Hello! Love the chatty board...I normally don't know where to find all of you so I post on so many diff. bds I get confused re: what I've said :?

Cocoa, good luck today! As to your Q: My hubby is here with me, but he lived overseas for a long time and we'd agreed I could go over and study for 3 weeks then he'd join me. That was before WONDERING if we have twins.

Yes, you and I are so in the same boat...no symptoms but lots of worries!

Lisa, interesting re: how high #s could be a singleton, and low a twin (Hear that Vlada? You're not out of the woods on multiples  )

Heidi--love the pizza craving. Actually, I'm finding I'm eating more carbs than I did before, in the probably wrong assumption it'll keep Morning Sickness at bay! (Or maybe it's just the comfort food thing.)
That said, I was so frightened last night thinking that I need to chill on the carbs, because I can NOT gain a gob of weight in a pregnancy. I fear high blood pressure.

Anyone else concerned re: how healthy you'll maintain with all the weight you need to gain for the baby or babies?

Mina, feel better...poor thing!

Caffeine: Yes, I drink my cappucino every day, sometimes two. I had really great blood flow in my womb during my exams. I'll see where it is on Sept 4 on my U/S, and if it's still strong I'm not continue with the caffeine...it's not that much.

As to artificial sweetners? I used to be Ms. Sweet N' Low...no more. Real sugar for me.

See you all later!

apologies for the double post

Heidi, Yes, I feel very bloated...I feel I already show. My nurse said at this point it's most likely still the medicine I'm one. One walking hormone she calls me!

Good news is that around week 7 they'll start weaning me off the meds a bit.
I can't WAIT!
The PIO shots and my lumpy bum are bothering me.

Anyone feel a little depressed from the hormones?

Hi WC and ALL...

Depressed??? Yes, I do get scared and then a little depressed. I think it is more due to the fear of the unthinkable but then some of it is the intense crankiness that can occur throughout the day. Its the progesterone I am sure of that. I am so sad about the BFNs too. I find myself in tears...

Symptoms: Some nausea; TOTALLY extra sensitive sense of smell!!! My bbs are huge and getting bigger BUT although I am holding more water (blood is building up I guess) I am not eating a lot and from the feel of my clothes I think I have lost a little weight. Doesn't matter though because now that I cannot exercise I suspect I will have a huge task ahead of me after the babies come (yeah, I a m pretty convinced its twins because I have dreamed about them for YEARS!!! just like when I held my son for the first time I knew that I knew him my entire life). I still feel a little crampy and my lower back hurts - aches really. I think its residual from the PIO shot from the other day - I believe it hit a nerve. OH, these shots are going to be difficult to do for the next 7 weeks...

I worked today and I am exhausted... I have to teach karate after work tomorrow and I know I will have a tough time with that until week 15! I teach it 3 days a week and I do not have a substitute teacher for those 3 days. At least I can sit down if I have to.

I didn't really TELL my two friends... they kind of guessed so I admitted it and work does NOT know nor will I tell them until I am showing and can no longer deny it.

I am sleepy so I will be in touch later.

Love and Baby Dust,

Cocoa

Cocoa! I hope you had a great night's sleep...and good luck with the Karate. You are amazing!

RE: a heightened sense of smell is so difficult! I wish you pleasant smells (but even flowers can become nauseating when you're pregnant)

Thank you for the info. re: Progesterone...whatever's coursing through my body, for the past 2 days, is causing me to be quite 'sensitive' ... can't watch any tough news stories (well, I have not been able to handle bad news for awhile, but it's getting worse).

I had spotting tonight, and cramping.
I am realizing just how tenuous ANY pregnancy is...even harder when we know so much, so soon.
I'm just hoping these embies decide to stick around...
Good night...BEST to you, energy wishes sent your way!

Hi Girls

Congratulations Lisa Twins is fantastic news and Croella I am really pleased your baby is developing well.

My U/S is on the 4th September so just counting down the days now. I can't wait to have it all confirmed as doesn't seem real yet as we don't have bloods taken in the UK so all I've had is a positive HPT.

I have had quite a few symptoms though including cramps and nausea but a ginger nut biscuit seems to cure it immediately.

Good luck to those who have their u/s in the next few days and I'll let you know how I get on on the 4th.

Baby dust to you all

Hello Louise!
And congratulations...my U/S is also on September 4!
No blood work in the UK? The curiosity would drive me bonkers...!!! But an HPT is accurate...
Good luck...and welcome!
(It does not seem real to me either...I don't think it will until I'm MUCH further along!)

Hi girls,

This is my 5th and final attempt. I went for HCG last Monday and my levels were 54.2 so I am pregnant. I am still on tenterhooks until next Wed (5th) for my u/s. My levels are higher than last time when it was a chemical pregnancy so I've got my fingers crossed.

I haven't had any symptoms yet, boobs still slightly tender, and I'm still doing HPT every few days to make sure I have a nice strong line on it. So far so good.

Back to work again tomorrow after having 3 weeks off work, feeling nicely refreshed, I just wish I felt pregnant....but I guess I might regret saying that when morning sickness eventually happens.

Due date will be April 28th.

Congrats to all you lucky ladies

How do I get a ticker??!!!???

Hey LIsa, WC and Louise...

My u/s is now going to be on the 4th. I don't know WHY the other doctor asked if I would be around this weekend and to my affirmative he told me to go in on Monday for an u/s. Well... I had MORE bw today (no Beta though - they said my Betas have been very strong so it wouldn't make sense to do one today because the odds of it going down were nearly nill)...and the doc called, told me how much to do in my shots (PIO and delestrogen) and said we'll see you on Tuesday morning... UUGHHH... I wanted to celebrate Monday eve by going to dinner!!! Whatever...

So today I have had cramping. Somewhat like BM cramps (sorry if that's TMI) but also the, you know... cramps like my uterus is expanding ALREADY!!! I am telling you... even though high Betas don't always indicate multiples as low Betas don't always indicate singletons... I do think there are TWO babies in there. I am getting sick to my stomach more often but if I rest it settles down. I am also looking quite thick today from the side. I am NOT eating a lot so I guess its all blood and fluid retention... My bbs are now HUGE...

So catch me up-to-date re: symptoms etc...

Sticky baby dust and love to all,

Cocoa

Hi Cocoa! Gosh, I just sent you a message, it was a bit long, but my "sent" box doesn't show a log of it...

Oh, you have symptoms! Good luck with those...you really do sound preggers with twins, how exciting. The cramping gosh doesn't sound fun, but it migh be one of those 'this is just the start' things, with twins!

I wish you very few symptoms...
and a good night's sleep.
I bet your doc's office mispoke when they had said Monday...Ha. Labor Day, as you'd noted!
Good night!
