Hey Tiger
I have heard so many times how much that 2 week wait sucks. Time must seem to go so slow for you when you have to wait for that BFP!!!

I went for an ultrasound and a visit with the doctor today. They have changed there minds again and I am having a diui. I can't keep up with what they are doing anymore!! Anyway I am going in for a Hycosy (blow out of the tubes!!) just in case they are bocked. That happens on day 7-12 off my cycle so once again I am waiting for the lovely miss AF to turn up.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

Hey Tiger!! Haha you make me laugh!!
A diui is insemination using donor sperm. The only thing better about insemination is that its a bit cheaper. Still heaps of boods, ultrasounds and all the bs that goes with it. I still have to have anaesthetic to have my tubes cleaned out and still take puregon (small dose). So it's all still the same drama without the ER.

Hi there everyone! It's been a long time between posts. I drop by every now and then and this time i noticed so much going on.

Tiger, am so happy to hear you are in the home stretch- hopefully with double news for us all to hear soon. I hope everything goes well for you and your DH- you deserve it!

Em, glad to hear (a while back) that your boys arrived safely. I'm sure they are keeping you busy. A belated congratulations!

MissMolly, also excited to hear that you are so close to having your baby. I don't remember, but did you find out the sex? Have you chosen any names yet?

BelB, definitely remember you. So sorry to hear you have been dealing with PND. I hope you are getting all the support you need right now.

Kery, good luck with your DIUI. At least your body won't have to go through so much trauma with an IUI.

Mina, congratulations on your BFP. Hopefully your luck will spread throughout this thread!

Hi Dexter and any others I may have missed.

DH and i have been going through our own roller coaster ride. We changed clinics and started an IVF round with another doctor who was too conservative (to avoid OHSS), which resulted in us finding out there was only 3 viable eggs, on my last scan before EC. We were devastated and extremely upset but pushed to speak with our doctor (who was going overseas that day) and asked to change to an IUI. I didn't want to go through the whole EC process only to find out nothing survived! While we managed to save a lot of money, unfortunately we had a BFN (technically a bio-chemical pregnancy)

The following month AF was late and so i went in for a blood test (wasn't that optimistic as i had a negative HPT), and was told that it was in fact negative from the bloods, but that my estrogen and progesterone were still up (which could be due to ovulating late or a very, very early stage pregnancy). I went back 2 days later for more bloods and even though the HCG was still very low (2), estrogen and progesterone were still going up. The nurse told me it could be a very early stage pregnancy and when i asked her if i should be excited yet, she said i should act as if i were pregnant (will know more with next blood test 4 days later). So for 4 days, DH and i were somewhat optimistic thinking that our luck had finally changed (after 4 and a half years!), only to get bloods back saying we were a definite negative. They still can't tell me for certain when to expect AF- i am at day 39 now!

When AF comes, we may try one more IUI with this clinic (as implantation doesn't seem to be an issue and it's less taxing on the body and pocket), then maybe move to adoption options.... Not sure if it's worth changing again to another doctor or clinic, as they may just say the same things...i have heard good things about Jeffrey Persson (at IVF Australia, used to be at Sydney IVF) who claims to have a 69% birth rate (although that's hard to believe) or Dr. Mark Livingstone (Sydney IVF) who others have mentioned on this thread before... I would also consider going back to Prof Chapman (IVF Australia) but i don't think DH could stomach me going through another IVF round...

Anyway, just wanted to vent. Sorry for the long blurb. I suppose i am making up for months of absence.

Hope everyone is well!

Hi guys,

Sorry I've been mia but as u can imagine life is very hectic at the moment. The boys will be 11 weeks tomorrow, can u believe it? They are such little angels ang I am so grateful they are mine.

Ozstock - Lauralou was my cycle buddy and she went through the same thing as you with BFP but low Beta and then not increasing....she was told hat her period would come any day. After 3 weeks they sent her for bloods and scans and she was pregnant! She gave birth to identical twin boys 2 weeks before I had my guys. all this from a dodgy grade d embryo they said wouldn't make it!

Mina Hello and congrats on your bfp!

Tiger -have my fingers crossed for you...when do you test?

Kery - when do yo start?

Miss molly - not long now!

BelB - good to hear from you!

Jomae- very funny about the shoes!

Dexter - best of luck with ec and so pleased to hear about your dad.

Di - how are your two? If they are anything like mine two....

Much love and luck to all,

Em

Hi Mina
I have had two isci cycles before but failed as my partner has no sperm. We are now doing a insemination using a donor. Because we haven't done a insemination before I have to do an assessment cycle first which includes having a operation to make sure my tubes are clear. I am just waiting for my af to turn up then I can start. I have had a natural pregnancy with my previous partner my son is 10 yrs old.

How are you feeling? I bet you are still excitied from your result!!!

