Sept/Oct. Cycle Buddies

Hello to All,

I'm new to the board and would like to find cycle buddies for Sept/Oct. My name is Shawn and I live in Maryland. I've experience 2 unexplained failed IVF cycles. I'll begin my BCP this month (Aug.). I'm just waiting on my cycle to begin. My retrieval should be mid September.

I've decided not to share much with my sisters since none of them have any experience in IVF. I would love to have someone to talk to who understands my thoughts, feelings and worries.

I'm Anie,31 from UK. I just had my 1st failed IVF

I will start my next cycle in september so i will be a bit behind you.If you read other threads you might find somebody who's having retrieval same time as you.

I can understand that you don't want to share this with your sisters. ?Many of us feels the same way that's why we come to this forum to share experience,emotions,happiness and pain with somebody who has been in that situation and can understand all the process and all the stress involved in this.

Feel free to ask whatever you want even if you feel that is just a silly stupid question.Nobody will judge you and everybody will be very helpfull.

Could you please give us more information about yourself,like your and dh age.

Are you going for IVF or ICSI next time?

Hi girls! My name is Traci and I am getting ready to start my 2nd ivf cycle in September. I started my b/c this past thursday. My retrieval date will be the weekend of Sept.21st. I had good embryos the last time but did not respond well to the meds and had to double up on them. My RE is planning on changing some of my meds around. We will do icsi on all of my eggs and assisted hatching on some also. He is going to put me on the microdose lupron protocol. He says it is a protocol used for poor responders. We only got 7 eggs last time and 6 of the were mature. 5 of the eggs fertilized and we put 2 in on day 3 transfer. We didnt have any left to freeze so now we are starting the whole process over again. I wish you all luck and BFP's for our future!!!

I am Lacy from Texas ...

Welll .... I got my AF this Friday night about 5:45pm. I was so disappointed ... because OF COURSE I was once again for the millionth time convinced I was pregnant and would not have to go thru the IVF thing, even though my Dr. has said getting pregnant naturally for me would be very hard. TYPICAL of me! Uuuggg - LOL

So my doctor's office told me to call as soon as I start my AF even if it was the weekend, so I called the office and the answering service told me that my Dr. will charge me $25 to page the nurse on call or Dr. and I said heck no! So I called this morning and they said I make the right decision and they would not have charged me for that call. So I start my BCP this evening and should have the retrieval around 09/27/07. I am so excited and nervous to start.

I am having a tough time finding someone I can talk to during this time. My husband (love him to death) is not the best person I can talk to, he just does not understand the way a woman would.

Hello Shawn, Anie, Traci and Lacy!

I am a first timer IVF with ICSI due to male factor. To make a long story short, I started bcp 7/9/07 - 8/9/07 stopped due to miscommunication. Awaiting call from RN when to start again. HSG scheduled for 8/20 and shot class 8/21, hoping for ET around 9/10-15. Unless bcps cannot be started until next month but I am hoping to hop back on...

I am hopefull that everyone will get BFP this time around!!!!!!!

Shawn - Are you doing IVF with ICSI? I know what it feels like, not having sisters to talk to about this - I don't have any ... That is why I am hoping for twins for all!!!!

Hi Everyone~ I hope you don't mind if I join.

I am hoping for an estimated retrieval date of the 17th through the 21st of Sept. I don't know exactly where I belong.

I will be stopping BC on 9/2 and my first U/S and Estradiol draw on 9/4 - then if everything looks OK, will be starting meds on 9/7. They are starting me on 300 of Follistim and 75IU of Menopur.

I am so lost, this is my first IVF cycle. I had 1 E/P, 1 M/C and 1 Chemical PG - all within the last year.

I am praying for 1 to stick.

Hi All

Well i am due to start my second ivf attempt the beginning of September the first time i went though it was 4 years ago and i was married this time i am going through it as a single women and today got my call to say they had found a donor sperm that matched me.

I am 32 live in the UK and have total tubal blockage which is why i have to go through ivf.

So it looks like there will be a few of us in September which is good. I am excited and nervous and scared and all kinds of crazy feelings going through me right now.

Lets spread lots of baby dust in all directions and keep our fingers crosses.

Hi ladies~

Just want to keep our new thread alive.

Well...I got chosen for a 3 week jury trial today. One of my appts for a sono - something or other is scheduled during the trial. So I need to get that rescheduled because I have to have all of my tests completed before my last day of birth control.

I am so excited....I just want to sleep until the time comes. All of my meds have been ordered and I will get them on the 25th. I am still waiting to find out the costs for those.

So it continues to be a waiting game....

How is everyone else???

Yeah i agree, it needs to be kept alive, well i have my nurse appointment on the 3rd of september then AF is due around the 5th and its kick off for me. I can not wait time seems to be dragging i am so excited and scared and nervous.

Your going on a Jury wow i always wanted to do that and it will help the next three weeks pass quickly for you i hope.

Looking at your dates you should be a couple of weeks in front of me i think but its still great we can all be here for each other, This site is fantastic and to read the threads and the BFP's it gives us all huge hope.

Hey Everyone

I am Archana from Ahmedabad, India and hope to make some friends here on this thread. I've been trying on few other threads but I guess my username is bothering...it says sonu911..that's my birthday and month i.e 9th november
and I can't do much abt it!!

My retrieval is scheduled somewhere in the mid of September.

During my last ivf with icsi, i was also put on double doses of Lupron as I was responding badly. I had 10 eggs in total out which only 7 were mature and 5 of them fertilised normally. However, 3 embryos were transferred which were grade A-4 celled embryos. I rested very well but missed my DH who is posted in Bahrain. I guess that was the reason I had BFN.

My first ivf figures were more promising, I had 13 eggs, 10 mature, 5 fertilised, 3 transferred again all grade A 4 celled embryos.
The result was unexplained BFN.

I have no frosties and now beginning another journey from next week with Lupron doses. Hope this time Lord has planned motherhood for me.

I have found great comfort, peace and unconditional support here on this site without actually conversing with anyone...I wish I would have discovered this site in May itself, then results might have been different.
But its better late then never!!
So, I am here looking for cycle buddies or anyone who wants to share.

This is my first experience with jury duty. I always wanted to be selected, but now I am finding out it is completely boring.
