Well, we've finally done it!
After one ectopic, losing a tube, 1 failed IVF then having the second one removed because of a hydrosalpinx we are finally pregnant !! Just... now am scared and worried that something might go wrong as I am leaning on 40! Does this feeling go away soon ?

I have been reading the postings here over the past few months and all the goood news and joy has certainly been an inspiration, especially the Xmas Miracle babies! Look foward to more good news and smiles.

Lol
Susi
Susi

Congrats - I have had one ectopic after first ivf and took the tube out but couldn't get the other out as attached to my bowel! I also have ulcerative colitis so not good - another 3 attempts and PG!! I am 37 and the worry still continues especially as I have a colitis flare up and now on steroids for 8 weeks! Trying not to think this could cause m/c but 15 weeks on wed and as each week goes past I tick it off!!
there are moments of joy and you don;t worry all the time but there does always seem to be something.
Welcome anyway
Love
Tracey
xxx

Hi Susi and many many congratulations. I guess that lots and lots of us IVF'ers are "pushing 40" (i'm 36 in a few days) so you're not alone there. With regard to the worry, I'm sure that like the rest of us you'll just live from scan to scan now, and TRY to find a bit of normality in between if you can!!

Keep plodding, day by day, week by week. You'll get there.

Lots of Love - Jo. XXXXX (7.5 weeks pg so new at this and still can't believe it's US that this is happening to !!!!!)

Hi Susi

Congratulations and welcome!!!!!!!!!!! This is certainly the place to be - lots of worry, worry and more worry!! It's a fantastic feeling though and I wouldn't change all that worry for the world! Do you have a date for your first scan yet? The 2 weeks 'til that will feel longer than the 2ww - hard to beleive but true. As usual though, the time does pass and you do get through it!! :-)

take care of yourself and rest up now!

LOL Helenxx
25 wks with twins

Dear Susi,

Well done on making it across to the other side - it's sooooo exciting!!

However, I'm afraid that the worry never goes! You worry before your first scan, then once that's over, you worry until 12 weeks, then once you've got past that stage, you worry cos you cann't feel anything, have no symptoms, aren't showing etc!! I'm looking forward to my 20 week scan (4 weeks today) - then will I stop worrying? No !!!

Enjoy it though! Good luck for your first scan.

Don't let us put you off - being pregnant is wonderful!

Alison xx

Susi
Well done and congratulations
AS the others have said the worry doesn't stop, I'm 38 weeks today and have only just started to feel calm that not much can go wrong !! sort of fatalistic approach this close to D-day.
Try to enjoy it as much as possible and remember what you've been through to get here.......it's all worth it!!!
Take care and good luck
Terri...one of the Christmas miracle club
xx
