Hey guys -
Yes, these progesterone shots are killing me too. Cramping, bloating, gassy. Glad to know we are all in this ROLLER COASTER thrill ride together. Hee hee :P :P

Chelle - So how are you doing so far? It's only Day 2 for me since they dont count the day of the transfer and I already can't wait to know. I know I shouldn't be worried about the grade of my embryos and all that so I'm trying to get it out of my mind but it's HARD. So did your mum's friend have a 3dt with 4-celled embies?

Chriss - My clinic felt that taking it easy the first day was recommended, only trips to eat, use the restroom, etc, but after the 2nd day they said I could pretty much do anything but no aerobics, horseback riding, high-impact workouts, running up stairs, etc. I also can't do any swimming, hot tubs, or baths, which sucks. I love baths and they are a great way for me to relax so I MISS THEM. I was also a big exercise fanatic before all this and that was also a great way to relieve stress, so this weight gain from sitting around and all the hormone shots making me hungry has been kind of crappy but I hope it all ends up being worth it in the end!!! :D :D

bernie01 - Hope things are going well for you? So when is your Beta test? How many did you transfer?

Yarnista - Thinking of you today for your egg collection! Hope everything goes WONDERFUL!!! :D :D :D :D

Well, I'm back to work today (from the laptop in bed - I'm a Project Mgr) and hoping this distraction will help speed up the process a little. And at least this coming weekend is the Labor day Holiday... DH and I are thinking of a mini-trip to get away. Not sure yet though.

Well, if anyone knows any more BFP stories from 6-cell embies on 3dt to cheer me up, please send them along! 8) Haha

Talk to you all soon and STICKY BABY DUST TO ALL!!!!

Julianna

My mum's friend had a transfer on day two with 4 cell embryos. Honestly I don't think you should worry. I am an optomist so I find it easier to think about it working as opposed to not. At the end of the day, if it's a negative I will deal with it then but until that time I'm thinking positive thoughts and speaking to my twinnies (as we have nick named them)every day and rubbing my belly picturing them growing bigger and stronger, thats what you should try to do hun, stop stressing yourself out.

I'm still on holiday until Monday, dreading going back to work, but I guess at least it will keep me busy.

Sending you a calming hug lol.

Hi girls

No constipation or gassiness today and I finished my antibiotics!

First day back at work today aswell, I think it was good for me, it took my mind off the "oh did i just feel something" crazyness which was going through my head - constantly.

Julianna - I test on the 5th Sept a week today and I had 2no 4cell embryos transferred.

How are we all feeling??

Chelle, will you try a home test on day 14 or wait till the 17th?

Take care everyone, keep your embies nice and snug.

Bernie

I am going to wait until the day they said as I don't want to experience a false positive, it's going to be hard but I think I can do it. I go back to work next monday, so hopefully that will make time pass quickly.

Hey ladies!

EC went well today, they retrieved 11 eggs in total. I was surprised because there were so many follicles but the doc said that is a good number and better for me. Back in March we had 20. I'm trying to decide whether to go to school tomorrow which is my most difficult day of classes.
When I spoke with the embryologist I told her the doc said we could possibly put 3 back and she said that is a little agressive considering my age but that we'll see what happens. Now that I've thought about it I'd kind of like to do that to increase our chances but on the other hand I don't want to do something that would jeopardize them either. Such hard decisions. I was hoping to not have to do the progesterone shots and just do the gel like back in March but the doc said I have to do both. I am so afraid after all the horror stories I've read. I also watched a video on youtube last night that made me more nervous. Maybe I'm just being a big chicken, eh!
Chelle: good job about not doing the dreaded HPT, stay strong it won't be long now. :)

Bernie01: glad to hear you are feeling well and back to work has helped you, maybe I'll feel the same way if I go back tomorrow.

julianna26: keep up the PMA. My nurse was telling me today about a woman who was older with very very poor embryos and was doing accupuncture and she had a successful pregnancy, so you just never know. I'm sending lots of baby dust your way, girl!

chriss: I know what you are saying about working out. In July I was working out like mad and now I'm missing it but I also don't want to overdo it. A walk on the beach sounds wonderful right about now. The doc told me I should drink lots of gatorade which I really don't want to do because of all the sugar and HFCS but I guess it's okay if it's only for a wee while.

Lots of love to you all! :) :) :) :) :)

Yarnista - That is REALLY great news! 11 eggs is really good. So you should get a call sometime today with how many fertilized, right? I was so happy when I got that call. :D Are you doing ICSI? I haven't had any problems so far with the progesterone shots. I've only had to do them for 6 nights so far, though. I don't know if they get worse after awhile, but I haven't had any burning, or anything like that. I massage it for a couple minutes to help it dissolve and then go about my normal evening. Keep us posted on how you are feeling! BEST OF LUCK!!! :D :D

Chelle - How are you feeling? I'm doing OK. As well as can be expected, I guess. Sometimes I actually go an entire 20 minutes without thinking about it! Ha ha... Can't believe it's only the start of Day 3 for me. Called and made the Dr appt for 9/10 at 10 am for the bloodwork and that was kinda exciting. Can't decide if I'm going to POAS or not. I guess as more time goes by, the more I will be tempted to... but I'd hate to freak myself out over nothing. Time will tell...

bernie01 and chriss - Hope things are going well with both of you and you are staying busy and keeping up the PMA!!! :P :P

Well, I better get back to work! Yuck...

