So I got a call from my doc today.. they retreived 15 eggs, 11 were mature and 8 fertilized.. is this a low number? my doctor told me that it was good news and that the embryos look very strong. She mentioned that she thinks I will make it to a 5 day transfer.. I am just really worried.

I think your numbers sound great!

I had my egg retreival last week and they got 16. Out of those 8 fertilized. When I went in for my transfer which was a 5-day transfer, I was told that 5 of them made it to day 5. My doctor was happy with the number that made it.

But remember it only takes one!!

hi there icsipixie,
that is a great number to have fertilized, combined with the news from the doctor that the embryos look strong! You couldn't hope for anything better than that! Try to relax and keep your worrying to a minimum (as best you can), instead focus on everything positive that can come as a result of this experience and I hope you'll see a BFP in a few weeks!

Thank you everyone. i am trying to relax.. I just hope that it all works.. I hate these PIO injections. I have only done one and man my bootie hurts!!!!!

I think this is a great number, I went for retrieval on Wednesday the collected 23 eggs and only 10 matured and 8 fertilized, I am concerned, but I keep telling myself not to worry because its the quality not the quanity. Yoy're doing great, baby dust to you.

Hey girls! I had my ER 8/20 and they pulled 21 eggs and was told the next day that 15 fertilized

. We had previously decided to do 3dt and RE changed his mind to 5dt. So, I was like OK the longer the better

I am glad we did the 5dt b/c all my embies failed to grow and divide as they should....only 3 made it...1 blast and 2 morulas. DH and I talked and decided to xfer all 3. My beta is now scheduled for 9/5 and I am just dreading this b/c my RE told me he believes I have poor egg quality

I was super excited today that my doctor called. He was calling to tell me that they have moved me to the day 5 transfer.. so that is Tuesday! He said I had 7 very strong embryos and we will need to discuss how many to implant and to freeze.. still dont know this one.. just so happy that we are waiting until blaystocyst stage!!!!
