colleen and tasha--thanks for your posts. It sounds like my kiddos are doing the same types of things during the day. Ellie loves to nap most of the morning, so I'm trying to get her to stay awake more. (However, she's probably napping because she's not getting a lot of sleep at night.) Braeden is taking about 2-3 SHORT naps during the day. He tends to max out at a 1/2 hour. In fact, his 1/2 hour is about up right now. We'll see if he can pass it! When they're awake, we're singing, talking, swinging. They don't like to play on their tummies much (however, they do like to sleep on their tummies--once they're already asleep!). I have two different activity mats, but neither one tickles their fancy--in fact, they both tend to scream! As for the baths, I don't have the energy to do it every other day. It's quite an ordeal to get two babies bathed and massaged. Dh tries to help, but it's really a one woman job at the sink with the baby tub. However, I might try to bath them in the big tub. You never know?
We didn't get much sleep last night. 2 hours at a time was all we could muster. Both babies are having a TON of gas. I went and bought the Enfamil for gassy babies today to see if it helps. Both kiddos have been waking up screaming from gas pain--even though we do the drops. Ugh!
I think we might be going through a growth spurt too. Even though we're 9 weeks old, we're really only 6 weeks gestational age (since they were born 3 weeks early.) So, that could be it too.
We'll try again tonight. I hope we have more luck!
By the way...I had to take a break while typing because you-know-who woke up after his 30 minutes were up!
