So many posts over the weekend!!!

I tried to post Friday at noon to 3:00 and the server for this site was down or at least it was from my work site.

Rebecca, great to hear about the ET!! Sounds like you got 2 fantastic embies settling in. Take it easy and relax. We will be awaiting your news on your BFP next week. Sending bunches and bunches of sticky baby dust your way.

JenB, hope the wedding was great Saturday and you got to catch up with your friends. It is always great to have friends visit. My two best friends live a great distance away so when we can get together we tend to pull "all nighters" just catching up. Hate to hear about DH's work. When are you expecting AF?

Jen1, sounds like DH had a really good time. Hope he is feeling better. Are you going to reschedule your BBQ for another weekend? If you have an extra patch or two, I would most definitely put a new one on. Is it this week that you hear from IM about ET?

Gill, woo-hoo!! AF arrived and patches started. Also glad to hear you are sleeping better. Probably knowing that AF arrived and getting started on patches as planned has taken a load off your mind and that always help with sleep. Will your sister and family be staying with you? Hope you all have a wonderful time.

Carolyn, sorry to hear about the pc problems. Thanks for the book titles. Only a month to your appt. That will fly by before you know it.

Our weekend was great. DH friend and family came in Saturday about noon. The guys went to the local sporting goods stores shopping and we stayed home and let the kids play. We got a short nap too. :D The dinner was fantastic. They left Sunday morning and will be back through either Friday or Saturday.

Hello and how are you to anyone I didn't mention.

Love
Kim

Finally the sun is out today and its making me feel yummy. I cant help smiling now i can breath again, its been so stressful over the last few day, waiting continually for that call.

Finally i am excited and just want on the plane

Ok, off to call my mum, i still can get hold of her to tell her

Hi there,

I discovered this fantastic thread last week and have been looking forward to joining you ever since. A big THANK YOU to Jen for setting it up, to Caroline for starting discussions on some of those big questions surrounding DE treatment, and everyone else for sharing.
There are other European sites with discussions on clinics and treatment for DE treatment which I look up on sometimes but this is definitely the only site I feel at home on. So it’s great to have you lot to talk to and share the journey with.

For those of you who don’t know me, here’s a bit of history and where we’re at now:
After all the usual tests and 3 IUIs we started off on IVF attempts, all without any BFPs. I just didn’t respond to the stimming meds whatever the protocol. With a total of 5 attempted IVF cycles we only got to ET twice, each time with only one(!) follicle and 1 embryo. Fertilisation was never a problem and no male factor problems have been detected to date. Although the embryos were 1A class on the photos, we finally had to come to terms with the fact that the embies just weren’t the quality they appeared to be and there was no point in keep trying. At the beginning we never dreamed we would be candidates for DE treatment but in the end I found that the idea of having to give up on my eggs was worse than the decision to go with donor eggs, if that makes any sense.

In March/April we decided on a clinic in Poland and our 1st appointment was 18th May. Unfortunately we have had to wait a few months due to the clinic’s summer break but we’ve now finally made it to the starting line. If all goes well I’ll be starting on meds next week.

Looking forward to joining you for a chat when I can and cheering everyone on for lots of BFPs.

Jen – so pleased to read your good news from Barcelona. Wishing you a smooth trip and lots of luck for ET on Friday !

Love Sonia

Welcome Sonia!!! JenB did a great job in starting this thread. It has been very helpful.

Jen1, I recommend Rooibos tea. It has the same high levels of antioxidants as green tea but is not caffienated (naturally). Cheers - Here's to the 7th!!! BFP! BFP! BFP!

Hi Jen,

I just wanted to wish you all the luck in the world for Friday - will be thinking of you! Acupuncture really helped me and I am so glad that I managed to arrange it as I had never initially planned it. I'm drinking de-caf tea everyday and so I'm hoping it's OK. Green tea is actually caffinated so I would stick to the de-caf ..unless anyone else knows any different. Really looking forward to you joining me on the 2WW - it's a bit lonely out here by myself!!

On my side, I'm doing great, back at work but taking it easy. I have sore boobs, sore hips and an aching lower tummy but I had all of those before the ET so I can't say that I feel anything different! I wish I did. I'm desperate to start feeling sick!!! It was hard to get back into it after nearly 48 hours in bed as that in itself made me a bit weak but now I am just hoping the days will go quickly.

Sonix, good luck with the stims and welcome to the thread, I thought I was out there all alone in the world until I "met" these wonderful ladies and they let me join their roller coaster :)

Carolyn, Thanks for your words, sometimes it's hard for me to believe that their about me as for a long time i thought I would never get this far. Let's just hope I get to the next stage and those frosties can stay in teh fridge for a bit longer :)

Jill, Anna and everyone else - hang in there and happy tuesday - we're all one day closer!!

I have a question. I am not due AF until 9/3 and I have some light spotting this afternoon. You think I should let ER know about this? I have always been right on schedule with a 25 day cycle. Never more than one day off except immediately after IVF. Not sure what to do, if anything.

Hi :D

Jen1- :D Hope you got my emails, how are you doing? Testing on the 7th!!!!!
Im so excited for you hun :D I'll be checking in tomorrow to see how many eggs you've had, I have everything crossed for you to get a lovely big, strong bunch of them :D and then its Big B here you come!

Carolyn- :D Hope you are ok, your ticker is under the month now yipee! The time will just fly now and you'll be in Big B 8) before you know it. Has that third book arrived yet?

Rebecca- :D Glad to hear that you are doing ok. Hope you are taking it easy and that the time isnt going to slowly for you. Sending you loads of sticky baby dust x

Kim- :D Glad you had a great weekend. Yes I think that af arriving and getting started on the patches has helped me sleep better. My sister is staying at my parents house which is about a 3/4 hour drive from me, I am staying over with them a couple of nights too, so hence the late messages and lack of messages :? My nieces are a right giggle they are 6 and 8 years old, full of fun! They live quite far away and I dont get to see them as often as I would like, so when they are over I try and stay with them at my parents to make the most of their time here.

Anna- :D Glad you had a lovely weekend with your sister and Matthew :D , the weather was pants but this week is going to make up for it 8) and hopefully we will have a sunny bank holiday.

Sonia- :D Hi, welcome. Sorry to hear about your bfn :( ,but glad to hear that you are starting tmt again :D . What made you go for Poland? we are going to the IM in Barcelona, I have just started my patches and hope to have ET begining of Sep. Good luck to you. x

JenB- :D Hope you are ok and that you have been having a fab time with your friend.

Hi to everyone else I've missed hope you are all ok.

I got an email off the IM today telling me to book my scan for the 28th, and then et will be between 10-15 days after!! I just hope the acu lady will be there when we go(she's away from the 7-11th sep), we will just have to wait and see.
I am still backwards and forwards to my parents house visiting my sister and my nieces, Im staying with them tonight hence the very late post.
My eyes are starting to close so I think its time I went to bed!

Take care everyone
Lots of love
