You women are amazing! I can't imagine waiting years to get in for an IVF treatment...and here we are writing about the 2 week waits to see if our IVFs worked!

Holy cow...I'd get a collection from family members and jump across the pond to a US facility...I am rethinking the wisdom of national health insurance, Americans for SURE would've put up with waits

Hi Woodcliff, I am paying privately, have so far done 1 fresh and 2 frozen cycles, just waiting for AF so i can start another frozen cycle with the last of my frosties.

Hi Nicky, no treatments vary in price depending on what you need, we had to do ICSI, which is about £600 dearer than regular IVF at our clinic, plus drugs which ours cost around £1,000. so one fresh cycle with ICSI plus drugs was around £4,000. each Frozen cycle incuding drugs is around £1,000. And to freeze your eggs costs £250 per year. We are classed as a funded cycle not fully private, not sure the difference but i think it may be due to being on the list for a free go. On top of this we have had lots of tests which were all free on the NHS.

Hi nicky we paid around £4500 for our icsi this was our 2nd go we waited for our 1st go on the nhs which was about 3 yrs for us well it seemed like forever sorry but hey have you thought about egg sharing most of the tmt is paid and you could help someone else get a baby thats what i was losing my weight to do i'm only 5 foot so my bmi was 38 wey high and was told i would have to lose about 3 stones i was over half way there when it happened naturally i know i said it but i hope that time flys for you not that i want to wish our lives away
