Well I got the news yesterday that my FET was negative. I wasn't surprised given that I got my AF last Thursday but it is never easy hearing those words.

Anyway, I am officially joining you guys. We have our review appointment today and we'll be discussing the use of donor sperm. I am hoping that we'll be starting our donor cycle in October when my next AF arrives.

I thought my DH would have more trouble with accepting the idea of donor sperm but he is all for it - he said that a biological connection isn't what makes a parent! Given this is all new to us it'll be a process of learning once again - I just started to feel like an expert at the whole IVF process and now we are adding a slight variable to the process.

Best of luck to Jen and Gill on their 2ww!!!
Hope everyone else is doing well!!!

Kelly sorry to hear your news...much love and hugs.

for donor stuff ask anyone on here and Carolyn has some great books with tons of info that she can recommed if you fancy a read of more stuff.

Have you thought of counselling before going again. ??? It does help get your head around the process of DE and around emotions of grief over losing the use of your own eggs...it helped me.

Good luck with your next tmt hun...

x x much love x x x

Gill, heads up girl. You have three snuggly little embies inside you that you have to keep in mind also - give them as much of that pma as possible. Try and keep your mind focused solely on them - three embies becoming beanies!!! Two weeks and you will be sharing the news of that BFP with all of us, I just know it.

Kelly, so sorry to hear about the BFN. I noticed you mentioned donor sperm, but will you be using your eggs? We will be glad to have you with us.

JenB, do you have to pay a subscription to put something on Photobucket? Still feeling bad?

Carolyn, I did some reading this weekend, but I have been reading out of three different books. My 8yr DS was around this weekend and he is constantly asking what I am reading so I had to put away the one titled "Helping the Stork". He is a smart little cookie.

Jen1, DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!! I just know we are going to have another BFP on here. Keep your head up and thinking only positive thoughts. Those embies don't need any stress or sadness right now, give them good vibes! Rub that belly and sing to them - not in the office of course - that way they know you really are cheering them on.

It was a hectic weekend. Went to DH's parents for the weekend. They had a big celebration in their hometown. Back home for Labor Day Monday. Went to visit my grandmother in a rest home Monday afternoon. She is so confused. She told us she spent the night in three different towns the night before. She is 88. My son's school called me yesterday and said he was very congested and was coughing a bunch. I took him to the Dr. and he was having an asthma attack. I am giving him breathing treatments 3 times a day. AF was suppose to show up Monday and when it didn't I used an OPT and it was positive - so really excited I went and purchased a HPT - of course it was neg. DH wanted to know where I was going and when I told him he said some pretty hurtful things. "You better not be pregnant now." "If you are, you know it is a 99.9% chance of a miscarriage." He appologized but I told him that was my last glimmer of hope for our very own baby and those things he said hurt. He later explained that he didn't mean it that way and that we couldn't afford much more time even months. Then AF showed yesterday morning. I start BCPs tonight. My first scan will be 10/4. That seems so far away. I'll use all this time to cheer all of the rest of you towards your BFPs.

Oooops, got to change my ticker.

Bunches of hugs to all of you,
Kim

Hi

Kim - Poor you, you are having a tough time. Try not to think about what dh said, us girls all know men are useless and can put their size 10 in it all the time. Hope your son is feeling better.

Jen - Imagine you offering counselling, made me laugh. Do you know any good shrinks around here-----ummmm let me think----you

While we are talking about it

Just been to counselling and it was fine, the woman is more nervous than us  Dh is not doing so well, this is the worst 2ww wait for him out of all the cycles and he is feeling really negative. I keep reminding him what Carolyn keeps telling me---22yr old and young eggs. He is so scared for me if we get a neg. Anyway another day over and no you know what---scared to say it. Just praying this can be our time, we are so tired of disappointment.

((((((big hugs)))))) to Gill who is feeling a bit low at the moment. Hang in there, its not over, you have 3 lovely embies with Mummy

Love to you all

JenB,

I finally figured out how to download to Photobucket. I have put a photo of myself and then one of our family. Wes (my Westie) didn't get in the family photo - he was being groomed.

