Question about falling hcg - Ghost or others

Post by chunchun »

What is generally accepted as a safe first beta hcg?

I had a level of 6.7 15 dpt - declared +ve preg, 2 days later falls to 2!!!
Is this possible so early? The RE calls it quits for now- is this right?
Any chance for it to shoot back up?

Also, How Good are 2 day transfers for 8 cell and 6 cell embryos.

Just can't understnad how things can turn around bad so quickly

sorry for the vent.

Hi Chunchun,
It looks like you had a chemical pregnancy to me. I don't want ot make you feel bad, but HCG of a number of 2 is really low, 1 is considered non pregnant. But miracles happen.
No matter what happens i wish you lots of baby dust!

My last treatment went like that, my hcg levels were 38, two days later it did double, but then dropped down again, so was classed as chemical pregnancy.

Stay positive though and look after yourself

Chunchun, i am so sorry, you have had a bio-chemical pregnancy. i have had 2 of these and recent test results show i have a clotting problem, Factor V, and can cause early miscarraige, i will take a small dose of aspirin on my next treatment to try to avoid this.
At my clinic a number of 2 or below is classed as a negative.
Please take time to come to terms with this, i took the positive in that i now know i can get pregnant i just need then to stay around. \good luck to you and hope your dreams come true.
