Oh no..Stretchmarks!!!

Post by KirstyC »

Hi everyone,

I have been smugly thinking for the last few weeks that my tummy and thighs have got away with it and I was hopefully going to be one of the lucky 20% who don't get strectch marks...
However, just had a lovely bath and stupidly decided to look in the mirror afterwards and have discovered stretchmarks on my bum!!! ( I haven't looked at a rear view of myself recently as the size is very disturbing!!)
Anyone else discovered any too??
I suppose I should see then as a reminder of the miracle of my pregnancy and stop moaning shouldn't I?!
Hope everyone else is ok,I am off Cornwall tomorrow for our very last break with just the two of us....Ahhh!!

Lots of love to all and bumps!(and stretchmarks!)

Kirsty
xx

Hi Kirsty

I don't have any yet but I guess I am only 17wks so I wouldn't have any yet. The thing is people say about all these different lotions you can buy to help but I don't know if they work, I was going to try myself but I wonder if they do.

You have a great time at Cornwall, I am sure you will have a nice time just take it steady.

Love
Shell.xx

Kirsty

You've made my day!!!!!!! Sorry, but I am so glad I'm not the only one! :-)

We've been doing loads of decorating recently and have taken down all the full length mirrors in our house. To cut a long story short, I got to look in the mirror a few days ago for the first time in a couple of weeks and discovered stretchmarks on my belly - on the underside of my belly to be precise (if that makes sense). I obviously can't see that part of my body without a mirror and I was quite shocked and disturbed too! I'm even more worried now about what you said - I haven't looked at my bum for ages either. You don't think I could have them there too do you? .............

The joys of pregnancy hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you have a fab time in Cornwall and the weather is kind to you. It's funny thinking that it'll be the last hols on your own. Every time we did something in Jersey we commented on the fact that we won't be doing that on our own again! Bliss.

don't forget to check in when you get back. we must set up a time to chat.

LOL to you all.

Helen & the boys xxxxxxx
26 wks & 3 days!

Kirsty

I know you aren't really moaning as you as so happy about being PG like the rest of us..... but there is always space for a fret about stretch marks. I am 16 .3 and thinking ooooo my god - been rubbing away with vit e cream but a lot is heridatary isn't it and if we are going to have them no end of cream is going to do any good. Try and stay moisturised as it will limit the effect after. Many go think - or should I say hope. Have a fab time in Cornwall anyway and just think of how many supermodels have cellulite marks and no babies at all!
Jo - Palmers coco butter - I would be eating it off so have had to resort to a huge tub of VIT E cream from Superdrug that I bought 2 yrs ago and couldn't be arsed (sorry to coin this phrase Kirsty) to use.
Love
Tracey
xxx
