Hi Girls!!!

Well, what a miserable day it is here today. Rain, rain and more rain!!! . Hope you are all well and you are feeling better JEN and KATE is taking it easy and loving being an expectant mum (goes without saying!) and LISA isn't working too hard on her final two days and LUCY is relaxing and not overdoing it (good luck for next week x) and that Katie is gurgling and swimming the channel for GAIL and that NIKKI's PMA has lifted with the healthy follicles you are carrying xxx

I have to say myself the pics do look fab and I too will be adding more some time soon.....

Just wanted to get something off my chest....I have two sisters, one 28 one 37 and whilst we are close we are all very different in character/lifestyle. Neither are married or in a serious relationship and I am conscious they are thinking about their biological clocks ticking etc etc. Ever since I have been married my eldest sister gives me the "you don't know how lucky you are" etc but I now have to say that considering the lengths we have been to to get pregnant that they would both be more interested/excited and basically feel they are not. I thought I was being paranoid to be honest as don't really hear much from either of them at the moment and rarely ask how I am but went for dinner last night with them both and my mum and my elder sister upset me a lot.

Basically when mum was asking me how I was and chatting etc my younger sister rolled her eyes and whispered "they are talking babies, I may never have one" - my older sister said "I might not either - I am not listening". I pulled her later to see if everything was ok and she said "yes fine, just don't need my nose rubbing in it by mum all the time". I said "considering you haven't seen me for 2 months I thought you might be more interested in me/the baby".

It is obvious they are a bit jealous and I don't blame them - we know what it is like don't we - but after coming so far I now feel like I can't share my joy/feelings/anxiety with them and I am so annoyed and disappointed with them both. I never played the sympathy card ever and can't believe neither of them can hold their feelings to themselves. Am I being touchy????????????????????????????

what jealous, SELFISH sisters you have...i can't believe even the older one pissed off at you...Poor you hun you deserve more support than that. I was going through a divorce when my older sis ( unmarried at the time) became preg ( my 1st hubby and i had beeen ttc 18months). I stood by my sis and was overjoyed at her being preg with 1st neice then nephew and 2nd neice. ( she has 3 now!!!!) I would be missing so much if i wasn't there in the early days for her. I an so sure that when little one comes she/he will win hearts of the ugly sisters and win them around.

Only problem is that doesn't help you just now does it...weell hun, we are here for you and so is your MUM. My advise would be to stand your ground like you did. be assertive, they are the ones throwing their dummys out of the pram at 37 years and 28 years. Surely they must know what you have beeen through and how overjoyed you and DH are. Ohh send them here so i can knock their childish heads together with some realistic counselling!!!!!!!!

I am abit angry tonight... on th way ourt of TESCO i bumped into an 7-8 month old preggy lady...who was smokin a fag...i was so annoyed at her stomping around smoking that i said to her...
if your child had a choice if it could smoke or not,... do you think it would (smoke)???
So looked at me as if i had 2 heads..but i had to say something i was so annoyed.
Don't get me wrong i smoked for 14 years ( 14-28yrs old and at that age i said to myself i have smoked for half my life do i really want continue for the next half???? and decided not to and stopped) My mum smoked all the way through both her preg with my older sis and me. We both have athsma and numerous allergies. God i am ranting now...i do hope no one here smokes...if they ddo sorry girls it's just my views and i gotta stick by them...smoking aint good and smoking in pregnancy is by my ccount extremely bad for your child x x

Jen, you prob wont see this now if u are off for a few days, but if u do, then thx for the support via mystic meg!!!! LOL!!!!
I really want this surge to happen to day, and if not 2moro...... Its day 14 today so really by the book it should be here today and since OHSS/IVF i have had perfect 28 day cycles!!!
I will test shortly, and let you know...... I have to wee on stick to check LH surge, this is all done at home.... unlike lisa who had bloods done to check surge!!
So i test 3 times a day the back of pack says 1 time, but heck i dont want to miss it...... It was negaive at 7am

I have wee'd on a stick, and still no surge...... but now i am thinking, i still have pregnyl left from the ivf, do u think i could use that trigger myself and get going.........
tried to call clinic, but reception said all docs/nurse are busy today with ET's EC's and scans etc... but would call me later this afternoon........

