Jens- you can't see me, but I am jammin to "shake your groove thang" with poms and spankys... of course Demetrio, Loops and Walsh have all joined in and look divine in spankys... Lo-la-la-la really does have peachy bottom!~ Good luck!!! relax---- as if THAT'S possible... but try anyhow....breathe in, breathe out, breathe in, breathe out... if that doesn't work try chocolate! Luv ya. Hug ya.

Loops- am so glad you are finally getting medical proof why you are so nutter! ha, ha. I think they will come back to you and tell you that you have SUPER genes.. complete with little cape and silly sidekick. all will be great.. no worries. When are you going on Va-Kay? where are you going? I am sure somewhere fab.. not to good ol PA.. I don't ever hear any tourists say.. let's go to Pennsylvania!... ha.

Walshy- get that computer fixed!

as for me.. the weather is trying to get me down.. but I will prevail. Can you believe the high yesterday was 58... in August! oh well.. it is to be back to mid 90's by Saturday.. can't we just have a nice 80? I am also having monster-in-law issues.... she is such a... insert favorite curse word(mine starts with a B).... plus she has cancer (which is awful), but the guilt of "I am sick" works like a charm on hubby. She sent me an e-mail to me blaming me for the reason why she doesn't have a close relationship with her son and granddaughter.. what Hooey! Did you ever notice that those types of people NEVER blame themselves for the lack of people in their lives? UGGHH, now hubby wants to spend more time with her and I am jsut supposed to sit there and smile. anyone know the serenity prayer? I need it! that and a nice kickin drink beforehand!@

LUCK TO JENS!

Dearest Octochicks.... it's been a while.
I am finally back from Switzerland where I had no tv or internet connection for nearly 4 weeks; I felt stranded but then again as we were renovating the house, there was not much time for internet activities  but mainly gruelling labour  .
It's great to be online again after all that time.
I kept up with the lovely Jen via texts.

I see that you have been all posting which is lovely...

Sorry this will be a real quickie as still pretty busy getting back to the Dubai routine.

I have the honour to give Jen's GREAT news...she states in her text:
"6 great embies and 4 frosties. We're so pleased . Can u tell the Octos 4 me"

On that excellent note... I trust you are all well and happy....

Lots of love to you all.... I will be back online next week with more news

Take care,

Littles

Hey Littles- good to hear from you.. hope you are well!
also, thanks for the Jen news!.....

Jen- congrats on great number!!! good luck today bunny! give us a post as soon as humanly possible! luvs... pinches for luck. ... also, Demetrio, Lola, walshy and I have decided to build a human pyramid for luck... Demetrio insisted on being on top of course. so we decided to paint him with a BF on the front and P on the back.. he looks great in speedos and paint! I am also having issues with Loops cheer uniform as she insists she does not need to wear cheer skirt over spankys as they cover her peachy bottom.... DIVAS! atleast walshy is cooperating.

Loops- whats the haps?
Walshy- give that computer a toss and get a new one!

I was just bravely venturing here to let you know Jen's news but see that Little R got a text with the awesome numbers news.

Jen sent me a text that said the following and just wanted to keep you fully appraised.........

lol donor is 22 and Dr said that she is very pretty and cute - how did she know that I did not want an ugly 1.

Just thought that I should let you all know as her original buddies.

It made me smile so much! What heart warming news.

Enjoy the weekend all.
Love

Ahoy Octos!

Jemla - are you back from Big B? 6 embies! 4 frosties! This is a fantastic start! Oh man! Lets collectively wish away the next 2 weeks so we can use our newly honed spank pant muscles (its been a few years....) to celebrate your B.F.P :D :D :D :D woo and hoooooooo! Ah yes, then it will be sad tales of morning sickness, tiredness and you will love every single minute! I'm so excited for the 7th September! So she was a bit of a looker eh? no uglies for our jen! Let us know how it all went lass.

Steph - are you getting pom pom-users arm ache? My peachy bot is a shadow of its former self so support spanky knicks for me please. Yes, the weather is also f-uped over here, today is the first sunny day in weeks. What you up to?

Littles - blessed be! She returns..... and promises more the minx - looking forward to your news and views chica.

Walsheroo - come back now! Congrats on weight loss, back on road to baby soon sweets.

Well I am very excited about Jens news and certain bfp - this will be the turn around for us after many a false start. I am also getting really excited about my holiday! Just 2 weeks until I fly away! As usual have nothing arranged and will wing it. Have managed to book flights though, flying in to Phoenix and flying out of LA 3 (yes thats right 3!) weeks later. Road trip for me and my beloved with rafting trips and muchos yee hahing along the way.
Monkey Gene Update: still no news.... although all my other tests have back as normal so perhaps the ape DNA splicing was only a bedtime story after all.

