The clinic I go to has serveral Dr's. I normally alway see this one Dr (their assigned to certan locations). Anyway, when the Dr. called to give the great news that I was pregnant, I didn't ask about HCG levels and he didn't tell me. He said come back in two days. I went back in two day he call and said everything was great, come back in 4 day (because of the weekend and holiday). So today I went and the regular Dr. wasn't there. She called me and said that my level is shy of doubling it was at 570. I asked if that was good or bad, I don't even remember what she said. But I do remember her saying I have to go back on Thurs for another HCG test before U/S. I don't have any number to compare to b/c I never asked. Of course now that I want to know the office is closed until tomorrow. I was better off not knowing. Cause now I'm crazed. I wonder why it didn't double? Why does it have to double before U/S? This will be my 4th blood test on Thurs is that normal? How many do you usually get when you get a positive?

BETA HCG Level I wish I never knew?

I think that everything will be fine, you beta was just shy of doubling, but it did go up. I had four blood tests before my US ( which is tomorrow). My first beta was 85 12dp3dt, then 561 16dp3dt, then 1700 18dp3dt and finally 3700 20dp3dt.
They want to see it double, because if it does then it means that the embryo is developing.
You beta is rising, so it is good, but i would definitely ask them about initial numbers when you go next time.
