Jo

No you are not going mad - I woke up one day and had just gone - around 10 weeks then came back up to 12 and then nothing - just went and I thought - oh my god no syptmoms I am no longer pg. As my boobs had stopped hurting too apart from tingly nipples. i tried to make myself seem sick and then thought make the most of it. I am fine now and presuming all ok inside as uterus has moved up etc!
These symptoms can just go - enjoy!
Love
Tracey
xxx

Hi JO,

Try not to worry too much - i was the same. Suddenly i was feeling much better (although i was lucky enough to have mostly nausea and not too much sickness!). It just disappeared leaving me in a bit of a flap - like Tracey, i thought it was all over. Every now and then i get a little bit but mostly i feel ok.

Take care - hopefully your worst bit is over,
Lizzy xxx

Thanks everyone. Stupidly I've been reading about miscarriage where there's no bleeding but just a feeling of not being pg any more and now I've really scared myself. I'm really worried cos I feel as if something has "switched off".

I have read what you say and it has comforted me but oh, God the thoughts of it going wrong are just too hard to take. I have a scan on friday at 10am so not too long to wait although I feel like calling them to see if I can go today.

Went to see the doc last night (to get more pessaries) and he scared me a bit saying practically "don't count your chickens, don't get too excited" kind of stuff.

Don't know what to do with myself at the mo. Once you plant that little seed of doubt in your own head it drives you frantic.

Breathe in through the nose, out through the mouth and repeat - it's the only thing I can think of.

Lots of love to you all. Hi Jo

Hope you're not worrying too much, im sure your baby is fine. I've had the same worries of thinking that just because I haven't bled doesn't mean all is well, and constantly prodding my boobs to make sure they're still agony!

I bet you're just one of the lucky one's who's getting off lightly!!!!

Good luck tomorrow, have an early night and look forward to seeing your little one on screen!!

LOL

Rachel
x

Hi Jo

We all worry about our pregnancy and I don't think the worry will ever stop. I have been getting horrible sickness would you believe I went a week without any but bang wallop got it again now and I am 16 weeks not sure if it is something to do with the heat to be honest because its been horrible.

I hope all goes well with your scan tomorrow, please make sure you let us know.

Tracey you said about your uterus moving up, how can you tell? is this a stupid question or what?

I can feel my belly button coming out I used to be able to put my finger in and now it won't go in (sorry had to tell you LOL) so I know something is going on.

I have to go to midwife tomorrow for my AFP test but we have decided not to have it because at the end of the day I couldn't terminate so I am just going to carry on. If it come back high risk I would just worry myself sick. Hoping all is ok I am 28 years old but who knows!!

Love
Shell.
16wks pg
xx

Thanks so much for replying - when you're worrying it means such a lot. Can't wait for my scan tomorrow - tried to move it forward but all they'd give me was a slightly earlier time of 8:30 - better anyway for both of us getting to work.

That few seconds before the nurse says (hopefully) that all is OK will seem like a lifetime of course but I'm trying to be calm. Just wish today would go quickly.

Shell - glad to hear from you cos I know you were worried b4 about pains, etc. Everything's fine right?? sorry you've had yet more sickness - just when you thought it had passed!! Like you say, the heat only makes it worse.

Wishing you all a lovely day - I'll post about my scan tomorrow - keep it all crossed.

Jo.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

jo

didn't get on here all day yesterday - too much work. good luck with scan - i still wake up a night hoping my nipples are still sore - how sad is my life. I know what you mean about m/c - my friend in the village has just buried hers at 32 weeks - she waited 5 yrs for this one after 6 m/c's - the cord strangled the baby so I have moved to that now!
Re the uterus (if you are moving Shell ) the doc felt me as I had to go to hospital because of my colitis at 14 weeks and he felt around to check for colitis inflammation and said the uterus was the right size etc for my dates??!! I felt it move up as around 12 weeks and up to that was feeling things pressing down on my pelvis and going to the loo a lot as bladder was being pressed - then bingo it moved up - and I can drink loads more without getting up all night long - just the once normally now in the night. the stretchy pains are now either side of my uterus like someone pulling me - by the end of the day I feel quite stretched! If you press around your abdomen you can feel a hard bit - I presume this is where my uterus is - on the other hand you know how mad I am - probably me talking a load of old B*****s!
Take care all
Love
Tracey
xxxxxxxx

Tracey you make me laugh - especially cos I spend most of my time prodding my boobs and hoping for sickness too - how sad are we!!! I even drive over road-humps faster on my way home from work just to make sure my boobs hurt when I land on the other side (haven't got a 4X4 either!!) - I smile to myself even as I'm doing this MAD THING!!!!!!!!

Couldn't get through this without you mad lot!

Jo.XXXXX

Jo
The worrying is hell but try to read more positive things rather than what can go wrong.
I'm now 38 weeks but can remember prodding my boobs every 5 minutes in the early weeks to make sure they still hurt and the day I decided that they diddn't and I didn't feel particularly sick anymore then I went into free-fall. I booked myself an emergency scan and decided everything had gone wrong and belive me I knew what I was talking about after having 2 previous mC's. NO-ONE could tell me to calm down I'd decided that I'd already started MC number 3. I was inconsolable
Of course went for the scan and everything was perfectly OK and about 30 minutes after scan the boobs started hurting again and the sickness came back...almost like it was taunting me.
I know it sounds glib but as someone said to me worrying about it won't change the outcome.
I'm sure you'll be fine, the body is a mighty strange thing and loves to confuse us.
Good luck
Terri
xxxx
