TansRN - good luck with finding out the gender on your u/s!

I think I felt one of the first "flutters" this morning. DH got home from work (he works nights) and he reached down to touch my belly and I felt like the babe did a flip..... that's a wild but wonderful feeling........

jenn - i think it's great if you can wait to find out what you are having. but, I can't wait. :) I like to be organized and have everything ready for when I bring him/her home. At this moment, I feel like it's a girl. Hopefully, I'll find out her in a couple of weeks.....

Rikirees - thinking of you, hope you are doing well...

Hi Everyone,

It's been a long time since I've been on. I'm still here and doing well. I finally got my insulin pump and I can't believe I waited this long to get it. It is so much easier to control my diabetes. I don't have the highs or lows like I use to. I had an amino last week. My NT scan and 2nd blood work all came back fine. My risk for downs was 1:175, which is in normal range for my age (37) but since I have diabetes my Dr. highly recommended it. At first I didn't want to but I said I'll go ahead and get it done so I can rest and enjoy the rest of my pregnancy. I got so nervous when the Dr. was getting ready to start I almost stopped her and said I changed my mind. It did hurt for less than a min. but afterwards there was no pain. I'm glad it's over, now I'm just enjoying my pregnancy. We did find out the sex....IT'S A GIRL! another girl. I have 9yr old twin girls already. My husband really have to get a boy dog now. I'm happy. I just want her to be healthy.

Rikirees, I'm so sorry to read everything you've been going through. I pray that your little one is strong enough to hang in there to the end. You all have definitely been through more than enough.

I'm glad to see everyone is doing well. I can't believe I'm almost 20 weeks. Time is going by fast now, ladies.

I promise to do better at keeping in touch.

Take care

Mattie

Lisa- 20 weeks already...GL with the level II, are you finding out gender?
TansRN- GL on U/S today! Your day has finally come.
Jovigal- the flipping is wild isn't it???? Yesterday mini would not sit still, almost made me nervous...stopped around 3pm
Malinka- How are you feeling....still having the pressure??

I went to DR yesterday, heard HB, slowed a little, I know it's normal but still makes you nervous! Next is on 9-7 for level II, oh joy!

noodle, question, is the level II u/s part of the quad screen that is done or is this a routine u/s? I'm just curious because I've opted against the quad screen but would still like the u/s done.

No we decided not to find out as nothing has been a surprise. We knew the day they were put back, the day we were pregnant, I mean we didn't even have sex to have this baby. LOL. So we will wait. I just have to remind the Tech not to say anything. I am actually at a specialist now, so I am getting great sonograms.
Talk to you all on Friday.
Peace & Love

hey girls how is everyone doing?

mdterry, wow, so exciting, 3 girls!

noodle, you hear the flipping already, how exciting, I still dont know what I am hearing most of the time. One time I think I feel them move, but next I am not sure... I have nothing to compare with, everybody is describing moves differently lol

I feel the pressure ocassionally, but now two nights in a row, I am getting this weird dull pain in my back, not lower back, but upper back, right around the spine, I wonder what the heck it is . It kind of disappears in morning. I called my doctor yesterday, he said it is fine, get some tylenol or heating pat, heating pat??? that was weird. Anyways, that's my update.

Jovigal- I have no ide, they just called it the 1st trimester screen and Level 2 screen...that's it no quad anything...I wish doctors could all use the same terms.

Lisa- I wish we weren't finding out.....good luck with the relatives giving you a hard time about not finding out...my DH couldn't take the pressure

Malinka- for the most part any movement I feel in the area I attribute to my mini "wild thing". But it was funny yesterday at the DR, the nurse put the gel on my left side for doppler and I said no mini is on the right today and I was right...so I must be feeling the right thing.

Rikirees- any updates? Hopr you're hanging in there.

I copied and pasted from my bog so I wouldnt have to type it all again!!!

Its a boy and a girl!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!! One of each!!!!