Got to go and pick up DS.

Hugs to everyone,
Kim

Image I'M SCARED NOW

Hi girls

Feeling a bit scared and nervous now. JUST LOOKING AT THE TICKER MAKES ME PANIC  Dont want to do the test, i'm scared of more disappointment. The pessaries last time stopped me bleeding but i had signs and symptoms of af. This time they are doing the same thing but so far no af signs and i do feel twinges and some shotting pains but not sore--------scared to think it might work as we just get knocked back down to earth with a bigger bump

Will try and keep busy today and will let you guys know as soon as possible tomorrow. Thanks for being such good buds to me

Sorry ladies that I have been MIA. Trying to keep myself really very busy as sick to the back teeth of waiting and living life in limbo. Just my way of trying to deal with time til we get to Barcelona. Now that I have no more books to read!

So a quickie but had to say:

Gill - babe - try to keep up the PMA. The three little uns are snuggling in as I write. Sending you big hugs. We are all willing you on

Jen - wishing you all the luck in the world for your BFP tomorrow. Cannot wait to hear your news. So excited for you. Just 1 sleep to go. You have been so strong to not succumb to hpts. Bring it on!!!!!!!!

Love to everyone else. I'll try to catch up properly at the weekend.

Love
Carolyn

Jen1 :D -Image
I am sooooo excited for you babe :D I cant wait to hear the news tomorrow that you are BFP!!!! I bet you are as nervous as hell, but this is your time, you deserve this :D Thinking of you hun x :D

Carolyn- :D I have only just noticed your ticker, you have less than 2weeks until your appointment in IM!!! I know that time must be dragging for you but I had a shock. You will have to get back on amazon and look for some more books to take your mind off it  It will be so exciting for you when you do go :D , how long are you staying for?

JenB- :D Hope you are ok hun, how are the headaches? I hope that they have got better over the last few days. How long have you got left on the bc pills now? It cant be long until you start the patches I just hope you dont get the hedaches with them too :!: :? Take care of yourself :D

Anna- :D Hope you and Matthew are well :D Baby massage sounds fab, I bet Matthew and you have a great time. :D

Kelly-So sorry to hear about your BFN :( But Im glad its not too long until you start tmt again and I am so glad that your dh has a pma about using donor sperm :D My dh felt the same way when we found out about having to go down the sperm donor route, it makes things easier when they dont have a problem with it.

Kim- :D Glad you and dh have made up, men just dont think sometimes  ( I say sometimes but I mean most of the time  ) I know 10/04 seems a long way off but it will be here before you know it and you will be back on the rollercoaster once more! Hope your son is feeling better :D

Hope everyone else is ok,sorry to those I've missed.
I still havent heard off the IM about embie quality :? I thought they would have emailed me today but nothing so far.
Take care
Lots of love

 Hi me again

Well the nerves are holding-------just

Just had some counselling and she was brilliant, really questioning us about donor eggs, outcome, telling the news, who to tell, talking to the child wow she made us think, was really positive. Although we were talking about Spanish/British law and she was looking at it from the childs point of view. She felt that the child couldnt find out about the mother with Spanish law and wanted us to know how we felt about this------thats the point we went there  but i felt she thinks its maybe better they can know as it helps them in later life. Maybe thats true but i will help the child come to terms with it and defo dont want the child to be able to look for its genetic mother like you can do in Britain

Gill - Glad your feeling better babe, you hang in there and we will chat until our hearts are content to keep you busy.
Dont wait on IM to email the info, i had to mail them twice before they sent it through.

Not going to type to you individually as i want to thank you all for your help and kindness throughout this cycyle. Seriously, i dont know what i would do if i didnt have you guys to talk to. You cheer me up, you keep me sane you give me advice and you listen------------------stars

Ok enough of the sloppy stuff. Am off to watch some tv then try to sleep before my bloods tomorrow at 08.40

I'm so scared this is going to turn out bad  :?:
NO ITS GOING TO BE GOOD :?:   :?:
