yahooo Lisa!!!!!!! So excited for ya!!!

I have a little update! Planning on doing IUI. July 13th had my 1st consult. I had to wait til Aug to get my physical done so we could get it under the insurance radar. It was my 1st cycle off BC. Meanwhile I was peeing on sticks like mad and found out I ovulated 1st cycle on CD 21...ugh gonna be a 35 day cycle!!! Hopefully shorter the next month, but time will tell! So on CD 26 I had my anual pap (part of the required testing in my fertility program). All was well. That was Thursday this week. Friday had a little spotting...ok not like that hasn't happened before, and especially b/c it was the first time this doc has ever done a pap for me, I wasn't used to her. Granted I didn't think she was as rough as some I'd had. Sooo, like I said just a tad of spotting on Friday. I went out with friends Friday night, because this is hopefully the last cycle that I CAN go out and whoop it up with em :D :D :D So I get home at 4am..yeh I know, bad future mommy!!! and FULL ON AF!!! WTF! It is only CD 27!!! Here I expect a 35 day cycle and WHAM!!! Only 5 days of luteal phase....yeh I KNOW NOT GOOD!

My questions, do you think since my body was all whacked out from birth control that the exam brought AF on? Should I call her Monday and let her know...well I need to cuz I am supposed to call on CD 1 and notify them of my impending IUI. But should I talk to her about the very short luteal phase? Would you think that would be cause to use some progesterone after the IUI to help my uterus out to sustain a fertilized egg? UGH! Sorry just a little freakin out.

Hi Girls

Hope you are all good. I'm a bit miffed because for some reason I didn't get notifications of new posts! :( Anyway, glad I logged in to check because here you are LisaPA with your BFP, how fantastic I am so pleased for you.

Also brilliant news for you too ICSI girl, good luck for the big day tomorrow.

Update from me:-

Day 2 of stimulating. Going really well actually although I feel really tired. I do fret a bit before the injection but afterwards I wonder why I was worried it's not that bad really. My action scan is due on Friday 17th August, if things are looking good EC will be Monday 20th but they say 50% patients need a second scan before EC date can be determined, in which case It would be on Thursday 23rd / Friday 24th instead. Feels like things are really moving now and I'm getting so excited.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Hello all!!! :P

Well, my first baseline U/S went well this morning. Of course I was nervous last night, couldn't sleep, tossed and turned, thinking today I was going to go in there and they were going to say "Mrs. Lewis, I'm sorry but we don't see any follicles at all." But fortunately, my LUCKY # at this stage is 15 follicles. 9 on the left and 6 on the right ovaries. I was amazed and happy! They are calling later this afternoon with blood test results and I start the Bravelle tonight. The Lupron was becoming such a cinch I am nervous about starting something new... Hopefully it will be fine.

Everyone in the 2ww stage, Best of Luck and I can't wait to hear about your BFPs!!!! I am crossing my fingers and keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay positive, busy, and don't worry too much about symptoms. As much as I've read, it's different with each person!! You can't tell if it's the meds giving you symptoms or not, even if you have any, and some with BFPs have symptoms and other's don't have any and still have BFPs. So relax! enjoy! stay busy! and I'm thrilled for each and every one of you!! :D :D :D

For all of those still stimming like me and waiting for the 2ww, hang in there! Stay strong and keep up the PMA!! You guys are all so great and I love this forum!

Talk to you all soon! Julianna

hi everyone...just a quick note as I need to run off to work...yuck work!

looks like I won't be able to try IUI this cycle after all. last one was quite cooky (1st one of birth control though). I had a dip in temp at day 14, no postivie pee stick and then temps stayed in the same range as normal. day 21 i am almost positive i got my positive on my pee stick, day 22 as well...day 23 my temps started rising. That is what me and my doc pinpoint as my O day...on my practice cycle! So we figured on a 35 day cycle that time then hoping my body regulates more this next cycle to be shorter....welllll day 28 I got AF! That would make luteal phase just barely 4-5 days! Not good. So I called the doc this morn (Monday) and was told I should wait out this cycle and see what happens since I was just off bc...NOOOOOOO! Damn!!! I wanted to give myself 3 tries (if needed) until Oct. cuz I want to wait if no luck after that til June/July next year...that is when I can change jobs for the better. So damn now I am down to hopefully 2 tries...decreasing my odds yet again! GRRRRRR It just sucks

First of all - ICSI girl... (whenever you get a chance to read this) wish you loads of luck, good health and a BFP on its way!

Pequale - Have you talked to your doc about possibly doing a Lupron (or similar) protocol to suppress ovulation and then use HCG to induce ovulation on a specific day? I did this, along with Clomid to stimulate follicle development. It didn't work for me because I was one of the rare folks that Clomid thins the uterine lining in... but it may be right for you, especially since it would take all the guessing out of the cycle.

The caveat is - cost. The natural cycle IUI would naturally be cheaper...fert. drug costs add up if insurance doesn't cover it.
TTC - 4 yrs; "Unexplianed infertility"
Me- 32; DH- 37
IUI - 9/06 - BFN (clomid thinned uterine lining)
1st IVF -3/07- Poor response- IUI instead- BFN
2nd IVF w/ICSI- 7/07 -- beta:8/3/07 - BFN
3rd IVF - Nov 2007???

Glad to hear all went well ICSI girl, now don’t be naughty and get some rest. We will be here when you get back hun.

Hi Chriss and wishfull27, nice to have you at the same stage. Do you know when your 1st scan to check the follies will be? I’m so excited mine is this Friday, can’t wait. How are you both coping, any symptoms?

Hi to everyone else, hope your all good.

Hi everyone

Chelle and wishful, We are very close in our cycles. I don't think I have good news. This is my first IVF and I am just learning, but when I see everyone's follicle counts I get real nervous for myself. I've been on stims since thursday and I went in for sono today. There are two follices that are size 10 and two or three little ones. That does not sound so good. I guess my age really is a big factor here. I am 40. I don't know if the little ones will catch up. I know that it only takes one, but I'm feeling blue. This really is a roller coaster ride. I go back in on Wednesday. I guess I'll find out more. Good luck to you guys and everyone else too. Chriss

P.S. I am not getting reply notifications some of the time. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey there everyone,

We just got back from a lovely trip to Canada to see my parents. If you want to see my blog it is www.yarnista.blogspot.com. DH fell asleep when we were supposed to do my lupron so I gathered up my courage and did it meself! I did it a little too fast though I think.
I start follistim this Friday. Now when to tell the ol' principal that I just might be missing the very first day of school oh and did I mention my supervisor just emailed me and said he has yet to find me a co teacher. So I could be returning after ET to 80 kids by myself, that's just lovely for the 2 ww isn't it. I have to try and not stress about it because there's nothing I can do about it.

chriss: Try not to get too blue about everything, I know it is such an
emotional thing to go through. When my IVF failed in March it was
rough. I hope your follies grow and you start feeling better.

Icsi girl : Hope your 2WW goes by quick and you have a great BFP!

julianna26: Glad to hear your u/s went well, don't be nervous about the
other meds, you'll do fine.
