JenB - Hotel was a little dated and we didnt find it as nice as Atenea. In August its a holiday in Barcelona so lots of things are closed including the resturant in the hotel, which they didnt tell us so we had to order from a pizza place, which they do for you, after ET, not what we wanted to do. Anyway the internet connection in the hotel wasnt free like Atenea and the breakfast wasnt up to much. The room was ok but basic, but the corridors smelt of damp. It was bright, like you wanted but we liked that Atenea was really clean, friendly, resturant and breakfast was lovely and had a good selection plus we had a fridge in the room for water etc.
Dont get me wrong it wasnt horrid but just found Atenea much better.
The room definately wasnt like the one on the website. We would have gone bck to Atenea but it was fully booked. If all the blinds were pulled back in Atenea it would have been airy and bright, did you not like it there? Maybe you could ask for a room on the bottom or 1st floor?

Am just chilling today, not feeling much and dont know if i shold because i've never been pregnant before. One minute i feel very positive then i get terrified it wont work again---suppose thats normal eh.

for all the girls who have been pregnant, what feelings did you have in the first week?

Also i need a bit of choccy, is it allowed? I am paranoid about what i eat incase it has anything bad in it?

Jen1d - goodness only knows what I have started with the tickers and sparkles. Sure that you can have a little chochie if that is what you fancy. They just told me to eat like I was pregnant so no soft cheese and shell fish. Nobody said no chocolate. Hope that you are resting up well

JB - thought that I was going to get in trouble for the long posts too! Sounds like the other hotel is a lot better based on what the 1st lady says. Hope that acu went well this morning. I am going this evening and already looking forward to it

Rebecca - I only know about HCG levels. Over 400 sounds dam high. I think that 200 is like a strong singleton around about your stage so agree with the others that it sounds like you might be heading for double trouble! So pleased for you

Anna - think that Jen1d was getting confused/over excited a few posts back!!!! Did not think that you were having anymore tmt! Hope that you had a good weekend - the weather was just so much better which always helps

He's cute-i see you have chosen a countdown to mid month CD date ...have you tried the Test one where it counts down to test date??? well done on getting it all working...I got your email but couldn't look at the photo's at wrk ( the computer wouldn't let me) so will check you out later my girl...it's a good idea have done ths on other threads and its good to get to know the face your typing to Have a good lazy day and enjoy the choccy ...as caroline said the only thing to worry about is cheese and shellfish. Jen when i was preg it felt like i was going to start my Af any minute...exactly the same symptoms!!!! Knew the 2nd time i was preg as my boobs went up a size in 4th wk...i and Dh loved that bit!!!!! just relax hun, and enjoy resting letting these embies become part of you.....BFP BFP
about the hotel...a shame as it sounds ruff!!!! cmpared to the room we saw. athena ( we were on floor 7) had really high windows and was very dark even with curtains open...will scan the net and see what to do!!!!

Gill- Hope all went well with Gp today and you will be getting scan this avo!!!!Then you are on your way woooooo-hooooooooo!!!!!...IM emailed me today and said 3-5wks on BC pills then i can start patches am so excited...let us know as soon as you can about scan hun x x x x x

Hi ladies

just surfacing from the m/c. Tried to do it using cytotec took it expected a deluge, took more, got a heavy bleed but that was it, it was an awful night, but in the end at scan next day alll was still there so had to have evacuation by suction. I post this just to remind that there is a choice and d&c is the last resort. The way we did it was much kinder to the endometrium (recommended by ISIDA especially for menopausal women) so I will certainly still be able to start again 8 week post op. i guess the good news in all this is that the ISIDA protocol is so good at stabilising my immune issues etc, that my body even wanted to retain this non-viable pregnancy. Sorry to go on.

