Hi Jo

Im now 10weeks and 2 days prg with twins and i have had very bad sickness since week 5/6.

I have just bought sea sick bands yestarday and i have to say so far so good they dont make you look stunning like but i havent felt sick today yet.

You get them from the chemist and it does say that prg woman have used them, they were £7.99 but you have to wear one on each wrist.

Hope they help you aswell.

Love Louise x x x x
Hi Jo

I found that the only thing to stop my nausea was to eat constantly! And I only wanted to eat biscuits and crisps so I had to justify to my class of 5 year olds why I could eat junk in class while they had to sit and work without constantly snacking!

Jules

thanks guys, I will check out those wristband things - I've heard good reports about those b4.

With regard to eating - I'm trying so hard just to nibble on melba toast or something low fat. It's a weird feeling, feeling sick but hungry at the same time.

Good luck to all you fellow sickies out there - hope it soon passes.

Jo
XX
Hi Jo,

DEfinately go for the funky sea bands - i lived in them for about 6 weeks!! As everyone told me ginger biccies did help me, although i couldn't stomach them most of the time. Breadsticks were quite good though - i think as long as you don't get an empty stomach you feel a bit better,

Good luck and take care, Lizzy xxx
Definitely Sea-Bands - got mine in Boots on Saturday and have felt so much better since. Look a bit odd though as their like sweat bands circa "Fame" era!!!!!!! But if it does the trick!

LOL

Rachel
x
Hi Jo

I was very sick every day from 5-6 wks till 18-19 wks and the only thing that made me feel better was either eating or throwing up!!!

Just one of the joys of pregnancy!

Good luck,

Luv Rachel X
(27 wks with twins)
Hi Jo
Sickness is not a very nice thing and I have had such a rough time of it, I always found that snacking constantly done the trick but it really was horrible, I am nearly 14 weeks now and mine has died down. I hope that you will be feeling better soon, we have to take the good with the bad with being pregnant.
Take Care
Love
Shell.
xx
Hi everyone & thanks. I'm certainly not complaining about the sickness, I am thankful for every gut-wrenching minute of it, believe me cos its something I never thought I'd experience my whole life.

The sea-bands sound a good idea - trouble is, no-one knows yet so I'll have to get a headband and some legwarmers too and just pretend I've gone 80's retro or something. Probably it'll catch on.

I have also been nibbling melba toast and keep a little bag of dry cereal with me (Special K - yum!).

It's good to hear from you all - look after yourselves and your bumps. Going to find out how many tomorrow and can't wait. One baby would be kind of a relief, but two (or more!!) would be very exciting too - really don't mind.

Lots of Love - Jo. XXXXX

Hi Jo,

I found the sea bands excellent, and have been wearing them for the last 6 weeks but I am 12 weeks now and for the past 2 weeks the sickness has got worse - I have been throwing up first thing in the morning and a couple of hours after every meal (sooner if I eat anything high in fat like ice cream - won't be doing that again!).

Having said that, Twinings do a lemon and ginger tea you can get in bags which are very good - they work even better if you shove in a squeeze of lemon and a slice of ginger.

The good thing is that nausea is a sign of a healthy pregnancy - difficult to remember when your throwing your guts up I know!!

love Sally xxx

Hi Jo,

I also used the bands and the eating of copious amounts of ginger snap biscuits...one other little trick was to eat dried apricots ...which also helps if you have low iron levels. And one other handy hint..if you have a favourite perfume..stop wearing it until all the morning sickness passes, otherwise you can be put off it for life. My mum told me that one and I was amazed how many firends had the same experience, I stopped wearing anything perfumed till the end of the pg and apart from saving my dh a fortune, it meant I knew I could enjoy my perfume again....even 37 years later my mum gags every time she smells chanel no5!!!!

do you know how many yet??? early morning sicknes is a good sign of more than one.....
Thanks for all your tips girls. It is only one baby Nicky - had our scan last week. With twins the sickness must be terrible!! I'm just a big wimp when it comes to nausea, and probably mine isnt so bad .. not actually been sick yet just feel sick most of the time.

I've heard that ginger is good so I'll give that one a try. Bought the lucozade tablets last night and these seem OK. What I find quite good is a fizzy drink so am mixing sparkling water and orange juice which is rather nice.

Hope you all have good days. Lots of Love, Jo XXXXXX
The sickness is not very nice I will be 15wks on Thursday and mine has eased off quite alot, unless I have a big meal and then it makes me feel sick.
I have stomach ache today but I am sure that will ease off.
Love
Shell.
xx
