allmost parents @31 weeks

hello there. is bin a while...well last wednsday we whent to the obgyn for a check up and they found at the ultrasound that te cervix was starting to open i belive they sayed funneling....opening at the bottom,so they send us at the hospital over night for monitoring and thank God the cervix did not change, is holding so far,so they send us home the next day, so now my wife is now home resting ,no driving and no work....we know that twins usually dont stay 40 weeks,but at 31 weeks is kind premature,but now ...it looks like that anything is possible,we just hope and pray that all going to be ok.... did anyone had or have the same situation??

I read your post and thought I'd share my similar situation with you. I was pregnant with twins about 2 1/2 years ago. It was a difficult pregnancy too. I was on bed rest for most of my pregnacy, and the last month was spent in the hospital. At 24 weeks I had the funneling problem too. They kept me in the hospital because they feared my water would break because of the funneling. I stayed in the hospital for 4 weeks until my body was done, and I gave birth at 30 weeks (the contractions just wouldn't stop). The good news is that my water never broke on its own. They had to do it. I think that if your wife stays down, she has a good chance of keeping those babies in her for a few more weeks--35 weeks would be great for twins! Good luck!

not sure if you know me but i have been following your story and we briefly chatted about low sperm motility once...anyway, just wanted to say that you'll be in my prayers and i'll be keeping everything crossed (or maybe your wife should! ) that everything goes well. i'm sure it will so keep up that PMA!

Hey Tony!
Sorry to hear you and DW got quite a scare! I hope it all turnsout well and your little ones stay inside for at least a few more weeks. I am almost 32 weeks and my OB's new goal is 35 weeks for us.
Just follow OB's orders and take good care of her and I'm sure all will be fine. At least you're on the home stretch now. I'll be thinking of you both and praying for a very wonderful outcome!

hello....this week is bin ok ,my wife she is home now and it seams that everything is back to normal,tonight we have an other obg's appointment

hello my friends...today visit whent well,babys are mouving fine ,they're fine and they are around 4 lbr each,but one thing that i don't understand is that my wife lost 7 lbr ....they say that it happend before....i just dont get it.....but they say that is ok ......i'm just so tired to be worryed...but again ..i do worry a lot................hope to hear from you....bye

What a fright you got. It's hard isn't it trying to get to the end without anything happening. I'm exactly at the same stage as your wife. In fact we had our embryos transfered back the same day. I really hope all will be well.

I went into hospital myself Monday this week because I got gastric flu. I too have lost about 6lbs in weight because I can't eat. I'm still on fluids and dried bread now as nothing stays down. Luckily my little boys seem unaffected and are happily jumping about in there. The midwife says that losing the weight is not a worry. That the babies are parasites and will always ensure their survival above ours. I too have worried a lot this week like you and Maria, but everything will be ok.

I'm hoping I hold on to 35 weeks. My babies are just over 4lbs each too.

today we've got an other appointement,and they will do a test...some like hss or ssh...is to see if my wife goes in to labor .......she had 1 contraction 2 days ago...just one...
LISA....hi...i hope that you and your babys are fine...i guess we have to take as it come.....well just take nice and easy,my wife have stop working,
and we are slowly getting to 33 weeks.......she does not sleep pretty well
and them 2 they keep on kicking and mouving around.......but i guess that is they're job.......................thank you. ....................TONY
