pregnant naturally after treatments

Post by Cori »

Hello everybody!
I just found out today that I am pregnant. My husband and I have been TTC for 2 1/2 years follwing an ectopic in March 2005. We have underwent 6 IUI's and 1 failed IVF all with fail and we were preparing to start another IVF cycle, waiting for my period to come and it never did. I went to my clinic today to see why my period wasn't coming and honestly didn't think that I could be pregnant and I was. I am so excited and still in shock. I wanted to share my good news with the people that hepled me through these hard times. I congratulate all of you as well. There really is hope for all of us after all.
Do any of you know anything about HCG levels. Mine was 8477 today and I am 5 1/2 weeks pregnant. We did see the sac in th uterus and also a heartbeat. There appears to be only one but the numbers seem high to me. Does anyone have any experience with what these numbers mean?

Congrats to you and DH!!!! It must have been the best surprise of your life! Enjoy the next 8 months.

I wouldn't worry at all about the numbers. They range so much for everyone and mine were low and I'm pg w/ twins. Go figure?? Just enjoy the moment and try not to think of all the technical stuff. It'll just make you uselessly worried.

Take care and congrats!!!

Cori, Congrats! My pregnancy occurred in a very similiar manner--I'm almost 34 weeks and it's still hard to believe. Don't worry about your hcg numbers at all---they vary greatly from person to person and just cause more worry than anything!

Hope you have a very easy and enjoyable pregnancy!

Congrats!!! It's hard to believe after trying for so long.....and then wham bam you concieve naturally. We were shocked by our own situation and still have a hard time believing it's true and happened. I ditto Meg, don't stress the numbers, be content knowing and charishing that baby! Enjoy the next 8!
