CroElla on Aug 3rd too?

Post by observer »

I think CroElla is testing on Aug 3rd too. She has one post earlier in the 2ww. Good luck to her too!

Thanks, Angela for the wishes. It's kind of unnerving to know that you will find out on your own on Sunday before the test is due. My test would normally be done on Sat Aug 4th, but my clinic doesn't test on Saturdays and they said they will be able to extrapolate the HCG from Friday... I guess it is standard procedure for them to do it this way - I'm glad for it - otherwise I would have to wait till Monday.

It's interesting that while the fertility clinic worked through the weekend, the lab tests have to be done by the main hospital and they don't do "routine" work on weekends...

I had minor PMS-like cramps yesterday. Nothing else! Even my bloating and bb tenderness has decreased now. Who knows?

Alex and Traci- good luck

Post by observer »

Hang in there everyone! Thanks Alex, for starting this thread. It has not been as busy as some of the others, but it is nice to have buddies testing on/around the same time.

Angela, I envy you that you have the support. We decided to keep it private for no particular reason, other than our families live far away and we didn't want them to worry when they couldn't be with us. Also, my mother is a bigger overanalyzer and I am happy to not be discussing every symptom in detail with her - or else she would be googling all day too and calling me up. It's like I am living two lives right now - one for the outside world (everything is normal) and one secret one....

Hi all...good luck to everyone getting ready to test.

Angela, I did a hpt and it was neg. I think it is too early still. However, at least I know the Hcg is out of my system.

I have not had any spotting or bleeding, not sure if good sign or not. A little cramping, nothing major. I am glad for the weekend coming up since will be busy. Work is slow and I have too much time to think about everything. Worrying really won't change anything, but it's just human nature.

Wow, Observer, that is really lucky for you, that they are able to test a day before. All the best for tomorrow.

Amy - dont worry, like you say, it can be too early for it to show on an hpt, as you have til Wednesday to go. If I do one, Im not planning to do one until Monday (thats if I dont get my period beforehand), but to be honest I dont know whether I want all that extra worrying stress...

Alex, Traci - where are you? Everything OK???

Amy - how are you? When did you do your hpt and when did you have your last hcg shot? I was just wondering how long it takes for it to leave your system as I am thinking (only thinking) of doing one, and not wanting to do it too soon. My last hcg shot was on Monday.

Traci, I am praying for you. It could still be a BFP. Let us know.

Angela, I took hpt on day 6, Tuesday, July 31. And was neg. Took trigger on July 20. So I think that means the hcg is out of my system. Now I am addicted and am taking hpt every day.

Is anyone else sleeping a whole lot? AT first I could not sleep at all, and now for the past 2 days, I have been going to bed around 7:30 or 8. Am so tired.

Best wishes to everyone!!!

bfn...

Just updating everyone - I got a BFN ...
I had been prepared for the worst but it was a humbling experience anyway. I am upset but outwardly calm cos I have stuff I need to focus on at work and can't afford to get emotional... I know DH was dissapointed..
Well, I guess that we just have to find a way to recover and do some other things for a while (like...hmm... jump, lift heavy things, swim, take baths, have sex, etc, etc, etc... ) that would be a start....

Good luck to everyone...

Observer,

I am so sorry to hear your test results. I know it is hard but try to remain optimistic. I have a friend who went through the same thing and then wound up with twins. Maybe this will give dr's a chance to find something that could be causing the infertility. Will you ivf again?

Just updating, I got a BFN today. I was expecting it but still had that little glimmer of hope. My dh and I have decided we will try IVF again next month. I have a phone appt. with my Dr. this week to discuss this cycle and see if we need to do any other tests or another diag.lap.(i have endo) or just start in on the next cycle. It's scary to think about this time around because it kinda feels like might be my last chance to have a baby since we are paying out of pocket. Hopefully, we will have some to freeze this time, that would help alot. I wish everyone else luck and will keep you informed.

Although haven't posted much here, I wanted you all to know how much I appreciated your postings. I recieved my BFN today. I am mostly just relieved to know one way or another. Seconding guessing every imagined and actual symptom was just crazy. My DH has gone to bed exhausted after carrying so much in looking after our daughter while I had my progesterone pessery lie downs-having to get up every morning for the early shift and doing the bath and bed every night. And also sad that it didn't work out. But I have really found checking everyones thoughts so helpful. We have to decide whether to proceed straight into a new stim cycle now. But wishing all the greatest success with their IVF journey. It did work so well for us the first time and it has been the most wonderful thing in my life.
