Hello buddy!!

Good to hear you're back safe and sound and you had a good time. No fall outs with the family then?! :-)

All's well here. I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and you won't believe how much I have grown! I'm definitely getting them moving about now - can actually see my stomach move sometimes. Like something out of Alien! I had another scan last week and both the boys are doing well and growing as they should be. I've got another one in 3 weeks time - they're doing me every month which I'm not complaining about!

We've just about finished decorating our bedroom and the babies' room now - feel like that's all we've been doing for the last month. What are weekends for again??!! After that we've got the bathroom and stairs and landing to sort out so definitely making progress. We ordered the cots at the weekend which was very exciting. Will order car seats this week!

Really glad to have you back - can't believe you've only got a few weeks to go and you'll know what your schedule is. Getting excited?!

catch up soon.

LOL Helen xx

Hi Tracey

glad to see you're planning ahead!! We didn't really start work on the nursery until about 4 weeks ago (22/23 wks) - I don't think it's leaving it too late at all, as long as you feel up to it. We finally got around to ordering our cots, etc at the weekend. Other than a wardrobe, it's the first bit of real baby shopping we've done. Like you, just didn't feel right before.

We've decided to go for the Urban Detour double buggy from Mothercare. Like you, I've looked at the Which? reports, etc and this is one of the ones that they tested and thought was OK. I think you'll have a lot more choice with a single! Not going to order this until September!

for car seats, we've decided to go for the Graco with Autobase. One reason is that it is recommended by Which? and the other is that you leave the base in the car and the seat just clicks in each time so you don't have to faff about with seatbelts each time. We're going to put our order in for them this week - how exciting!

Which's top choice was the Bebe Side Safe car seat but other magazines I've read have said this isn't that comfy for the baby and that it doesn't have head support for little babies.

It's mind blowing though - all the choice and having to make a decision not just on what it looks like! :-)

Happy shopping!

Helen xx

Helen

was in mothercare yesterday - snuck in there after a meeting as I was passing mothercare world - as you do!
Saw the urban - they really are fabby - we like the look of the three wheeler in principle but don;t want a flimsy one - you know what I mean - clearly we don't have the double problem you have!
I like the look of the Graco car seat - infact I like their buggies too and the M&P one with base unit - will start looking soon.

Take special care
Love
Tracey
xxx
PS bought a pack of Humphrey sleep suits from mothercare - how decadent!
