Frozen Embryo Transfer

Post by 39again »

I had a son after a successful IVF 4 years ago and now I have 2 frozen blast stage embies. I am planning to transfer them in January 08.

Anyone in a similar situation or has anyone transferred frozen with success?

I am told that it is ideal to have 3 to transfer. I know that chances go down with frozen and chances go down only transferring two so I am not overly hopeful. Also my age (39) is not a plus. Luckily the embies are from my 34 year old eggs!

I'd love to hear from anyone with frozen embie transfer experiences. Thanks.

Hi 39again,

I don't have any sucess stories (yet) as I just had my first FET yesterday. I've been through 5 unsuccessful fresh transfers so I am hoping maybe a FET is my lucky charm!

I think if you have 2 embryos you are doing great. I had three embies frozen and all made it through the thaw so hopefully your two will to!

Best of luck in January! I'll let you know if I turn into a success story in a couple of weeks!
