Hello ladies!

This thread is perfect, it brings a smile to my face everyday - I love the signs and just need to figure out how to join the competition on who can be flashier!!

I'm doing OK - am paranoid that my embies have gone away (to where - I have no idea!), if I have the money I would go out and buy my own doppler machine and laboratory so I could make sure that my beta was elevating and I could keep an eye on what's going on!! The wait is a killer!! I'm almost longing for morning sickness so there is proof that something is going on!! I think I'm losing it!

Babyblue - my donor was my sister - she is about to turn 32 so at the top end of the scale but we got 15 eggs at ET and 12 fertilised. 8 were of a good quality so we put two back and have 6 in the freezer. I think I've come off cloud 9 now and jumped on the crazy train - 2 weeks today I'll know whetger it's one or two.

Gill, all the luck in the world for Sunday - travel safely. can't wait for you to join me in the BFP club :)

Jen1d, forgotten when you test - must be soon right? I waited every day for the infamous implantation bleeding but nothing so don't worry about that. Can't wait to hear your BFP!!!

Anna, hope you had a good birthday and were spoilt rotten - next year you'll have a card or two from your children :)

JenB - yeahh!! you've started treatment - it won't be long now!!!

BigJ - hope you're doing ok today and manageing to relax. Sending lots of love.

Carolyn - you are winning the most OTT posts!! I'm jealous of your skills!! we have to work on the most amazing sparkle when we celebrate your BFP!!

Sorry if I missed anyone, am at work and people keep coming into my office so I keep having to switch back to an excel spreadsheet to make it look like I'm accomplishing something!!

Love to you all and have a great weekend. We've got a long weekend here in the US and teh sun is shining so I'm hoping to take my crazy train out for some shopping!

Hi

Carolyn - If you cant beat em, join em  Didnt i tell you, you would regret showing me what to do

Kim - Oh poor thing, i know only to well how it feels to grieve for my eggs. I only got told during my last ivf cycle (Feb) that i wouldnt be able to do another cycle with my own eggs, the pain was awful and i still grieve for them to this day and i think i will always feel sad about it until the day i die. I just feel i wont be able to have a baby, which is me and dh's, its just to sad to think about.
Dont get me wrong i will love and nurture any child we have, but there is a difference.
I now have 2 DEmbies on board (22yrs) and test on the 7th Sept. As soon as they were put back inside me, i felt protective and just wanted home to look after them so i know if, sorry WHEN i get my bfp then it will be mine.
I look at it this way, the donor doesnt think about all the embies and children she has in the world and just sees it as an egg so i should just think of it like that to.

That means with a 22yr old i have a high % rate right? To scary to think about incase i get disappointed again  :?:

 Hi

Gill - What do you mean 'i hope', your embies WILL be fab and you WILL have frosties  Cant wait to hear your news, good luck babe, will be thinking of you.
P.S - Dont be spending to much money in El Corte Ingles---we did

Carolyn - What you up to this weekend? Are you still in bed after that exciting trip to sainsbury---you live in the fast lane girl  Did you go to the cinema last night. Oh how me and dh laughed at the thought of your clients checking out the sparkly bits  Who cares, ours is the best thread and it cheers us up.

Rebecca - My test is on the 7th. Your appointment will be here before you know it. It must be a worry though, dont think others realise, getting pregnant is just the next hurdle for us girls, then there is the long 9 month wait full of worry  You will be fine, hang in there.

JenB - You always seem to be such a busy bee? How are you feeling, your next babe and me and Carolyn will be on hand with the sparkly bits  Imagine how out of control we will be when all the BFP's come in

Anna - So how was the birthday, you still recovering :?:

Kim - Still trying to come to terms with your % rates, hope we get some of that :?:  :?:

Ok hi to everyone else who is hiding at the moment.

I'm ok, had a bit of backache yesterday, nothing much, then a few throbbing sensations and a couple of sharp twinges, had that this morning to but they dont last long. I know this week i am due af around Mon, Tue, Wed so i think i will get some af feelings. Strangely i feel calmer this time and have not started obsessing about 'pant checking' yet, but this 2nd week is always the worst. My last cycle i asked the clinic if i could continue the pessaries until the test date, which they usually dont do, they stop 4 days before test day. They allowed me to do this and i made it to test day, maybe thats why i feel less stressed (so far) as the amount of pessaries and patches i have to take with IM should stop the bleeding.
I had a little thought about doing a hpt on the morning of the 7th but dh has put his foot down---better let him get his way-----only once though :wink:Going out with Mum and dh for a meal and the sun is out

Have a good weekend

Gill - Keep thinking of you and hope that all will go well in Barcelona. Hope that you got there safely and are managing to relax a little today. Hope that you are going to have a great batch of embies. Will keep thinking of you all weekend. Cannot believe that you have never had acu before. Hope that you like Valerie and find it relaxing. I love it but think that everyone knows that. Promise that we can figure out the pictures for you next week. You can get to the web sites that I gave you. Right. But when you cut in the picture, you just end up with text? Let me know and sure that I can get you on the pictures bandwagon. Hope for some news via a text to Jen at some stage tomorrow.