Now, I don't want to cause mass octo embolism or similar but I will send a photo today. Well, today or tomorrow - just need to photoshop my monkey ears out.

Ok dudettes, mucho amor y besos

Lola xxxxxxx

PS Carolyn - really lovely of you to keep us updated with Jen's news. have been keeping my F.B.eye on you over on Eggheads - great thread, so supportive and informative. Looking forward to you following in our Jemlas footsteps and getting a B Baby! Look after yourself xxxxx

 Honey i'm home

Home with 2 priceless little embies, which we didnt declare at customs

Well where do i start, this is going to be a long one.
First thanks for thinking of me and keeping me going, your always in my thoughts and the support is fab
More importantly - Loops---got the photo, wow what a babe and you look gorgeous to lol  I thought you would have short sandy colour hair and your nothing like i imagined. I had to stare at it for at least 10 mins and it felt like you were a different person----brilliant to know who i'm talking to at last.

So Bareclona-----------who cares now about all the info, its our life right

So the night before we left for Big B, we had a major panic, i thought i forgot to take my medi, ran upstairs, took it then dh pointed out i was meant to start it the next day---------complete panic. We called IM and eventually after a few calls the Dr rang and assured us it was ok although if we had a problem with our main donor then the backup one couldnt be used as i had already started the medi. Tears, tantrums and major worry the whole night. The Dr tried to assure us and said the eggs look great but wouldnt give more info and said she would call us with embie info when we were on the plane and leave a message

Flights - Flight over, was delayed for nearly an hour and last night we were delayed for 2, then when we boarded there was no air-con and it was so uncomfortable. I had to take my medi at midnight and what time were we due to land---yep, midnight. When i was asleep, dh spoke to the steward and they put us in seats right at the front of the plane, then when we had landed and the aircraft was taxing to the platform, she allowed me to go into the loo. So glad we got this as my medi would have been about an hour late.
When we arrived in Barcelona, true to her word the Dr had left a message saying everything was fine and we had 6 embies---i cant begin to tell you how relieved we were :P
Hotel - Well the one we wanted was fully booked so we went to another one. It was ok and clean but not to my standards  and the lift shook everytime we were in it  , plus it was a bit smelly. Then they told us it is a holiday in Barcelona in August and everyone goes away so there was no resturant for us to use after ET. IF there is a next time, we will book somewhere else.

ET day - I first went to have my acu with the lovely Valerie who is over there. She is slim, tiny and pretty with an American accent as she trained there and has lovely lips like Angelina Jolie-----------then i had to get my belly out in front of her  The acu helped and really relaxed me.
We then went to talk to our Dr (Dr Guix), she bounced in the room and announced she had great news, "the best of the day" and told us we got 10 eggs, 6 are excellent so 4 will be frozen and 2 put back at ET. Both me and dh were shocked as we have never had frosties and later when it hit me, i was just so chuffed as we can have 2 more turns

We were due to have ET at 1 but didnt get it until about 2. We were quite reaxed though even after visited the loo about 10 times, i never know how much fluid to drink.
Then i nearly collapsed when i saw the Dr-----wow he was gorgeous (check him out on the IM website--Dr Luis Zamora) and believe me, he looks better in the flesh, with gorgeous eyes. I was dreading getting my kit of infront of him  We saw our 2 embies up on the tv screen and then came the drama. He put the bloody horrid spectrum thing in but kept moving it about-------oh my god, the pain. He had to do a mock transfer first then the proper one to get it right. I kept asking if there was anything wrong but he kept saying it was fine and he wanted everything perfect. I have never had other Dr have a problem getting to the uterus and i even felt the cathiter  Eventually it was fine and we saw the embies inside. The Dr kept shaking our hand and reassuring us everthing was ok then said he wants to see the baby when it arrives :?: I just felt a little anxious like you Loops that this traumatic event will affect the embies---they didnt seem bothered by it though. I suppose what reassued us was they wouldnt do the ET until i was ok and the cathiter was all set up properly.
Then i went back for another relaxing acu treatment with Valerie then back to the hotel for a rest. The weather was hot but dull so i didnt mind lying in my bed and i fell asleep until 7pm  just not like me to do that, it must have been all the tauma and excitement ofthe day.

So now today we are just lazing around and keeping my belly warm and praying that this will be OUR time and we can have some luck for a change and get a BFP  :?:

Love to you all

Hi Octos!

