Hunger Hunger all the time........

Post by Jo Locker »

Don't you find this hunger thing really weird?? I've always been the type of person with a fair bit of willpower when it comes to eating and could deny myself and just ignore the hunger pangs until mealtimes. Feels so strange to be out of control - I am still trying to snack healthily when I can but as soon as I've eaten something, two minutes later I'm thinking what can I eat next!!!!!

Fascinating how these little babies take total control of us.

Is anyone else finding it hard to be at work?? Between thinking about food, sneaking into the kitchen for illict bowls of cereal, and running to the loo, I'm finding it difficult to concentrate and do all the work I have to do (cos I'm on holiday for 2 weeks from friday - yipeeee!!!)

Be so glad when this sickness bit is over - a bit scared in case I'm one of those who gets it all the way through the pregnancy!!

Hope you're all having great Wednesdays. Food - oh my god - I was stuffing myself the first 12 weeks and going to the loo - this then calmed down at 12 weeks but as am steroids they make me super hungry - yesterday and today are a baaad day.
Had breakfast and got into work and had to have a sausage and egg mcmuffin - don;t ask why just had to. Then had a packed to wotsits as was going to get a bacon and sausage roll. Then had some toast and bovril (all that on offer in the office via the seccy) demolished all my lunch and then stuffed all afternoon. Today had breakkie and then a bagel with cream cheese and bacon when I got in - now off to have my avocado sandwich.
Must be the steroids - baby does not need this and how the hell will I shift the remains!
Love
Tracey
xxxxxxx

Hi Jo

I know what its like when your hungry and can't stop I am just like that myself. The first 12 weeks I just wasn't bothered about food but now I love my food, well what did I have yesterday, I had my cereal, then I had 2 plums, 1 nectarine, packet of crisps, 2 chicken rolls, then I come home and had a packet of hula hoops and a twix, then I had my tea which was gammon & some chips, is this bad???

Tracey how you doing, not spoke to you for a while, how you doing with your pregnancy. I am 17 weeks today, but I have been getting all sorts of weird tummy pains, not ones that I have experienced before. Would you also believe I have that dark line coming and my belly button is going funny. Thats one thing that I am not looking forward to because I hate belly buttons anyway LOL.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Love
Shell
17wks
xx

Shell

How's it going - I am 16.1 and still stuffing - the colitis is starting to get sorted and the steroids are making me hungrier. I have been growing the last week I reckon but the last few days seem to get harder each day if that makes sense. By night and having worked all day I am quite stiff and hard (sounds rude doesn;t it) and need to put my feet up - I can get quite uncomfortable. I think my belly button is coming out more - all the more disturbing as it has a mole on it - think it's been there since they carved me open for the ectopic! As for the dark line - that is not remotely there - I look! Mind you I am dark skinned - very tanned at present so doesn't always show up. My 20 week scan is 8th september but this coming Monday I am seeing the midwife - haven't seen her since week 9! and she should put the doppler on me - haven't heard the heart beat yet.
Glad you are well - keep me posted.
JO - read my message back - pg brain or what - the spelling and english is all over the place. Today I have had extra breakfast so as to not keep stuffing all morning - we will see. Colitis starting to improve and have 5 more weeks of steroids or just under.
Take care all
Love
TRacey
xxxx