P.S. ICSI GIRL - if you are out there, I MISS YOU!!! Sending you all my love, hugs and kisses...

oh julie girl --- i'm here!!! i told you i'd be keeping an eye on you --- i wasn't kidding! 8) i'm SO glad to hear you're coming along ok....... you just keep that PMA --- is so vitally important at this stage of the game.... are you doing anything to keep you busy over this holiday weekend?? that will help pass some of your time.....remind me -- when do you test??

to all you other gals out there ----- i miss you all TONS!!!! have been praying for all of your BFP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i just know i'm gonna log in one day and see BFP's all over the place!!! :D :D :D :D :D

each day for me is getting better......AF finally arrived for me --- which is the trigger for when i was supposed to go back for final bw at RE's office --for what --- really??? i have to go back for final bloodwork to confirm my BFN??? ugh --- insult to injury, i'm tellin ya!! :? right now i'm thinking i'll feel MUCH better after we have our "what next" appt w/ RE --- we really both love RE very much --- has the most awesome "bedside" manner!! VERY personable.......anyway -- i just think i'll feel so much better to get his input on "why" -- eventhough i know he will not have all of the answers --- i'm hoping his expert opinion/advice will atleast give me a little bit of closure on this chapter of my life.... is not scheduled as of yet....maybe next week sometime......i guess depending on what he has to say --- will ulitmately determine our course of action... at the moment, we're thinking of waiting til first of the new year to try for another round.......i need a mental break and now is a good time for that, for me - for us.......we've been living, breathing, walking, talking IVF for close to a year now and i think it will do some good to give my body a rest from it all too......in fact, i'm hoping to lose some weight between now and the new year ---is like my "not really new years resolution" -- ha, ha!! although, i must admit -- i've not yet done so hot on watching what i'm eating!! and this weekend --- look out!! we're having a family bbq and w/ that always comes LOTS of great food!!! i also intend to DRINK UP!! it'll be nice to have a beer or two!

i've rattled on long enough.....i'm not going anywhere girls --- afraid you're stuck w/ me out here!! so in an efffort to help cheer me up --- maybe you could all start reporting your BFP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just a quick update. The embryologist just called and we have 9 beautiful embies. ET will be on Saturday morning. Now I'm just wondering if they will let us put back 3.
I stayed home from work today, feeling a bit sore and tired still and thought better of being around the crazy kids just yet. I hope all of you are doing well. Lots of love! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

yarnista: YEAH on your little embies!!!!!! That's great news -- 9 is such a good number to work with........here's hoping they allow you to put 3 back in  I'll probably not be around over the weekend as we are having company all weekend from out of town and I'll be "entertaining" them ------ so i'll say now GOOD LUCK WITH ET ON SATURDAY!!!!!!! (is a piece of cake -- i know you'll do great!!!)

Julie: think "thomas the train" -- "i think i can......i think i can..... i think i can" :!: :!: (i think thats thomas the train -- maybe not!!) YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am convinced that this 2WW thing is something that God intentionally incorporated into the IVF process so that he could make sure that you have what is required to be a GOOD momma  So once you get your BFP --- you'll look back on this time and wonder what the big deal was!!!!!! Have a great weekend.......don't over exert (sp??) yourself........i'll be back to check on you bright and early tuesday morning 8) ((((((((STICK EMBIES STICK )))))))))))

Love & Hugs to all...........hope everyone has a LOVELY holiday weekend (in the states anyway......is Labor day!!)

Fantastic news, your well on your way now hunny. ET is easy peasy, the hardest thing for me was the full bladder bit but in the end they let me empty some out thank god, so a word of warning, don't over do the drinking you do not want a bladder ready to explode when they press the scanner on your tummy and its kinda embaressing running down the corridor to the loo in your side tie nightie and bare feet for all to see like I did ha ha. Good luck for Sat then you can join us on the two week wait. And as my two weeks has just started because I have to wait longer than anyone else, you won't be too far behind.

Big Hugs

Love Chelle xxx

Yarnista - I agree with Chelle. Nothing much to the ET other than trying to hold in that bladder!!! After 30 minutes of laying still after the ET, I was practically begging to go use the restroom! :P :P

CONGRATS on this next step! I hope everything goes great for you! Keep us posted!!!

Chelle - how are you holding up? Me, I'm trying my best to hang in there. Had to laugh today when I called the Dr. Seemed ironic when I had to make the beta appt for 9/10, the only time slot available left in the morning was for 10:10. Ha haha
