Hi Everybody,
Well AF finally showed up & today I started the FET meds. I'm taking dexamethasone(in case I have some type of auto-immune thing), an IM injection of delestrogen, baby aspirin, & inserted an Estring.
I also stopped drinking coffee today, so needless to say, I'm feeling pretty out of it. I don't know if it's the steroids, the estrogen, or the caffiene withdrawal.
It's still exciting to be starting a new cycle with the renewed hope of it working this time.
Is anyone else on delestrogen? Last time I didn't have to have injections, just estrogen dots.

Hi 2nd timer...I am on estrogen pillsx2per day...on injections...dont know why....good that u quit coffee..it increases your estrogen...

dodo...u do have good embies as they survied...you will the first preggo amoung us..fingers crossed...did you have blasts???

HI Sanya,
Yes, they were blasts, 5 days old, with assisted hatching. My uterus lining was really thick, measured at 18, so I don't know if that will hurt things. The DR said its fine, and my 1st IVF when I got a BFP, my uterine lining was thick....

My boobs hurt, and the last few days I had period like cramps, today no cramping. I am tired all the time!!!!!

How are you all doing?

By blood test, how soon can a pregnancy be detected? I am going to my regular obgyn to have my progesterone checked on Tuesday, Wonder if I can get them to do a blood test ---The infertility clinic won't check my progrestone levels!

Donna, I asked my clinic to check my progesterone during my next 2ww but they said they wouldn't either. Do you know why yours wouldn't? You went to your own RE and she/he is okay with checking it?

Good luck during your 2ww. I am waiting for AF to arrive and then I'll start my estrogen. I am anxiously awaiting it - I think tomorrow of friday. I will hopefully be transferring some blasts too - I have three to thaw so I am hoping that at least 2 make it!

Hi all,

I am having upset stomach since I have started the estrogen pills. My nurse says that it could be the pills. I go 3-5 times a day. Its kind of diarhea. Sorry to be soo graphic. The reason I am worring is because during my first bfn ivf, I got very bad diarhea and gas on the night of embryo transfer and I had to apply lot of pressure when I went to the loo. RE thinks that it could be the reason of my bfn.

Does anybody have this problem....do u think I should go or patches or injections????gosh help me...

HI GIRLS, I RECENTLY GOT MY FIRST BFN 8-2 AND AFTER MY CONSULT HOPEFULLY START MY FET. NEVER DONE ONE YET- HOW LONG DO THEY MAKE YOU WAIT TO START AGAIN AND WHAT KIND OF MEDS ARE USED FOR THIS ONE?

OK, I'm freaking out & need some advice. About a week ago I was working out in my yard & apparently got some type of poison ivy/poison oak all over my side & right thigh. It got so bad that I had to go to my primary care MD & get a shot of Depo-Medrol yesterday. They also gave me a script for prednisone but I haven't been taking them.
The reason why I'm so upset is because I don't know if this screws up the FET cycle or not. I'm on day 5 of the cycle. I called my RE office & left a vm on the nurse line explaining what happened but I haven't heard back yet. I'm going to be so very very bummed if they want to cancel the cycle and I feel so stupid for getting this rash. I should have been more careful or maybe I could have toughed it out a little longer with going to my primary care.
Has anything like this ever happened to any of you?

PS. Stressball, I also had GI problems right before & after the last transfer and have been thinking that maybe it contributed to the BFN. I suggest taking fiber capsules with lunch & dinner and eating very low fat meals. It has really helped me.

Hi 2nd timer....I am soo soory that u are going through this.....well I have bad allergies so I asked my RE if I could still take antihistamine while I am doing the IVF...I think the meds u have is also antihistamine...so he said that histamine is required for implantation of the baby...so I should stop it right before my ET and should not take it until blood test...so I guess you should ask the Doc...if this is an antihistamine and if it is..how soon can it get out of your system...you still have lot of time of the ET...also do some resesrch on the medicine if that is safe for pregnancy or not..if not then talk to your RE....hope that helps....will keep you in my prayers...

I never heard back from the MD today so I think that's probably a good sign. I was afraid they would call back & say to stop the meds & start over again next month. Paranoid, I know, but this stuff really makes me anxious when I stop to think about it.

hi everyone. I am new to this board. My wife and I just had our first ivf cycle. Everything was going smoothly we had an US at 6w1d and saw heartbeat and sac. Went back on fri which was 8 weeks and there was no heartbeat. DR, said embryio was only measuring at 6w 3d so something happened a day or so after last US. my wife and I are really bummed. We have 2 embryios that were frozen on day 6 will probably try fet next what advice does anyone have or any other tidbits i should know . Thanks good luck to all

So sorry to hear about the miscarriage. I've never been pregnant, but I can't imagine how hard it must be to get that far & then loose it. I'm very sorry for you & your wife.

-So I'm lost count. How many have had the ET so far & how many days into the 2WW are you?
-Amber77 -usually you have to wait at least one cycle. I've found it's really good to let some time go by for emotional healing too. But I also understand the strong desire to get things going already & get pregnant!
