I am blowing you some PMA right now!!! Don't think statistics. If we were all living according to statistics we would be very different ppl these days. Serioiusly, none of us would have an education, would have had our first child in 8th grade....bad things to think about..LOL.

You are very healthy and with the help of a little needle, the doctor is going to choose the right sperm to place in that perfect egg. You are going to be BFP before you know it. It isn't about quanity...always remember that. Please don't start thinking about those stats...they will drive you insane, and could cause you to not be as successful this time. Promise me....

Hi everyone

Nothing to update from me till friday when I go for my scan, Have some real bad upper leg pain tho, and stomach still bloated so it can only mean positive things are going on in there!

Kelley

Don't despair, 9 - 10 eggs are a good number, you are starting to go over your hurdles now! You only need one or 2 good embies to put back, you will be fine!

Lala

Congratulations Lala good number, Sorry about your pain, I had bad pain last time it was referred up to my shoulder how come some of us feel it and others are sitting up drinking tea 10 minutes later!

Christin

Good luck with the trigger shot tonight, why do they say complete bed rest? Last time they told me to carry on as normal, it didnt work so perhaps I might join you on the complete bed rest.

Kelly / Dexter

Good luck with the ET are you going to be completely sedated?

Sonu

Tired and sleepy too I get a real bad sleepy head on around 4.00pm feel I could go to bed and stay there all night!! Hot flashes must be really uncomfortable, but not for much longer! So glad your DH can be with you.

Hi Melanie

Welcome to our group, everyone on here is so positive and supportive, hope everything is going to plan so far.

Julie

Keep those follies warm!! Lets hope they will give the go ahead for the trigger shot! Keeping fingers crossed.

Good luck on Friday...can't wait to hear the great report about the growth of those beauiful follies. It is so funny, bc every time I go in for a scan, I look at the screen (they show them to us on a lcd screen on the wall) and get so proud of those little fellows. It is like they are my kids, watching them grow into mature ppl...LOL. I smile when I see them and get excited to watch them measure the growth. I comment on just about all of them too, the ultrasound tech probably thinks I am a moran..lol. My DH goes with me to all of my appts, so he just sits back wondering how in the heck can I tolerate that ultrasound stick...hahah. THAT is what he likes to comment on..just luckily not in front of other ppl. Men!!!

I don't know why I have to be on complete bed rest. Not sure if it is bc of my E2 levels, or if that is standard for the RE. On my rules, they did scratch out the "24 hours after ER", and write in "3-4 days". So it must just be something for my condition??? No clue. But I will do my darndest to stay in bed and do nothing!! I have Rosetta Stone, so need to start brushing up on my Spanish. That is a good time to do it since I have nothing better to do. I am also hoping for Greys Anatomy to come out on DVD (Season 3) but not sure the date of that. I just will be a big couch/bed potato. I even bought a little step for teh side of my bed, since our bed is really high. That way I am not stretching too much and potentialy causing trauma to my embies when the are trying to implant! :)

This makes me so excited!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give you an update. I have officially been triggered!!! I took my Ovidrel injection about 40 minutes ago. It wasn't bad at all. A needle just a tad bigger than follistim needle. The meds burned just a little, but not even as much as Menopur. I am just chilling now. Laying on the sofa for the next couple of nights bc they want me to keep my head elevated. I can't possibly be in my cozy bed with DH and sleep elevated. So I am roughing it on the sofa. I have begun with the Gateraid and V-8. It is keeping my bladder full, that is for sure.

Oh well, good night ladies. Talk to yall tomorrow.

La La -
I felt quite bloated but worse 2 days after ER. Very important to monitor yourself. Any nausea, shortness of breath, severe abdominal pain - contact your doc as soon as possible. I felt as if I had been kicked severely in the stomach and could not walk straight for a few days. But I am all fine now. I did feel worse when I lay down though. It should go away soon once your hormone levels go down. Those follicles have to fill up with fluid after ER and it can be very uncomfortable. You know your body. Don't hesitate to make the call if you feel necessary.

Well ladies I have great news tonight! I'm so excited. We went in for ET this afternoon and I had convinced myself all our embies would die between days 3 and 5 but instead the doc came in and said we had "done very well!" When I heard those words, I could breath again. ANYWAYS, we had one perfect little blastocyst transferred and they said we had another 6 blastos to freeze and another 2 that have made it to the blasto stage but just need another day for the outer cells to change before freezing?? So potentially, we have 9!! I'm ecstatic. I know 'statistically' chances are higher with blastocyst transfer and considering I had questionable egg quality, I think we can now say that's not completely true.

