sorry to gatecrash but just wanted to say thanks ICSI girl for your message on the awaiting tmt thread. i'm so sorry to hear about your BFN but it sounds like you are very positive and calm about things. think its a great idea that you are taking a break....i only took a 3 month break but thought that was quite long...but looking back at it 3 months was only just enough....the longer the better. its great to hear you'll be sticking around and make sure you do!

oh and what ive found is that the first cycle is often a "test cycle" for your clinic. your clinic will know your body much better this time and can tweak things to give you that BFP next time round.

sticky baby dust to all!

Hey ladies our ET went well on Saturday. They talked us out of putting 3 back so we had 2 8 cell embies to put back and 7 left over to be frosties! I'm feeling a bit crummy today, very very bloated and in some pain. I'm going to stay out of work today and give the doc's office a call in the a.m. to see if they want to check me for OHSS. On u/s on Sat. my ovaries are bigger than my uterus so I guess that is what is causing the discomfort, I just want to be sure everything is okay.
I hope everyone else is doing well, love to all!

Hi

Yarnista that is fantastic, I am so pleased for you. Take it easy now but keep moving.

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

My big test day tomorrow, really not sure what to expect, had a few tummy aches, so it might not be my turn this time, we'll see.

Will be intouch.

Bernie -

I'm hoping and wishing the best for your BFP tomorrow!!!! I can't wait to hear your good news.

Don't give up hope. Keep up the PMA. It's very hard to do, I know. I'm struggling with it right now. Forcing myself not to buy any HPTs and wait for the beta test. But I have bouts of negativity but trying to mostly be positive. I think sometimes what we believe is what ends up being true. So BELIEVE, BELIEVE, BELIEVE you are pregnant and perhaps your DREAMS will come true tomorrow. I will be thinking of you and Jill_n_Mark and can't wait to cheer you both on!

Sleep well knowing tomorrow is a good day!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D Well we did it! I am pregnant! Totallly shocked, really havent been feeling very positive about the success, but I crossed my fingers as she told me, and my wish came true. A baby Bernie! Scan in 2 weeks to find out if its 1 or 2 - ekkk.

I need to go for a walk, get a reality check and some fresh air. Phew, what a morning.

Hope all you others on the 2ww are ok, not long to go now. I have good vibes for our thread. :D

Congrats again Bernie, I am so delighted for you, now I can't wait to find out if we have a second set of twins. You and Lisa are certainly giving the air a positive buzz. Come on the rest of us, lets be having BFP from here on in. 8 days to go for me, please let it be a BFP.

LisaPA how are you feeling girl, hope your fine?

Hugs to everyone

Chelle

Any symptoms yet? I just wanted to compare to what I've been feeling. I've got about 5 days left until I test on Monday.

I'm very ANXIOUS but refusing to do an HPT.

I want the only news I get to come from the Dr but it's very HARD. I basically can't set foot in any stores that sell them!

No Symptoms

Post by Chelle »

Hi Julianna

No symptoms whatsoever. Well other than a bloated belly which I think the pessaries are the cause of. I'm surprisingly calm, at the end of the day everyone is different. I've read of girls getting BFP's with no symptoms and BFP's with lots of cramping, etc etc. I honestly don't think you can second guess the answer PUPO as one of the girls on my other site says - Pregnant until proven otherwise. I think that's a good motto.

Thing is, I never get ANY period pains, so my period could be on it's way and I'd be none the wiser. Hopefully that's not coming for at least another 10 months though, I'm staying positive. I'm a great believer in mind over matter so I belive it can happen, it will.

As for the blood test, I don't get one until 3 weeks after a positive result when I would go for my 7 week scan. Many of the uk clinics work this way. They give you a test to do at home on a certain date and that's it until the scan. Personally I would prefer a blood test as they can tell how strong the result is and that provides a lot more info, but not much I can do about it. I did question the clinic over how accurate testing at home is. They said that if I do it when I am supposed to and not before its 99% accurate, so I suppose that's good enough.

Stay strong girl, you have less time to wait than me, you can get there. and Lisa PA and Bernie have put some positive vibes in the air, so I'm hoping the rest of us will follow suit.

Big hugs

Yarnista

After this weekend I think we will breeze the wait no problem. So you are the day before me you lucky girl. Well I will be thinking about you while my belly is in knots thinking about getting closer to my test, I just can't wait to know one way or the other. I'm feeling really positive, but is it a bad thing to keep thinking it will be a BFP? I hope not, I guess I will just have to ajust my head if worst comes to worst. But I'm hoping my super dooper 10 cell embie will do my proud and hopefully my 8 cell is hanging on in their to give me the twinnies I've been talking to every day. Fingers crossed for all of us. You take care, not long to wait now.

Hi girls

I am back in the land of reality after the shock of Wednesday. My dh doesnt quite believe it still, I guess its hard for them too. The "looking after me" during the 2 ww has gone out the window and he is bored of that now, typical!

Just so I have this straight, left to test:

Julianna - 10th
Yarnista - 12th
Chelle - 13th

Have a nice relaxing weekend next week will come sooner than you ever imagined. Lots of positive thoughts and tender tummy rubs.

Take care