Just wanted to say to those with sperm fragmentation - we discovered dh has this issue (in ejaculaze sperm caused probably by high antibody levels following VS reversal) in tests following our m/c from IM barcelona (we had 10 eggs but just 3 embies). We had samples tested under electron microscopy, and professor Schulze (big sperm daddy Hamburg University) recommended trying TESE sperm. We had these tested (Yes dh is a HERO) and sperm quality was within normal limits tested under EM. Using TESE sperm we had Joshua. DH is also on mega regime for sperm quality like last time for this fresh go.

just thought that you might find that helpful to investigate before going for Donor sperm. Pm me if you want more details.

I just got back from IM and we got 10 eggs, 6 are great so we got 2 put back and have 4 frosties, i realise how lucky we are when i hear other peoples stories.

Just to say thank you for thinking of me today , the GP sorted the scan this morning, so this afternoon I was in and out in 15min. The lining was 7mm, I think that good , but can it get too thick too quickly? I have emailed the IM but it was late so they will probably email me back tomorrow.

Carolyn- Thanks for the graphic addresses, I have given them a go but no joy, Im just not very good with computers! I'll just have to stick with the sparklee writing!

JenB- 3-5 weeks till you start the patches It will be here before you know it. Not too long on the antibiotics, but when they are making you feel rotten its long enough. Hope that your body gets used to them a bit more soon so you dont feel as bad.

Jen1- Love the ticker!! Glad you got it sorted with the help of Carolyn Not only is she posh and intellectual, she's a computer wiz as well!! What would we do without her.

Rebecca- How are you? Have you come back down to earth or are you still up on cloud nine I cant wait to find out if you've got twins on the way!!

BigJ- Hope you are feeling better, you really have been through it. Glad to hear that you are able to start again in 8 weeks The info on sperm donor was very interesting my dh has normal sperm fragmentation but his fish results showed abnormalities, I dont know what the TESE is but I will look into it as we are going to be using both donor eggs and sperm this time.

Gill - so pleased that the scan went well. Will give you some more help with the pictures but will have to be at the weekend as this from work so have to be a bit careful!!

Jen1d - was so gutted when I read that it had not worked with the new ticker and you lost your other ticker. Please do not let this stress you out. We can always get it figured out. Hope that you are resting well and taking really good care of your little ones

JB - acu had the same effect on me as on you. Dam good clear up kicked in after session last night. It is so weird that it can do this to us but must make the home nice. So pleased that you are on your way

So had acu last night. He is so lovely. We had a really good chat and he thinks that we are really right to move on. Told him about the 4 Barcelona Girls on here and that we are all going to Valerie. He was so pleased as he recommended her to me way back when he was telling me that I would never need to go there! So I will go to see him just as I start my next AF (after Barcelona) when he expects that I will start BCP. Then he will see me again for the period when I come off BCP. Then again when I am on the patches. Then off to Valerie. He really thinks that the egg quality is a massive factor and that will over come what ever other issues we all face. We have a bet running between me and him - where he thinks that it will happen on our 1st try and I bet against him! Then he was so sweet, he would not take the £45 for the session. He said that it was on him as I have been going so long and he hasn't helped me yet but I have kept going to him. What a nice gesture. Would have blubbed a couple of weeks ago but just managed to thank him nicely!

Dh picked up argc notes last night and the quality of my eggs is truely awful. The three that went back were Grade 3, Grade 3-4 and Grade 4. All the others were even worse. Where they are graded 1 (best) to 4 (worst). Made me feel that we have absolutely taken the right next step. No hope with that quality.

All happened yesterday. 3rd book turned up. This one is all about Egg Donation and seems the best. Only read about 50 pages so far but think that I may be recommending it to you all. My Mum has read the 1st book I sent her. Pulled myself together to call her yesterday and managed to sound more +ve about the whole situation (even before acu) and she is now less worried about me/for me

Hope that everyone else is doing well. Rebecca - hope that you have not been celebrating too much! Vicki - really hope that your initial appointment will go well for you

Off to Phantom of the Opera in town this evening with my 13 yearold niece and my sister in law. Should be great. Off work tomorrow as need to sort out a crsis at my youngest sisters flat the other side of London but will hope to get on line for a better update tomorrow evening.