Jen1d - The twinges sound good to me. Sounds like something is going on down there. Glad that you are not knicker checking just yet. That is so wearing and stressful. Just try to while away the days by doing some nice stuff. Do you have any plans over the weekend?

Rebecca - Glad that the thread makes you smile. I am often switiching between the board and my spreadsheets so that made me smile. I was worried that it might get irritating! I have so much fun creating the sparkles. Of course we can all understand why you feel nervous. We have all waited a long time to get even to this point. I am sure that I will be weeing on hpts every single day just to check if I ever get that far. 2 1/2 weeks seems like quite a long time. Around about the time of my 1st appointment and every one keeps telling me that it is close now! We can count down together

Vicki - hope that you are going to let us all know how your appointment at ivi went. Really keen to hear how it was and your next steps

JenB - Hope you and dh had a great time on his birthday. I had a little look on photobucket & you are Kate Moss skinny. I am so jealous!!!!!!!!! He is a lucky dh. Not a dog person so afraid that I did not look out for your dog! Hope that you are having a good weekend. Sure that you have friends to stay. Hope that you are doing ok on the bcps and that you will get a mail from IM very soon

Anna - Hope you had a great birthday

Kim- I understand why you feel sad for the lose of your own eggs. I do too. Then I think how useless they are (broken, leaky and old) and think how much more likely I am to get a bfp with better/younger eggs. Starting to feel more positive about it every day. How are you doing with the reading? I am about 1/2 way through the final book which is specifically around Egg Donation. I am finding it really helpful. Bummer that you cannot download the pictures at work. 24 year old donor sounds terrific. I want to have a long discussion at my 1st appointment if we go for 2 or 3 back. Across the fresh cycles, we had 2 (under 40 which did not permit 3 in the UK), then 3, then 2 (all others had died) and then 3. So have tried both. I know that it will be different with donated eggs through. Guess we all just want to make the right choices

Sonia- Glad that you liked the sparkle. Hope that you manage to have a great break

BigJ - Hope that you have been looking after yourself after what you have been through. I very much hope that we might be able to cycle around the same time but don't want to get ahead of myself

Hope I wrote to everyone. No sparkles today - just serious chat! Hope that you are all having a good weekend. Supermarket and The Bourne film for me & dh last night. Film very good and well worth seeing if you like action movies. Had bloods taken at the hospital yesterday and hopefully this time they'll not forget to do blood group for me & dh. Copied all my notes (boy are there a lot) at work yesterday (interesting copying that with people around  ). Packaged them up this morning to go to Barcelona. Have a back up copy to take with us - just in case. That is about it. Lost a couple of lbs. Got an exercise trampoline and have been building up to about an hours work out. Done 5 times in the last week since we got it so just have to keep going.

Enjoy the weekend. Hope that it will be a super successful weekend for Gill and her dh.

Love
Carolyn

 hi

Got a text from Gill this morning but first i have to say sorry to you guys as i was out and couldnt get the news to you quicker.

She went to acu and found Valerie to be lovely and very relaxing.

Then after ET, her text read

Just come out. Not as good as you i'm afraid.
We had 7 embies, 5 fertilized, 2 very good embies, 2 not so good and 1 poor. They put 3 back, the 2 very good and the poor 1. Dr Retondo was very positive! But we dont think we have frosties, find out tomorrow.

She sound a bit down about here embies but i have sent some texts on to her saying we are all thinking of her and lots of positive things.

Lets make lots of mad, sparkly messages for her for Tue when she get back to cheer her up and keep her positive.

Jen

Thanks for the update babe on Gill. Been looking out for it all day.

It is amazing that she had 3 back. Sounds like 2 are very good. The other 2 might make frosties. Remember what Anna told us - her little Matthew was a grade 8 - not everyone can get grade 10 embies. They really are the exception rather than the rule.

I shall now work on a super sparkly post for Gill.

Please send her my love and big hugs.

I tried e mailing you IM protocol but for some reaso it has been returned sio will fire that off to you tonight. ( it's on othet computer) I take BC pills for 3-5 wks then start patches....should be scaned day 7-9 and on them total approx 2-3 wks before ET!!! so i have about 6 wks to ET I think at the most...By my counting i think i will be going same time as KIM!!!! The Dog loved it!!!! I enjoyed it too but enjoyed the eating ut more It was so good to have time with our friends. they are the ones that went to Canada with us when we got married there in March. I really miss them ( we moved away a year ago) as we used to spend every weekend together and now only catch up every 6 wks. So we talked and talked and drank and drank. I gave in and had some champers last night and boy did i feel rubbish all day...NEVER EVER drink when you are on stong antibiotics girls it just makes you sick.
