eye on the panel. I loved the way you called our attention, we, the old cycling buddies.
May your child find warmth and calm within your womb.
Best wishes, Literatriz

HELLO THERE! :D:D:D:D:D:D

Looks like some of us can't help but take a peek once in a while! (LOL I'm guilty... I like checking the preggies and see how they're doing!)

CONGRATULATIONS JEN! Oooooh, I'm so happy that it worked out for you darling! This is amazing news and I gotta agree with Jovigal; those numbers sound good!

And I also gotta agree with marsxp... I DO miss you guys also. You know what? Our buddies group was relatively small, and I think that's why we had such a nice feeling of kinship and closeness... Definitely something that helped the whole process.

You can be sure you're all in my heart and I have a thought for you here and there.

Ahem, but more personally to you sweet Jen (wooooohooo!), I'm really glad that your docs are keeping a close watch on you. Looks like they adjust pretty quickly to how you're evolving physically and that's gotta be reassuring.

And Literatriz, you bad bad girl! Stressing about avoiding stress at all costs ALSO causes corstisol to flare! LOL

Jen, whatever you do, listen to yourself. Take time, several times a day, to just stop whatever you're doing and observe. If you feel like you have 100 things to do and little time to do them, if you feel scared and desperate for something to reassure you, then take time to do something nice. Reward yourself. Watch TV, cuddling with your DH or pet (I know... same thing in some cases, lol), take a walk, listen to music, read a nice book. EVERYTHING can wait; you're the most important. If there is a problem, there's a solution somewhere. If the situation is out of your control, then worrying about it will not change anything, except making you even more miserable.

Okay, editorial over! :)

Take care, y'all! Love ya! See ya!
