I probably screwed up that list. I was trying to update with the newest info. Oh well. It'll take me a while to get used to this board. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Question about baseline U/S

Post by baby_or_bust »

Hi ladies~ Welcome Christie! Well I am done with the trial. It was a medical malpractice lawsuit. A family of a little boy who developed severe jaundice which turned into something called Kernicterus (type of cerebral palsy) was suing a pediatrian. It was so emotionally draining.

I have a question for any of you who might know.

Tomorrow is my last day of BCP - YEA!!! Anyway, my last day of BCP is Sunday night, then Monday morning I am going in for my baseline U/S - then will start Follistim and Menupur on Friday.

Obviously I will not have started AF yet - will they be able to see anything or will my blood work even come out OK given the fact I will have been off BCP for about 12-14 hours???

It's getting closer and I am so scared something is going to go wrong.

Take care ladies!

~Donnell

Helloooooo!!!!

Post by albany07 »

Hi Girls!!! My wonderful positive sticky baby dust encrusted buddies!!!! No worries, and trust your RE office! They will explain everything step by step... I don't understand all of it, but lurk and listen to boards and my doctors. Like I said before, all of us will have BFP. Have you washed your clothes in Dreft yet??? LOL.

Sorry Archana - no stimms for me for a while - I start Lupron tomorrow (I will be a supression sally for a while  !!! I will start stimming with my Gonal F (I think) around Sept. 12 or 13. Donnell will be first on 9/7. I can't wait to hear the size of your follies! Big Fat Follie thoughts to you!!!

I have posted a call for more members to our board on the Sept. Cyclers board. I encouraged them to come for stat - ing with us, as there are gaps between cyclers.

Donnell - I hear you, that must have really taken a toll on you emotionally. I understand where the NMA is coming from. Time to regain your PMA, through all of us!!!! So glad to have you back! BTW, I love your name! I am going through first IVF, don't know if I can answer your question, but can you clarify the question - I will try...

I didn't even know I should expect AF after BCP during Lupron. This was never discussed to me through RE's office. I know I will see/talk to them before that time anyway. Do you know more about this?

Wishing everyone the BEST!!!! Sticky baby dust to all, Dreft (baby laundry detergent) Dreams and prayers to all!!!

BTW... Just a little tip... I am finding that cleaning and getting the house in order (hopefully for baby), gets my mind off of everything for a long while. I am getting things done which I would not have the energy to do in the past. This is my new found inspiration to get things around the house done! Organized kitchen cabinets, cleaned out garage, weeded the garden! Very productive lately!!!! We'll have to get this done at one time or another, why not earlier rather than later when we have huge twin bellies and can't even roll down the stairs!!!!!

Lupron

Post by albany07 »

Lupron further suppresses ovulation. I think they use it to really control what is going to happen with stimms, trigger shot, etc...

From what I understand...

I think everyone is away for the Labor day holiday...

Just a quick update, friends -

I went for my first scan today and doc could trace 10 eggs till now...I think that's a decent number seeing my age. I just want them to grow healthy so that they fertilise well later. Last time the quality of eggs weren't good enough to produce good embies. This time I am keeping my figers crossed.
I am going to continue with Gonal F, Menopur and Lupride atleast till Thursday and then on Friday I have the 2nd scan. My ER would probably be on the next Monday i.e 9/10.

Prayers n sticky baby dust to all!!

First scan today

Post by baby_or_bust »

Thanks for the info on Lupron Ingrid. I've been on BCP for 5 weeks - I don't think I need any more supression. :)

Archana ~ Good news on the 10 follies. Grow follies, grow. I will be watching for your 2nd scan to see how they are doing. We want lots of good embies!

Traci~ Welcome back. You'll be starting stims just shortly after me. I am getting so excited.

Well....I had my first scan today. They didn't say much, but said that looks like I am nice and supressed. About 6 follies on each side. But we need to wait and see what happens after I start stims on Friday. Next scan is Tuesday the 11th. I had my E2 drawn and she was supposed to call me with my number but never did.

It's hot here in AZ ladies. I hope everyone else is staying cool.

Great to see all this participation!!!! Welcome back Tracy! We will be doing ER very very close to each other. I am scheduled for Sept 22-26.

Archana - 10 is a very good #!!! I am looking forward to hearing all of them fertilize!!! I know it's something all of us hope for.

The Lupron is no problem! Wow! All that anticipation for nothing!!! I have experienced a hot flash during the night last night. I usually sleep with a down comforter, when I threw it off last night - my dh suddenly awoke asking if everything is ok. It was quite funny. He is just not used to seeing me without covers at night.

Donnell - the next few (2) weeks will go by soooooo fast!!! Are you ready?????

I am looking for both you and Archana to provide us with symptoms, moodiness, etc.... from the stimm meds and so on... as both of you will experience them before any of us!

Great to hear from everyone!!!

I got a lot done this weekend - cleaned garage, weeded garden, puchased in-laws christmas gift ( I know it's early, but we may be short on time in the next couple months - damn type A personality) and baked Pumpkin Bread. Donnell - it is cooling down here in Chicago (not really - 80's) But I am sooooo anticipating Fall. It is my favorite season!!!!

Sparkling, Dazzling, sticky baby dust to all along with plenty of PM thoughts!

(posted this on another thread and was told this one already existed :)

Hey guys,

Boy, I found this place in just the nick of time I feel like I'm losing my mind! I have been TTC for three years now. 32 y/o Unexplained fertility after 3 unsuccessful IUI's and Clomid. Wonderful levels always for me. One questionable test about the morphology of my husband's sperm (he's 37 y/o), but every test after that has been awesome. First cycle of IVF started yesterday 09/03 and will start Bravelle and Menopur on 09/05. Currently on Lupron and pills Dexamethasone and folic acid. No side effects. Retrieval scheduled for 09/14 with transfer on 09/17 or 09/19.

Anyway, having a pretty hard time right now. So many of you seem to have such a good attitude. It seems wonderful to be excited about all of this, but the last couple of days, my attitude has taken a digger. I was pretty positive about everything until the realization of what may or may not happen has set in. Like so many others, my excellent federal insurance doesn't pay a damn thing for this procedure Shelling out about 17,000 for this little deal. Of course money doesn't matter if it works, but not sure what to do if it doesn't. It's so funny how people who are able to have children naturally look at you like you are such an a**hole if you mention the money. When you have a 40% failure rate, it kind of seemed like an important point to me. However, I would pay all kinds of money to make this happen. I've been a mommy in my heart for a long long time.

On a hopeful and happy note, I am so glad there are several of you going through this right now! I finally don't feel alone! I will be going down to Littleton CO for my treatment over the next couple of weeks, but the hotel has a computer so I can stay in touch.

For those of you starting the injectibles prior to retrieval, can you share with us how you are feeling? I'm not sure how it feels to have your ovaries swell so much. How are the hormones affecting your mood?

I wish you other girls all the luck in the world! Take care of your wee little selves.
