Better News Today

Post by Chelle »

Hi girls, I'm much happier after my 2nd follie scan today as I've had better news, you girls were right, the follies have come on leaps and bounds since Friday. I have two at 18mm and two at 14mm. The clinic believe the smaller ones will catch up in a couple of days so they have scheduled me for EC on Friday at 0830 hrs, I'm stunned, I really thought my cycle was going to be cancelled. I don't know what happened to No. 5, but it's probably hiding behind the others? I know the quantity could have been so much better but they obviously feel it's worthwhile with 4 follies, so I guess they are the experts.

Good luck with EC tomorrow Chriss and Bernie, I will be thinking of you both 1 step closer to the goal girls.

Yarnista, how many eggs bloody hell, mine better be top quality to compete with yours go girl, I’m really chuffed for you. Hopefully we will both get BFP’s despite our differing circumstances.

To everyone else keep up the PMA, hopefully we will get there in the end. Group hug girlies group hug.

Sorry to butt in but...
To Chriss and Chelle - I only had four follies, the clinic asked if I had cosidered converting to IUI, I didn't want to. They got four eggs, only two fertilized, and they transferred the two. I am now almost 10 weeks preggo with one baby. I just wanted to let you two ladies know that it can happen, even with low numbers and wanted to send you lots of sticky baby dust!

Best of luck to all!

I need some advice. So we initially had 10 good embries, we transfer back two back in June this result in BFN.

Now, I would like to transfer 3 back, but because of my past, my Dr. doesn't want me to transfer 3 embryos, if is up to him I would only transfer 1. They want me to transfer only 2. This is my fifth time going through this with them. The only time I have got pregnant was when we transfer five embryos.

My nurse called me today to let me know that they freeze 2 embries together in one straw, so they would have to thaw out 4 embryos to transfer 2 good ones. Well, I told them if they thaw 4 embryos I want to transfer back 3. My nurse then asked me, what if they thaw two and both is okay should they just transfer the two and leave me with 6 frozen ones? I told her I would get back to her.

My thought now is for them to thaw out four and transfer 3 even if the time set of two are okay. What do you ladies think.

Thanks,
Helen

Hey ladies, just an update I had u/s this morning and I now have a grand total of 36 follies. I don't think this is always a such a good thing because it doesn't meant they are great quality or anything. I'm feeling 100% better than I was back in March. I'm having a problem with waking up all night on the hour though. I had a new nurse today and I mentioned it to her and said maybe its the hormones and she said she never heard of that. I really didn't like her nearly as much as the other nurses so now i'm wondering if I should say something. She didn't introduce herself which I thought was odd, maybe she's just new.
I had a massage today and it was utter bliss.

boluwa2008: I don't know what to tell you on that. If you are frustrated with the clinic maybe you should go elsewhere. I also live in CT and didn't like the big clinic setting at UCONN so we are going to a single Dr.

chriss: I hope you have lots of fertile embies soon. I fixed up my teaching space a wee bit yesterday then went by the mall. I felt good about going back after one of the kids was shouting my name to say hello to me. That's always so nice when they have graduated and they come back and hug you.

wishfull27: My tummy is looking pretty bruised up too. DH has been feeling a little bad lately too watching what I'm going through.

Chelle: So happy for you that things are progressing well.

ICSI girl: I hope you have a nice big BFP coming very soon. No they have not found a teacher for me to work with. So I may just be calling in sick quite a few days after ET. I can't handle that extra stress right now, 80 kids by myself how absurd is that, it's not teaching its crowd control.

bernie01: I hope ET goes well for you on Friday, you are almost there.

Lots of love and baby dust to all :D :D :D :D :D :D
