It's Official... But am I April or May???

Post by Cocoa »

Hi Ladies...

I have been on pins and needles ALL day today since my bw this morning even though my two POASs said +++ but its official I am PREGNANT!!!

I am a teeny bit scared though because my Beta is 485 and its CD 14!!! Twins?!?!?!?!? That would be JUST fine though because I trust God and it will all work out right?!

I did the IVF due date calendar and it said April 30th so am I IN for April or should I look toward May 08?? Whaddya think?

Any more good news out there??? Tell me how everyone is doing!

Cocoa! Congratulations...hey, my first HCG test was 475...then 3 days later it was 1,680...the nurse said most likely I'm having twins...
I think you are too :o :o

Now, twins are normally early...I'm picking up from my online reading around 35-37 weeks...so you'll be early...only good thing is that twins are c-section....at least good for me, I have NEVEr been a woman who ever wanted to go through childbirth...the thought of natural childbirth? (A friend did that) makes me want to throw up!

GOOD LUCK

Hey Woodcliff!!! OK so then I should officially be in the April 2008 group with a possible late March delivery if twins??!?!?!? Hmmm... not sure I like the c-section BUT I WAS just talking about delivery with my friend and I told her I did NOT enjoy it in the least with my son 14 years ago (nor did I enjoy the first 3 months with all the exhaustion and nausea!)

Hmmm... twins... hmmm... well all my DH could say was "Yeah, I expected that" (a positive). I did NOT tell him the Beta # nor would I tell him what it meant even if I DID tell him the number. But I don't think men are quite ready for "probables" just "absolutes" so no point in freaking him out just yet!

You know I have been dreaming about this for 12 years (since our son was 2) and I even had VIVID dreams LAST Aug about being pregnant with twins. I think I even SAW these babies in my heart long before that too. Like when I had my son just about 14 years ago - I felt like I had known him ALL my life. It's an incredible feeling. It's so very like God to do that.

So I go in on Friday for my second Beta (2 days later) to see how the numbers look but I'll tell you 485 for a CD28 (literally 2 weeks post ovulation) is incredible. I expected more like 200 if that (I POAS Mon and Tues and both were not glaring so I didn't think I was THAT high!!!

Keep posting ladies... need more good news!!!

Kbat - stay relaxed and GET a massage AND reflexology on your feet before the ET. There are places around the feet that help with uterine blood flow (and its WAY less expensive than a series of acupuncture which I could NOT afford)

Smiles and Baby Dust to ALL!!!

Cocoa! So happy for you...I agree on men needing absolutes, mine husband's a scientist so unless I can back something up with solid facts, I don't even Think It in front of him

I hear you re: feeling twins/etc...I always felt I'd be the mother of twins...that said, I'm trying not to go too bonkers until the first U/S at least, I really need to hear the heartbeats and make sure the levels are right before I truly celebrate...(My faith is in science, very little, if any, in any type of uber power)...

Cocoa, go on the Twins message board at What to Expect (google it, don't know the address)...lots of information there...

GOOD LUCK

Woodcliff!!!

I can't find the message board to which you refer. If you can (at your convenience) find the actual site address I would appreciate it. That "what to expect site" is soooo confusing...

So, I really have no symptoms anymore (just a little soreness in the bbs and a little pulling/fullness down there) but I am not concerned. This happens and believe me I CAN wait for the nausea to start! It's coming...

Thanks and HHP!!!

Cocoa,

WOW!!! 485 is great! It has got to be twins!! YEAH!

My beta was 186 on day 14. I was hoping for twins too. But who knows.... I thought the 2WW was long, and now I just can't wait to find out if it is one or two and I just wish I could know. Either way, it just feels so good to finally get a BFP!!!

Are you still doing PIO shots? My hips are getting very sore and the thought of 8 more weeks doesn't sound fun. But I think we all know that we will do WHATEVER it takes!

Congrats again!

Hi Kalu:

YES!!! I had pink spotting last night after a FULL day of bad cramping and I was sure the baby was vanishing  I called the dr. (45 minutes after hours) and she immediately told me the cramps and blood were NORMAL!!! Thanks doc - sorry to bother you!!! I was told by my ob/gyn 14 years ago with my son that the implantation spotting can "come out" of the cervix days after implantation since it has to make its way out of the body. Also, it takes more than one day for full implantation to occur.

My cramps were SOOOOO bad yesterday and last night that my lower back was aching so bad I was tempted to take tylenol but I breathed through it (like labor  - not quite - labor sucks). Sounds to me like you are what my dr called NORMAL!!! Sticky vibes and Baby Dust!!!!

Hi Heidi:

Yep I take PIO and from what I understand I will be on them for quite a while. I just had the privilege of ordering refills of everything today. It's exciting but I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. My butt being sore and lumpy is a constant reminder its real.

So you really want twins? I think I do too... I love the thought of doubling my family (almost) with just one pregnancy. I am So excited!!!

Well, Sticky vibes and Baby Dust for a HHP!!

Cocoa,

Thanks for the prompt reply. It makes me feel much better. I hope you are feeling much better today and hope you continue to feel good.
This is my second cycle. I don't produce many follicles and that's why I don't have any frozen embryo. I am keeping my fingers crossed so that everything goes well. My back hearts too, may be due to the progestoren shots. I get fever and leg pain.
Do you take the shot?

Hi Kalu:

I DO take the PIO shots every night.... my lumpy butt is sore and I have a long way to go on those shots (my body just refuses to make progesterone and until of course the placenta does it I need to take PIO shots).

I feel better today thank you but I do still have achiness "down there". My bbs are now starting to get noticably bigger and feel heavier (sore).

So sticky vibes to you and we'll all talk tomorrow...
