Amy- SH**. I really had my fingers crossed for you. What a great attitude you are already having though. My heart does go out for you. Gosh, I can't believe you are already looking forward to the next one.

Oh Bloody hell, sorry I dropped the ball again Amy, am at home with the flu (no internet) am at my mum's house now and using her facilities...

So sorry to hear about the BFN. As usual I can't seem to express myself without swearig so here goes F*ckity f*ck Bollocks.

I know after I got my BFN i wanted to get straight back into it. I got my BFN official around Xmas Eve last year. I had my FET transfer on 12 February this year. I did a stim FET and it took a while to get to transfer so the wait could well be less for you...

As far as your holiday game goes, I like it but I would have a hard time narrowing it down. I would love to go back to Africa (where I am from originally but too unsafe at the moment...) there's no place like it.

Hope all the other ladies are going OK.

Am off back to bed for now.

Fee - Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. That is no good when there are so few things you can take with little nogs on board. Hope the flu passes quickly. As for the vacation - you can go anywhere as in my game it is safe so Africa it is. (One of the nurses at my clinic is from South Africa and she has the most amazing accent... and the longest dutch name)

Thanks Robbo - the swearing helps a bit. I am now a bit more rested and have decided that I am not jumping right back on the pills, but going to get a few more opinions and potentially be a brat and pack up my cryogenically frozen "balls" and go home. I want to see if other clinics would do something different, because obviously this way isn't working - so i will look for a more proactive approach before wasting the final 7.

As for me, I would love to go back to the coast of Spain.. There is an amazing town we spent a few days in back in college and I have never been able to forget the beauty and tranquility I felt while there... cobblestone streets and beautiful water.

Amy. I'm so fricking sorry. BFNs are the most evil thing ever. It sounds like you've got a good plan for next time.

I don't know where I'd go. Definitely somewhere tropical. I'm a lay on the beach and do nothing kind of gal. Bora Bora maybe? We talked about going there on our honeymoon but could only afford the Virgin Islands. I've also always wanted to go to Greece for some reason. Hmm....

Fee--Hope you're feeling better soon!

Sorry for your news Amy. That sucks. You sound like you are making good plans though. It took me 7 months to cycle again. I was chicken! I agree , if you don't feel like you are getting what you need from your clinic. Pack up your balls and move on. We put way too much time and $$ and emotions into these cycles to feel like our clinic could have done something different.

I know I've been MIA, wanted to give Amy a big big HUG!!!!, why do we have to go through all of this???, I just hate it!!!!!!! I wish you the best for your next try!!!!
As you guys know, I am on an IVF break right now, but when I mentioned that to my RE he said, that since, of course, I would keep trying naturally in the meanwhile, then he would like to "boost" it with some Clomid. So that is what I am doing now, using Clomid, sounds weird, after doing 3 IVF's now doing Clomid sound foolish, but at least is better than nothing I guess..........

Sorry there are no personals, I am super dooper busy at work right now!!!!

Hi girls!!

Vicky: who knows... a little boost from clomid can't hurt! Hope they aren't working you to death.

Amy: I think you asked about how much time inbetween cycles we had... I did four back to back. I don't think I would recommend that many in a row. At the time I was happy doing it... but I probably should have taken a break after 3. Hope you are well.

Fee: Hope nogs is well and you are kicking that flu.

Not good news on the mega-cycle front. BW done today and E2 was in the toilet. No really... in the toilet. I have never had an E2 so low. Disappointing considering how healthy and positive I have been feeling. Anyway... have I told you how much I love my RE? Probably... but let me tell you again. He calls me frequently with updates during cycles and always seems to have time to answer my questions. Today he called right after I found out about my E2. On a Saturday... during his vacation with his family. We talked about the plan (oh, and how I love having a plan!). US and repeat bw on Mon... if still not looking good the cycle will be canceled.

Strangely not too upset (after the initial tears--- d*mn hormones). I was planning on cycling again next month anyway. But most likely the reason I am not upset is that I went and picked up my fave lunch, and bought 1.5 lb of Godiva chocolates. I decided I will have one each time I do an injection. Then if the cycle gets canceled, the whole box will be fair game

Have a good weekend everyone!

Thanks for the support girls. I appreciate it.

Vicky - I don't think clomid is silly. I think you could be like miracle meg and get pregnant the ol fashion way. Crazier things have happened! To you I dedicate "Lets get it on.." to start the festivities.

Sass - How are you doing with the meds? Still getting the rush from the needles? It is an addiction!

Jenn - Are you starting to show? Have you been finding any cute maternity wear? I think around 16 weeks was when I discovered paneled pants and fell in love. Eat all you like. They expand.

Meg - How are you feeling? Sexy huh? You don't have too much longer and I can't wait to hear all about the nursery. Is it getting completed?

