Hi - I'm 22 weeks preg and am scheduled to fly from Ny to Seattle next week. I asked my doc, and they said flying is ok to 32 weeks. But I'm nervous. Has anyone had a problem flying, or heard about problems?
I don't have any problems to report. I just wanted to tell you that when I was around 25 weeks with my daughter we flew from Miami to San Francisco and back. When I asked the doctor said it was fine, but if I had any concern to get an aisle seat so it would be easier to get up and move around every hour or two to make sure blood flow to my legs wasn't an issue and to make sure to stay hydrated as planes are very drying. This early it is generally fine though.
My MIL wants me to go to Thailand for my nephews baptism as I am the godmother. I think I will avoid that though but I am more concerned about shots and exposure and lack of sleep from a 23 hour trip with connections than the flight itself.
Hi there,
I'm 26 weeks with a second pregnancy and have just completed a return longhaul (Singapore-London) and 2 short european return flights.
My doc said there is an increased risk of DVT, so drink plenty of water and walk around every hour or so. No problem with our 1-year-old in tow!
Must admit I was too nervous to fly in my first pregnancy - guess you have to do what you are most comfortable with.
All the best

I also hear that flying is ok until you are 32 weeks. I am sure you will be fine but I understand you want to do everything right. You should be fine. Good Luck
