We went to councelling today. It went fine she just asked us a few questions about how we felt using a donor. I didn't have that many questions as I had read up a lot about it. So I'm off to get the ultrasound done on the 21st and then it's all go.

Hello fellow Aussies,
My name is Dexter and I was wonderin' if any of you are going thru IVF at Sydney IVF? I was previously at IVF AUSTRALIA but after some superficial research about the culture mediums used in the labs, decided upon changing clinics. It's costing 3 x more and the major differences are they use LUCRIN injections to down reg instead of Synarel, and the stimms are PUREGON instead of Gonal F. I was also put on the OCP for 2 weeks before starting Lucrin. I actually responded really well on the synarel and gonal F previously, so hoping the new drugs are also successful. No probs so far and I start stimming (double injections agh!) on Friday. I'm really hoping this new clinic will bring us luck! We've had a rough trot this past year and I've just found out my Dad is ill. I need some good news about now.
Anyways, would be good to hear from anyone! My doc is Dr Mark Livingstone and he was recommended to me from chinese herbalist LILY LIU. I'm off the herbs and acu at the mo...Just didn't want the extra stress of it all and pump my body with any more stuff!

i hope u all are fine....as i am new to this aussie section....i am trying to learn what everyone is doing...like now i am know tiger has done et and ec.....i hope everyone will type bit about the treatment.....so that i can understand.....my 2 week wait is finish...they have asked me to stop take progestron n i am bit concerned if that is right or wrong.....my test is on 20th.....if anyone knows something about stoping progestrone after 2 weeks ..pls let me know ...cos everyone on the site took it for 3 months atleast.....i called nurse today as i had ohss symtoms...she said drink lots of water and doc will call u....n no call....its annoying.....its just procedure for them but they dont know how hard its for us....sometimes i feel like taking home preg test or going to gp for blood test tomorrow....then i feel i should wait till monday...but as i have stopped progestrone...i hope it wont be late till monday

I wish you very best of luck for your cycle. You're staring double pricks tonight (heh-he my friends tell me I am v.rude... am I?) I did that for my current cycle but I was on GonalF not Puregon. Is your DH doing them for you? I did lucrin on my own but when it came to do them both I gave up doing them myself. It was much easier that way for me too…. I am so sorry that your dad’s not well btw… I really he gets better very soon. I am sure your BFP news at end of your current cycle will cheer him up. Good luck!
Mina, is it possible to ask your clinic about trying home pregnancy test just to be sure? I know you are worried about progestrone, I hope you will call them back again so that they can clarify it for you. You must remember that we are all different and they do things differently for each patient so.. yea….. anyhow you have only 5 days to go matey, Hang in there strong!! I know it is difficult to keep up with other people’s attempts and progress at IVF, I tend to look at each person’s profile for their history… Take care girl.

So yes, I have two little embies in my tummy now. They said one of them was doing really well! They should now be warm and cosy inside of me and I hope that they will find nice comfy corner in my womb to make themselves home for next 9 months…………! It is a shame that my other 7 eggs did not eventuate to become viable embies but I am thankful for these two. At least now I know that drugs work – all I need next time (hope not) is fresh sample from my hubby – not sleepy frozen ones he-heh.

hi tiger,
i talk to nurse today and she told me to just rest and come on monday.....i had bad symptoms of ohss last two days and i felt too sick....first they said they will call me to do blood test...then they said if u feeling better do it on monday.....i asked for home preg test...but they did not give me accurate idea.....but she did said ...that hcg should be out of ur system now.........i have bought a preg test but too scared to do it.....its still lying in the bathroom... my main concern is about their stoping progetrone.......n they still said yeah u dont need to take them ...it wont effect....i think they will check my progestrone on monday....but i hope its not too late to check....gosh i never realized it would be so mysterious.....more i read things more i get scared....fingers crossed for monday......now u two week wait has started too...trust me first week will go ok ...but second week drives nuts......what is ur date for test????

Not sure if you guys will remember me, I've been really absent of late. I've had quite bad PND and have been quite unwell. I always check up on you girls though, I just don't get to post terribly frequently. I am STOKEd though to see that Tiger has had two embies transferred, that's such wonderful news my friend. I have a really good feeling about this!!..Will mean that your bub (bubbies?) will be due in about June next year is that right?? I'll be checking up on you!

Miss Molly I think I have read about your story before - unbelievable! Same clinic and doc and BFP. I am feeling quietly confident and not half as obsessed by it all as last attempt. Give me time
So glad to hear everyone's stories. Good luck Mina with your test. I don't think it's a bad thing to do a HPT if you're close to your test date as long as you can deal with the emotional impact of perhaps a false negative if it's too early?? You just never know though! I've read so many horror stories about HPTs but they've always been accurate for me, esp the low sensitive ones.

It's a piece of cake. I think once you've done a round of IVF, they don't phase me anymore. Not looking fwd to the up and coming dildoprobes though. Sorry if that offends :-/ Trying really hard to stay off the wine while stimming but I read somewhere that the occassional glass of red can reduce stress and aid the process. I'm stickin with that for now. Ha!
I'll post more next week when the seeds start growing and we see what's happening. I'm praying for a blastocyst transfer this time around. Last time I had a modest amount of follies but got 15 eggs - only 3 viable embryos out of that lot so they did day 3 transfer and I never got to see if the embies would have developed any further. We froze 2 but they didn't thaw too successfully so I'm going to ask for 2 to be put back this time. My Doc said we can discuss it closer to transfer time. Only 10 days to go if things go well before E/C.
PS - My Dad is out of the woods. His cancer diagnosis was a MIS DIAGNOSIS!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like we have already won the lottery and I feel so much calmer.
