OH BLIMEY, I AM SO NERVOUS TODAY

Just emailed Big B and asked if they can inform me how many eggs we get after EC. Didnt sleep much, just kept thinking about our lovely (not ugly ) ed going through this for me.

I feel a bit scared to, just praying it works as i dont think i can deal with more disappointment and depression BUT i have younger eggs so i'm staying positive

BRING ON THAT 2WW, I'M GOING TO KICK ITS BUTT

Jen, GOOD LUCK...will be thinking of you over the next few days. As for things to do/not do during 2ww, my advice would be to 'be yourself.' Those embies will stick if they are going to no matter what you do. Think, if you were naturally pregnant you may not even know and you go about your normal everyday life. (Obviously I wouldn't go trampolining!!!!) I didn't take any bed rest at all, IM don't even mind you flying back to England the day after ET. I have everything crossed for you, take care xx

Rebecca, how's the 2ww? Hope the days are passing quickly, sticky baby dust to you.

Kim, if I were you I would phone RE just to put your mind at rest. It's probably nothing to worry about.

Hi Eggheads!

Just thought I'd give you a quick update. I posted earlier thinking that I might be headed your way. We just did our FET yesterday but at the same time we got the results of my DH's sperm DNA fragmentation test. It looks like that might be our problem - his sperm is 50% fragmented which means poor fertility potential. After 5 failed fresh attempts (we'll see what this FET holds for us - but I am not hopefully given the sperm fragmentation results) I am relieved to now know what is holding us up!

So, that means that we won't be looking for donor eggs but rather donor sperm.

Hello Kelly, we would love to have you stay with us. JenB mentioned when she started this thread that this would be good support for those using donor eggs or sperm. I wish you all the GREATEST of luck with your FET. It is always a great feeling when you find the problem and can start working toward a fix.

Anna, thanks for the suggestion. I did call RE and the nurse called me back. She said there is nothing to worry about. Spotting can happen from time to time, but that even if I went into full blown AF it still wouldn't mess up the start of the cycle. I would just start on the BC pills early. The spotting has almost stopped completely. It was just strange because for many many years, I have not spotted two weeks before AF due date or in the middle of my cycle. I am one of those that my AF has never been more than 1 day off.

Jen1 - have you heard anything from Big B on your eggs and quality? Wow it is day after tomorrow. (that sounds better than 2 days) Have a very safe trip. Lots of sticky baby dust to you.

Gill, you are definitely a family-type like me. I love spending time with my family.

Rebecca, hope time is passing by quickly for you. When do you test?

Carolyn, well you gave me the book bug. I went online to Amazon and ordered 4 books to read. "Hot Flashes, Warm Bottles"; "Midlife Motherhood; A Woman-to-Woman Guide to pregnancy and parenting"; "But I Don't Feel Too Old to be a Mommy"; and "Helping the Stork: The Choices and Challenges of Donor Insemination" Three of these deal with my fears of having a child at 47.

Kim - glad that you called and point your mind at rest. It is always better after you've called I find. So glad that you are still on track with everything. Really interested to see the books that you have ordered. Would be really keen to hear from you whether any of them are any good. I am not too far behind you and my dh is 5-1 so it is not as if we are spring chicken!

Gill - how exciting to get your scan booked. My sense is that these things always take a little longer than we expect so hopefully hope that acu lady is back for you. Jen will no doubt come back and say she is pants anyway as I nagged her so much!!!! Ha Ha. 3rd book still not arrived.

Rebecca - you are leading from the front. Hope the frosties will not be required for some time either. Are you going to succumb to the evil HPTs or are you going to hold out to test day? I can so understand the wanting to feel sick but it is very early hun

Sonia - welcome. I am sure that we cycled together or our paths crossed before. I am sorry that you have had to suffer 5 -ves. I can so understand your comments. I never thought that I would be at ED stage as I responded so well. 23 eggs on my last cycle - but it makes no differnce if they are all bad! Interested to know what made you pick Poland? I am still waiting to get to the start line.....

JB - hope that you have had a good time with your friends - missing you!

Kelly - of course you should stay with us. I hope now that they have identified the issue that there is more that they can do to help you

So hope that ET on Friday will go well for you and that you will have 2 great embies on board by the time you fly home and some frosties in the fridge. All the luck in the world babe. I am with Anna. Really think that the bed rest is not required based on everything that I have read & you have to do what makes you feel comfortable. I have been told that light walking is good for me as I have poor circulation. No heavy lifting. No baths. Try to stay calm and keep your tum relaxed and warm. At the end of the day, go with the flow and try to keep yourself happy and content and sure the embies will wish to stay around for you.

Had a bit of a drama with my medi but hopefully all ok. Called IM and Dr seems fine. She said EC went well but they will know more tomorrow and give us info then. Had a few tears, scared i mucked things up with medi, will have to wait and see.

For me; i had a great wedding on saturday ( sunday morning when we got home) nad it has been great having my friend to stay since Saturday. she went home last night and am missing her big time already...She lives in London (800miles away) and only get to see her twice a year caus eof our jobs...she works away a lot abroad too...anyway we had lots of fun and i am tired out now too much gabbing and shopping x x

IM e mailed me today...from my biopsy they have found a bacterial infection (E coli), which would stop the implation if i went for ET. They suggested 3 types of meds and i have rung my local GP for info. They have gone with the email and prescribed me the anti-biotics, though they did feel that the dose and time to take them was excessive ( 500x3 a day over 14 days) I hate taking them but would rather have a ecoli free uterus aAlso stopped my prog pills today so should have AF soon and i can start tmt. x xx wooohooooooooo

just a quick me add in....
i meant to say that i started acu last monday...and it went well although i was very tired after and slept for 2 hrs the acu also recommended a Bush flower essence 'She Oak'. two drops in a glass of water 8 x a day. apparently it helps the womb lining hydrate and helps pre ET set up lining for transfer..

Let me know if you buy/try it. Are you getting the jitters yet? This is the first time after 2 IVF cycles, but I am getting scared. This is something I have wanted and prayed for for a long time, but the closer it gets to our start, I'm getting butterflies.

I just got a text from Jen1d - she is in Barcelona and the clinic just called her to say that she has 6 embies awaiting her. She is over the moon as this means good chance of frosties. Just wanted to let you all know.