The appointment went well. Both babies are measuring about a week ahead of schedule in growth. They measured 17W1D and I was 16W 3D yesterday when it was done. I had the good u/s lady and I asked her when she worked. I like her alot. I had my cultures done. Woo Hoo. Big fun there. The doctor I saw this time was really nice though and so far he is my choice for the C-section doc. I asked about photos in the delievery and he said just a couple. That is great because I want to see my babies after they pull them out! I have an appointment with the perinatologist in 2 weeks for my anatomy scan. I of course will have her double check the vital parts!!!! I am measuring 24 weeks. He said that it was normal to measure about 8-10 weeks ahead of schedule. Everything is still looking good. I am so happy about this. Really happy! What a wonderful blessing.

Mdterry
Yeah you are having a girl! That is so exciting! It seems as the days go on they go faster and faster. I am glad that things are going smooth for you and you can sit back and relax a little now.

Lisa
I love my doppler as well. I like to listen just to make sure everything is going well. It is the best thing I ever got!!!

Noodle
Yes things are looking good. I was so excited to get in there to see what those little buggers were. I am so happy. I really am thrilled by it all.

Oh my gosh Tanya- congrats!!! A boy and a girl!! So fun to have one of each! I'm so happy for you!

Noodle and Jovigal- you are already feeling your babies move around? I can't wait for that. I'm so jealous!! I hope I will feel mine that early! I'm not showing yet (just feeling fat!) are you all in maternity clothes?

Lisa- we are not finding out the sex either. We felt the same way- no surprises in the conception area, so I wanted something to be a surprise! Gotta have something to push for! Good luck! Our families and friends are going crazy. They REALLY want us to find out, they think I'll cave at the U/S and ask what it is. Which just makes me more stubborn and determined to stick to my plan!

Well, we picked out a paint color and bedding for the nursery. Anyone else picked theirs yet? I know it is early, but we are usually very busy in the fall so I wanted to get a jump on it. Since we are not finding out the sex, I didn't have to wait until the 20 week U/S, so I went for it!

Ok- time to make dinner. Later!
Jenn

Hi Ladies,

Rikirees - my heart goes out to you. I am really hoping we'll hear from you soon with good news.

I have been away on and off all summer. I am a teacher and have the summers off. It's been very nice. I was just with my in-laws and get along well with them, but my mother-in-law was giving me so much unsolicited "input" I could have screamed. I'm happy to be back to our coast, 6 hours away. She couldn't believe we weren't doing this naturally (i haven't even thought about our birth plan yet), she said her mother didn't even like her name that we were going to honor her with for the middle name, why can't i eat swordfish? why can't I eat turkey, etc.... It was non-stop.

Anyway, we are not finding out the sex - SO FAR - but it's written in a manilla envelope on my husband's desk at work. It's kind of driving us crazy, but only b/c the info. is at our fingertips.

I think sometimes I might feel something, but at my point I would think it would be everyday, no?

Tanya- very good news---congrats!
Jenn- I have been in maternity for a while, some of my stretchy stuff (reg) I still wear, but I was so uncomfortable in my reg clothes and already had maternity from prior preg also wore maternity during IVF cycles because I bloated up soooooo much. I also picked bedding out and we have been actively searching for furniture, I got this fantastice "barn animals" set from baby universe for a very good price and great quality, pleased. Inially we were not going to find out, then DH talked to his mom and suddenly changed his mom...I don't mind so now we are finding out, GL with the peer pressure.
wannabeone- where did you visit, I was born and raised in Washington State and live in NJ now, it's hard to be away from home. I'm totally with you on the "why can't you eat this or that" drives me nuts...people don't know what we went through to finally get preg and really don't want to eff it up now. But it drives me crazy also.
Malinka-Anything new?

Nothing with us...met with a Life Insurance agent last night, very depressing and EXPENSIVE..anyone have any input?
