Hi,
I just had a question for any one who has had an ovarian cyst. I had a ultrasound and my trial transfer today. When the nurse was doing the ultrasound I could tell something was wrong. Afterwards she went to get the doctor and I looked at the screen and it said I have a stable ovarian cyst at 1.6cm. When the doctor came in she said nothing about it and acted as if I would still be doing my IVF in September. I should have asked her about it but never did. So I was wondering what this means and if any one has had one before will it give me less chances of IVF working?

OC. . .ouch! Although I have had plenty of them in my life, I have never had a problem with them and IVF. Most of mine have burst in the past and been SUPER painful and then I had a large one removed surgically at the same time I had an ectopic. I really think every situation is different.
So, I'm of no help but I just wanted to say good luck to you and I hope everything goes well and you get your BFP!!!!! Lots of baby dust to you!

Hi Amy me too i have had them all the time, every cycle of IVF i have them too they have never caused a problem for me..i think all women get them, it can be scary to see them up on the screen but they are normal .wishing you luck and a big baby belly

don't be alert but I had two cycles canceled due to a cyst, actually huge cysts. I believe they were around 25 +mm every time. It might interfere with IVF cycle but it also depends on a doctor. Some will tell you to go ahead and it is ok, some would be very careful about it. I think your doctor didn't pay to much attention to it because you are doing your IVF in September. It might disappear on it is own till that time. I would suggest you do another U/s couple weeks before starting your cycle to see if it disappeared. I was given BC pills before my 3rd cycle to help to get rid of the cyst. Good luck and lots and lots of baby dust to you!!!

I am on bcp now did it do what it was supposed to do and get rid of your cyst. I am hoping that mine is gone by the baseline ultrasound.