Jen - I totally agree with you on the whole smoking thing. It is not good for you and certainly not good for your baby. Good on you for saying something. Dh has been so close to saying something on several occasions since I have been preg when he has seen other preggie women smoking - they cannot use ignorance as an excuse, its so well publicised now that smoking harms your baby during pregnancy and after, with passive smoking etc. I read yesterday in a magazine about a woman who was smoking next to her daughter's cot - she left the fag smouldering away beside the cot to go and get something. When she was out the room the cigarette fell into the cot and set the little one alight. She survived but had 85% burns to her body and face. There was a picture of the wee girl, now aged 10 and her face is so disfugured, I nearly cried. I mean apart from the fact that she was smoking in a bedroom and left a lit fag whilst she left the room, what possessed her to smoke infront of her daughter in the first place?! It made me so angry esp when you see what she has done to her daughter. So irresponsible ...... Anyway hun, enjoy the wedding and time with your friend. What are you wearing to the wedding?? Julie - oh honey, I totally agree with Jen. Your sister's are being extremely selfish. Considering what you have been through - I presume they know everything?? Its totally sour grapes I hate to say and you were right to make your feelings known. Stand your ground. They should be overjoyed for you. When dh and I got our news that he had no sperm and would need sperm retrieval, my bruv and Sis in law found out the same week they were expecting no.2 - my gorgeous niece. It was very hard news to take at that time but there's no way I could have taken it out on them. I mean its not there fault we were in the position we were in and you should not be made to feel guilty about where you are now - so carry on as you are and update them re scans etc. and if they can't hack it its not your problem. Have they asked themselves what they would do if the tables were turned?? I'm sure they certainly wouldn't expect you to act like they are now. ((((((HUGS)))))xxxxx

Nicki - as per text. You have everything to be positive about doll. As I said in text, there was me plus another 2 woman who got BFP at cycle 6 or later in the cohort of women doing back to back donor intra cervical insem at same time as me so there you go - it really does work! xxx

Lucy - I kept thinking you were on your hols now for some reason. Not long to go now! You look lovely in your photos. I imagined you to have dark hair but shorter but otherwise you look like I thought you would! And lovely to see your sis and niece. xx

Kate - not long til scan - next Thursday? How are you feeling about it. I was so emotional - I burst in to tears once I saw heart beat flickering on scan. It truly is amazing. xx

Gail - has Katie mastered the rolling over yet? More photos please of her. I love that picture where she is looking at tigger. She looks so adorable. Its such a lovely photo xxx

Well I am now lady of leisure Its so wierd the thought of not wrking for a year. The longest time I've been off since starting is 2 weeks and before that I was always working whilst at Uni, during hols to get money etc. My tea party is next Saturday but work have already said they want to wait til baby is born before they buy pressies. This seems to be tradition with my work which is OK with me. I got a gorgeous big bouquet of flowers delivered to me at work yesterday morning. Shades of pink - lillies, eucalyptus, really unusual, modern flowers I've never seen! Really beautiful. As for the morning, was pretty uneventful as I thought. Was working with one other colleague (one off sick, one on hols, 2 on other sites etc) and we had a really busy children's clinic so had patients all morning. Didn't even have time for a cup of tea never mind photos. So will be good to see them all next week then will arrange to meet them again with baby in tow after October.

Anyway I'm off for a cuppa now. Have a good weekend all xxx

Jen - Enjoy the wedding hun. I agree re the smoking too. I too smoked from 14 - 33 and only gave up because of the treatment and it was hard because I enjoyed it and missed it but I have done it as I don't agree about the smoking thro pregnancy/in front of children. Good for you for speaking out.

Lis - Maternity leave for you!! Bet part of you still can't believe it. October will be here before you know it. Hope the nursery etc is coming along.

Kate - Good luck for Thursday. I never slept a wink the night before my first one. It is amazing but still surreal for some time after.

Luc/Gail - Hi to you both. What you up to this weekend?

As for me - spoke to mum re sisters (thanks for advice girls). She basically said to ignore them and to be honest I now have the don't give a sh*t attitude about it. If that is the way they want to be. I know deep down that it isn't how they really feel (I hope!). They stick together with both being single and have got closer since younger sis relationship broke down. Whilst they have good jobs they are not career girls and it is the scenario of looking too hard for Mr Right I think.

Anyway, baby moved for the first time last night! Was weird/wonderful. Was naughtily jigging my tum and I felt a shifting sensation across my tum. Made me catch my breath. Rang my nan and mum but didn't ring my sisters.....