Hi Ladies,

sorry I have been away a bit....I am a Grumpy Little Tiger for now am I…….

Hi Ozzie babes, vent as mush as you like buddy - this is the place to do it - we all know what you are talking about!!! I waited 67days before it turned up after I failed down reg for my 1st IVF tmt. I had this stupid follicle/egg stuck on my ovary that would not budge. It was very very frustrating - aghhhhhh  so I know exactly where you are at - in that horrible limbo-land !!! So here I am still dancing AF dance away for you and Kery - double time too! Good luck buddy xxx. I am sending potent dose of PMA on your way, both to you and your DH, pleas keep strong.

Ems, 11 weeks already???? I know how busy you are 'cos my sis really doesn't have life of her own anymore too! I do appreciate you popping in here time to time :).

Bel, have a good rest my friend {{{hugs}}}. Take it easy... I test on 30th Aug. Next Thu.

Kery, iui assessment sounds like a bit of a baitch.... why do they have to mess with us so so much? crappo ay.

Mina, you must be getting very very tired by now? Are you feeling sleepy all the time? I know you had spotting on your Day 8 after ET but can you think of other symptoms you can share with us? Just for an indication that maybe I am going ok too??

Diane and Dex, I hope you're both doin' ok today, lovely Friday arvo here in Melbourne, hopefully it is same where you are too :).

Heather, just wondering how you are up in outback (he-heh) QLD. I hope you're not affected by the flooding we are hearing about on the news.... pls give G-man a massive hug from moi!

I am getting all these 2ww symptoms of; wondering, expecting , imagining, dreaming, bad-mooding, not-caring anymore-ing, hoping, wondering, expecting , imagining, dreaming, bad-mooding, not-caring anymore-ing, hoping, wondering, expecting , imagining, dreaming, bad-mooding, not-caring anymore-ing, hoping………..THIS IS SO CRAZY. I can't really say anything about physical changes I am experiencing because I want to be careful and not to get too excited or feel depressed not knowing if they are positive/negative signs but yea, I should know by mid next week, blood test is next Thu. So please please have your fingers and toes and everything else crossed for us.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Cheers, Tiger

Hello all....gosh you ladies know how to yak! That'll teach me for going away.

Tiger, not long to go now!!! Feeling anything yet? The four leaf clover is an omen...what a find. We still have everything crossed for you and it is getting quite uncomfortable....hurry up with the BFP already! No flooding here just a bit of drizzle on and off (and it is bl**dy freezing).

MissMolly, wow how time flies...and a daughter! Wonderful. I hope you are not too uncomfortable. It seems to have gone so quickly, although I bet it doesn't feel like that for you. Gosh, I can't wait to hear about/see her.

Bel, I have been thinking about you, a lot. Hope you are doing ok, PND sucks. Give those beautiful girls a big hug from me and if there is anything I can do (albeit from a distance) please let me know.

Dianne, congratulations!! They are both beautiful. When were they born? I have missed so much. When you are ready (and I imagine your household is rather busy) we should catch up for that cuppa that we were going to have...err...probably years ago now! We are about to start swimming, which should be fun and I have been going to the library for story time, loud but very fun (for me, Griffin can take it or leave it). I also need to look into playgroups....I am worried that the poor kid is not getting enough contact with other children. Take care and I hope you are getting some sleep!

Mina, hello and congrats on your BFP! All that worry for nothing.

Em, hope you too are getting some sleep. I can only imagine what life is like with two babies....one is plenty for me!

Ozstock, sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. I can highly recommend Dr Livingstone...he is a God! I am sure MissMolly would agree!

Kery, I too am doing an AF dance for you (and it's not pretty, trust me). Hope the op goes well and that your tubes are perfectly pristine!

Dexter, like I said above....I love Dr Livingstone and Sydney IVF. We did 3 ICSI cycles with our local clinic and almost a FET (didn't thaw too well) with lousy results. With Sydney IVF we did one ICSI cycle and managed to get 10 eggs, eight fertilised, 5 blasts, 2 put back, 3 frozen and one BFP!! I believe there lab is second to none....and you are right, their culture system is apparently very innovative and is now used around the world. Go for it!

Gosh, I hope I haven't missed anyone....apologies if I have.

We too have started on mushy food, I will post a pic in photobucket. The poor dear must have a delicate palate as he will only eat pumpkin, sweet potato, avocado, banana and sometimes pear and apple. He is not a big fan of cereal but I have been hiding it in other things. I have also been trying to give him prune juice to help with the effects of the cereal but he really doesn't get the whole cup idea and he just bites the teat of the bottle and doesn't realise that you need to suck to get any. Surprising, because he has been such a little piggy until now. Oh, well, we shall soldier on.

Is it the 30th yet? Can't wait Tiger...are you gonna POAS early? I am really impatient.

Hope you all have a great weekend....it will take you all of it to read this post!

Cheers
Heather
