Thanks Jenn and Brandi for replying. Yikes, Brandi!!! I can't believe you have to do two PIO shots per day. I was so afraid of them, that I actually begged my RE to let me do suppositories. Now, I don't want to stop them- HAHA!! They really haven't been that bad, but I am getting some knots on both sides and my DH says I'm bleeding a lot more. My RE told me to do them until 10 weeks. I meet my regular OB next Wed. so I'll ask him, too. I may go on suppositories until 12 weeks, just to be safe!!

hi ladies,

PIO shots are horrible! I am on 1cc PIO, 2 200mg prog supp, 2 estra pills, and baby aspirin. I had my blood taken yesterday and I am waiting for RE nurse to call and let me know if i could quit something. The nurse said i would probably have to do the PIO until 10 weeks.

I had my 2nd u/s yesterday and i couldnt hear the heartbeats but i saw the fluttering on the screen. The checked each twin individually and both were moving and the heartbeats going! I am so excited, and i know i am not out of the "danger zone" yet, but i feel a bit more relaxed and my instincts are telling me everything is going to be okay. I hope i am right!

No spotting yet, but RE mentioned it may happen after 6 weeks. No morning sickness yet....

I am thinking more about having twins, and i dont know how to prepare. i have been looking around and noticed there are not alot of products made for twins. Just strollers. i guess i will figure it out.

I had bruising, red lumps and itching from the PIO shots so my RE switched me to suppositories at week 4 and I have been on them every since. I too was worried if I was going to ruin something and last time I stayed on shots the entire 12 weeks. Don't know how I did it?!? RE mentioned that I must have been having an allergic reaction to the shots and to get off them. Two years ago, the clinic did even offer the suppository option.

So far, so good.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for all your prayers and great vibes, but found out in our ultrasound today, that our babies have not made it. Naturally, we're very sad and are still absorbing the news, but take it as a sign that it is possible. These angels have given us hope that it can happen for us, but unfortunately it just wasn't our time. Thank you all again, take care, and the best of luck with your pregnancies. You're all so deserving...All my best...

i know this is totally off the subject but do any of you have a my space site?

Anyway, I didn't realize so many of you were on the shots still. I had to take them starting the day of the retrieval till the day of my pregnancy test but after that they put me on progesterone pills 3 times a day and gradually dropped me off completely... but then two weeks ago when i had my little scare they put me back on the progesterone pills twice a day. I know that the last several days i took the shots my butt started bruising. I wonder if the large bruising maybe because you went in to far at one of the shots or if its just been to traumatic after all this time. Anyway... i would let your doc know .... maybe they can switch you to another type of supplement.
And what are the baby aspirin for??? ( just because i'm nosy and they never had me take it :) )

Tajma, have they done an ultrasound??? I started bleeding some a couple of weeks ago and they said it was just a hemmorrage or whatever and it just happens... anyway... the reason i'm curious is because a friend of mine who is one week ahead of me did the same thing... she did it around nine weeks, mine was around nine weeks... and so was yours. I'm wondering if this "bleeding in the uterus" is from maybe broken blood vessels where the placenta is taking over????
They didn't give me any reason... i was just curious.
btw... i went in for my weekly scan and the blood is still in my uterus but it hasn't grown since last week!! so thats good news and i've had no more bleeding or spotting. I'm still on bed rest but not complete bedrest... i can get up and walk around for a while or go to mcdonalds and get me a shake! However ... he said i'll probably stay on it for the rest of the pregnancy. I don't care.... i'll do ANYTHING as long as my babies are healthy.
talk to ya later
They showed me today as well how the twins are in the left side and the right side is just kind of flattening out while the left side grows. like i've said before... if women can carry 4, six, and eight in one uterus... surely I can handle two in one half of a uterus!!!!!!!!!

Hello all,

I had my second u/s today. The baby measures 20.9 mm and has a heart rate of 163. We could see its little legs and arms moving around. The u/s tech said it looked like it was doing a little dance. I have been released to my ob and I go there next week. My cysts are still there. Two weeks ago, they only mentioned 3 but today they said there were 6. He did mention that it seems they have shrunk a little and it may take about 6 more weeks. He doesn't seemed worried about it, so I won't either. I feel a little relieved because I have not felt pregnant, whatever that is suppose to feel like. I have had no nausea/vomiting or no spotting/cramping, I have been tired, breasts slightly tender and lower back pain (but I get the back pain a lot anyway).
Does anyone know what they will do at the first ob appointment?
I hope everyone else is doing well. The board has been quiet the last few days.

Kerri- I go for my first "regular pregnant girl" checkup tomorrow with my ob. He's a great doctor, but I will miss all the TLC I got from the RE. I don't know if he'll do an u/s or not, but am hoping for one, or at least hopefully we can hear the heartbeat on doppler. Did y'all know you can rent dopplers for home use? I'm thinking about it. There are several different companies that rent them. Has anyone rented one?