As for me, I am on a rant to find out about everyones protocol during their cycles. If you ladies have a second, I would love to know what drug regimen and blood tests you have done during your cycles. (Preferably FETs as I am not doing another fresh) I am prepping myself as Mr Sassy does for a court case so when I meet with my RE I am prepared to ask some pointed questions.

Thanks for the help!

Where are the other girls??

Amy--I can't really help you on protocal as I didn't have a fet. I am all for jumping back into the swing of things--I know I didn't want to take any time off after I got my bfn.
The nursery is all done. It does look pretty damned cute, if I say so myself. I really lucked out and am not having to buy much myself. We bought the furniture, but pretty much everything else was given to me. Except I need to buy diapers. That's the only thing I know of that I still need. Heck, but what do I know. I don't know nothing about birthing no babies!

Sassy--I'm hoping your E2 levels straighten up. And your RE does sound like he rocks. That's so important. Come on mega-cycle. Come on mega-cycle. I feel good about it since it has my name in the title! And thanks for mentioning the chocolate. Now I have to go buy some. I'm horrible anymore. If I hear a food, I feel the need to eat it immeadiately.

Vicki--Clomid, eh? Well, I'm a believer. Are you having fun trying the old fashioned way?

Fee-I don't think I told you congrats on passing the diabetes test. That's a relief, eh? Hope you're feeling better.

I'm hanging in there. The weather here has been gross--100+ degree heat index for the last week. And no end in site. It's just not doing it for me, you know!?!
My next doctor's appt is not until next Monday--I have to have a swab of my girl parts  and my rectum done to check for some bacteria. They'll also check my cervix while they're down there. So, it's a bikini wax for me this week! Oh joy.

Hello! Am back from my sick bed and am feeling much better, so thanks for your good wishes...

Sass sorry to hear your E2 levels are messing you about. I give them the big two finger sign from Oz. It just amazes me how no two cycles are alike. That sucks big time. You sound like you have a fantastic RE though, to be calling you on your holidays. He's a keeper for sure.

Mego sorry to hear that you will be exposed down there again. I for one have enjoyed the lack of interest in my nether regions since getting preg. Needless to say nothing has been waxed in quite some time. I cancelled my last beautician's appointment some months ago. Sorry to hear that you will have to tart yourself up for those swabs, but still I'm proud of you for making the effort. A+ for that one. Thanks for the congrats on the diabetes test. I am piling into some chocolate as we speak, mmmm.

Amy, you are the Erin Brokovich of IVF, good one for investigating your options. I found that the Frozen Embroy Transfer article on this site not too bad. I did a stimulated cycle. I think the aim was for me to produce one egg (by stimulating me just a little). I don't ovulate naturally so I needed the stims. There was no down-regging (as no actual need to prevent ovulation) so the only drug I took was Puregon (stim). At first I was on 25iui but was producing a less than stellar response to that so went up to 50iui. Can't recall how long I was on stims for but it may have been about two weeks or so. I had bloods taken from time to time and when they reached the level that it looked like I was on the cusp of producing an egg, I was invited in for a date with dildo cam. Dildo advised that my lining was beautiful by that stage so I was given trigger drug (HCG). I triggered and then had ET some days later. During the 2ww I was given three further trigger shots to be taken at various intervals. I think that they were to trick my body into thinking it was pregnant and accordingly produce the right hormones. After 2ww and BFP I started on prog pessiaries as my prog levels were a tad low....and the rest is history. I don't think my protocol is widely used in the US but it worked for me!

Vicky, great news on the Clomid thingo. I'm all for throwing everything thing at the IF problems. I hope it totally rocks for you. It sure sounds a lot more fun than IVF. Don't work too hard. If needs be we will get A-G onto your employer and A-G is nice and pissed off at the moment....

Jenn good to hear from you, how are you going???Details, we want details. And I second the shout out for Mel, and Patie and Wanna (where the hell are you?). Coco and Nickster are probably off on some top secret mission somewhere so I'll leave them be.

Hi all.

Fee: glad to hear you are "up and at 'em" as my dad always says. I appreciate the two finger sign from down under (although to be honest... I don't know which two fingers are involved... that could be important info if we do end up in Aussieland!)

Amy: ummm. To be honest, having only done one FET a while ago... i can't remember my protocol. I think I was just on estrogen pills?

Meg: with a heat index that high, I'm thinking you could put that new bikini wax this week to good use. You know... skimpy little bikini that shows off that nice baby belly you've got (just like the celebrities do! )

US was not reassuring this am. will wait for E2 levels and for Dr. D to call. But let's just say I am starting to make fun plans for this weekend...