Jens- sent you long congrats and good luck, go get em e-mail, so will not repeat myself.. but it all sounds like a ride to the hot tamale bfp train to me! ..... the group has had enough of human pyramids and we have now decided that a group back flip is in order for cheers... at the count of three.... wooooo... also, if looking to pass the time. I recently won cheesy 80's movies at a family reunion and have had marathon movie nights.. may I recommend this as a great way to pass the time.. they don't make movies like they used to... ! gotta love the 80's!

Loops- how Gor-GEE-ous are you! although, eerily, exactly how I pictured you! crazyness. here I thought you were avoiding sending pic because you were so ugly you thought we would never speak to you again.. turns out you didn't want us to realize how fab you are and we would be so jealous we would never speak to you again.. hubby is cutey pa-too-tey too. I am sure your car comes in very handy in all your sydney briscow moments of escape! your vacations sounds absolutely fun stuff. you will come back relaxed and ready to kick ivf arse. And the lab called- they said definitely not monkey genes.. .. results inconclusive.. but they think they see genetic link to blue hair? as for tired cheer arm.. never.. I trained for this!

Walshy- come back and see us!
Littles.. little minx.. slip in, slip out.. teasy little thang.

Ahoy there buenos!

So Jen - embies a bordo getting cwtched up at casa jemla-di-dah. 10 days until test date. Is it going really slowly? I just want the next 2 weeks to speed by to your BFP and my holiday. So what's the news then? How do you feel? You sound pretty positive, keep it up lovely!

Steph- so no monkey genes but a bit of bristow DNA eh? I wish, I am so creaky old woman lately, I need a Zimmer. So any more trips planned? Send us a more recent photo of Faith - see, I can be demanding now as I've finally sent photo. Has the weather perked up over there?

Camilla - always around for the home stretch! Welcome back lovely! Just in time to cheer Jen and her absolute 5th time lucky life raft BFP.

Well its mental here at the moment, my parents are coming to stay so its cinderella time cleaning etc. My long weekend was hilarious and our car won a prize! Trying to get my study protocol submitted to the ethics committee before I hoof off to the states - too much work! Have my HSG day after tomorrow. I have to say, next cycle seems a long way off. Things been ok lately but today on bus home had a wish I was still pregnant moment. It's getting easier though. I would be 5 months now. Now point dwelling on that.

OK then groupies, back to dusting.... sigh, I was meant for a life of luxury not domestic servitude.

BIG LOVE

Still not had a reply from IM about my embie quality. THey said they were excellent but i want to know the grade and how many cells they had divided into, wish they would hurry up :x

Then had news about my ex-keychild (like a son), he went with his girlfriend for their scan and there was no heartbeat. Poor thing called me from the hospital in hysterics, feel so gutted for him and know only to well of the heartache he feels

Ok i am going to chill after a long day

Hello Ocotochicks,

Really quick one for me still at work booooo and just about to go but thought I would take the chance and log on when there ar only 3 people in the office and the chances of me getting caught are slim. I have to type quick and I am bad at that so sorry in advance for the typos....

Jen - I am so happy that you have 2 little beans inside snuggling into mummy. When your having those negative thoughts switch your brain around and think of those little embies snuggling in and hatching properly and they will be there for a good 8 months. I am so excited and counting down the days. Do you think you will break and POAS before you have a blood test??? I always can't help myself and do it I know a confession on my part but damn it it is really hard to not pee.

Lola i agree with Steph and now realize why you didn't send photos beforehand what a stunner and you have such a cute DH. I am sorry to say that your children will have to be ugly - good looking parents never have cute kids.

Steph we do need another update of our little Octobaby Faith. Is she doing anything exciting yet like crawling? When does all that start anyways. Are you having a big bash for her first birthday? Any chance of you having a second anytime soon?

Hi Camilla and Littles nice to see you around these parts again. I noticed Littles that your going to cycle again soon. Jump on board so that we can support you through to your BFP. Maybe we will catch up one day on MSN who knows the moons may aline :D

As for nothing new still going to the gym have lost 23 pounds now not coming off quick enough for my liking i would actually like it to all be gone already  I mean seriously how long does it take to lose weight it should just fall off.... I am hoping to get one of those exotic diseases that makes you lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks when I am overseas but I probably won't get it. I didn't even get Bangkok Belly last time, I told DH this time I am going to lick the locals (not in a sexual way). I only have 3 weeks to go and then I am off for 6 weeks which I can't wait.

OK time to go home and chat with DH, take care ladies and Jen look after those embies and keep thinking positive.... Cheers, Walshy