Since Fee's coworker/partner soap opera has lost a bit of its intrigue... I thought I would do my best to keep you all entertained. We were tipped off yesterday that bil is using dh's identity, and that he possibly bought a car in his name. Sure enough... 2 credit cards were opened over the weekend using our credit and dh's identity. Oh, but that isn't the juicy part. Bil bought a C.adillac E.scalade on Saturday using an ID in dh's name. Yes, you did read that right. It had to be an E.scalade, of course... Because really... a drug-addict-wanted-felon can't have a nice enough ride, now can he?

We put fraud protect back on our credit (since we had to pay for it monthly before, we stopped it when he was in prison a few years ago), and reported the credit cards as fraudulent. Mr Sassy is on his way to the car dealership this am for what is likely to be a heated "discussion". He will be demanding to see the documents used in his name to buy the car... he wants to see and get a copy of the ID bil is using in his name. Although bil has posession of the car, our understanding is that the paperwork hasn't gone through yet, so he will at some point have to return to the dealership in order to get the final papers if he wants to register the car (I'm thinking a fab chance for a police ambush!). Scarier still... we were told that he and his friends have come up with a few scams to do using Mr Sassy's identity, both of which could really cause us problems. And bil commented to tipster that if he gets pulled over by the cops or arrested, he will use dh's identity if possible, to avoid being thrown back in prison. Drama, drama, drama.

And the beat goes on...

Sass - First and foremost I am sorry I last posted on top of you and didn't see your post RE mega cycle. I wish I could help you out. That is the only part of the cycle that I have been successful at so if you want my embies - I will give them to you. What I can warn you about is that they don't do much from there. Maybe if we team up - I make the follicles and you can carry them - it might just work. I am willing to work together on this to make it happen. I wish I could help you in some way!
As for you BIL... he is a real piece of work. I am thinking a screenplay based on him should be in the works and could easily finance your future of portions of the mega cycle as well as your own mr and mrs escalades.... hopefully with some 22's that spin. I would also love to witness the "talks" that are going on right now at the dealership. I too would be very curious to see how one could buy a 70K car with no real id or down payment. ... and scarier yet, you let the person leave with said car. Only in Vegas I am sure.

Fee - glad to hear the chocolates are being put to good use. no shame in not taking advantage of your healthy diagnosis. Maybe your secretary could come to the states and meet Sass' BIL and they could get married. That would make for some great entertainment for all of us... starting at the wedding by an Elvis impersonator.
How is nogs doing these days anyhow??

Angie - Are the rellies gone yet? You poor thing. All that entertaining and cleaning - not relaxing. We need you in tip top shape for the upcoming appointment. Don't let the rellies throw you off your A game.

Jenn - How are you feeling? Is the heat getting to you also?? Are you keeping up the bikini waxes?

Meg - That whole procedure sounds quite invasive. I am going to say I don;t remember that one and maybe because my mind is blocking it out. Can't hurt to have the area all cleaned up and ready for checkout. It won't be long before you have everyone and their mothers up in there checking things out so time to do some Fall sprucing up. Has it cooled down yet?

Vicky? Patie? Wanna? Nickster? Coco? Mel? Our list is growing! Where are the girls at?

ps.. thank you for the updates on your protocols. I definitely have done enough recon this weekend to strike back with a clear offensive.

Thank you girls for the encouragement you send me for the Clomid cycle, it should be fun!!!!

Amy.....about the FET cycle, when I had it what I did was the following, I was on BCP's for a month, started Lupron on the 3rd week of BCP's. Thenk AF came, and then I started with estrogen patches every other day, continued with the lupron. I believe it was a couple of days before ET I also started with PIO shots and I continued them until PG test. I don't remember much more details than that I think.......

Sassy....OMG that BIL of yours is one of a kind!!!!!!!!!!! (hopefully  ). I am sorry about your E2, are they checking it again or are they cancelling?, I am sorry, I didn't get that part right......Whichever the case might be, good luck!!!!!

Fee......I am happy that you are feeling better, I guess the chocolate is the best remedy for everything

Meg.....good luck with your bikini wax!!!!!, your next doctor's appt. seems very exciting :? :? ..........

Mel....where the heck are you?????????, come back or we are sending the dogs out to look for ya!!!!!

Next Thursday I start the ovulation kit, so let the fun begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well ladies... In the immortal words of Yoda... Canceled, I am. That's ok. I REALLY wanted to do 7 fresh instead of just 6  (6 cycles is for wussies  ). Will start #6 next month. For now... there will be a blood bath of Godiva chocolate at the Sassy household tonight... maybe with some non-barrier-protection lovin' going on. Actually I am doing fine with it. Not as upset as I thought I would be in this situation. It just postpones everything a month or so.

As for evil bil... he has a driver's license in dh's name (same # and everything). Dh got a copy of it. The police are involved, he had to give a statement, and they are going to try to arrest bil since he is supposed to return to the dealership later today. Either way, the car is listed as stolen. What a pain. Dh has spent all day just getting this car thing worked out.

Banner day in the Sassy household.