I hope I don't sound too proud..but it really has relieved me. I know the chances are still up in the air as to whether this one will stick, but DH and I are ecstatic that we have some frosties at the blast stage that will save me having to go thru more drugs.

I'm so happy! 3 days sitting on the couch now. Praying for all of us!

My beta is 17th Sept. Please let me get to the test date this time :x

GREAT JOB!!!!

That is awesome! I know you and DH are sitting on Cloud 9 right now! Take it easy the next few days so that the embie doesn't get disturbed. DH and I have already decided that we are going to talk to our embies once I go through the ET. We are going to stat showing them love ASAP!! I think they need some PMA too, just like we do

I can't wait to hear from you in the next few days!! Take care.

I too had my trigger shot last night! Christin, you and I are on the exact same schedule!! The shot really didn't hurt much at all, so I was thankful for that. Do you think that the Prog shots won't hurt as much then either????

I am praying all goes well with the ER (tomorrow at 9am) and that I am not in lots of pain!!!! I am also praying that my embies make it to blasts! I was thinking a lot last night & today, and realized just how lucky I am...and each of you too.

Dexter Congrats on the WONDERFUL WONDERFUL news on your babies!!!! Hopefully this isn't too personal, and no need to answer if it is.. How did you come to your decision to only transfer one embie? I am stuck right now, and can't decide! I know you should wait until you hear from the embryologist and Dr to see how your embies are...but still, how does one come to the decion?!?!?!?!?!?!! Well I will be thinking about you until the 17th, and we hear the good word!!

Hi

Update
I have just recovered from passing out in my local post office. Have felt quite ill today with a banging headache and nausea all day, stood at the post office counter a couple of hours ago had a huge hot flush and passed out. Has this happened to anyone else? I am on day 9 of stims.

Christin
Thanks for the good luck for tommorrow, really nervous now incase there are no follies growing in there.

Dexter
Sooooo happy for you! Relax now and send good vibes to your little embie you are almost there.
I notice on your info you have a raised FSH level like me have they given you any explanation for it, if you don't mind me asking?

Kelley
Good luck for you ER tomorrow, will be thinking of you.

PMA to everyone

Just few hours off, and I have already missed so much!!

Dexter - Congratulations, dear!! You and DH have all the reasons in the world to be proud. May the beautiful one sticks and make parents more proud!! Now, take rest...chill!!

Christin - Hey dear, you are aslo ready....I am just so anxiuosly waiting for the liittle ones news. All the best for your ER. You will be in my thoughts tomorrow.
Its a good idea to connect with your embie right away. Last time I did the same but I guess my little one/s missed their papa a lot and they refused to grow further!! They are stubborn like their mommy

Kelley - Christin is absolutely right when she says no worries about the count or figures...after all sweetheart, it just takes one genetically correct embie to stick. This is your big day, dear...just go in with lots of PMA and you will end up with positive results. lots of lecturing...huh :) ....well, I am a teacher. All the Best for your ER. I will pray for you.

Lee - Sry abt your condition, I have completed 8th day of stims. Right now, I am feeling ok but don't know what will happen at night. Are u drinking lots of water?? That's very very imp.

Lala - Sometimes because of the higher number of eggs retrieved, one feels a lot of pain. You will just be fine hearing the good news abt your embies. I also felt the pain after ER both the times, just AF cramps in my stomach but with more severity.

I think Kelly is taking good rest...where are you, dear?
Carolyn - There's no compulsion for you to write a long post, just write abt your update and we will get the vibes... :D. You guys are working, dear, I am just at home...working on my IVF- FULL TIME!!

Hi Ladies-

Yesterday I had day 5 ET and now I'm on bed rest for a few days. We transferred 2 blastocyst (isn't that what they are called when you do a 5 day transfer?), they were both grade 2- and said grade 1's are hardly ever given. I was a bit discouraged because we had 9 fertlise and all were looking good as of day 3 but only 2 made it to day 5 so we don't have any to freeze. During the transfer I was upset about how many we lost with none to freeze that I was doing my best to not let the Dr. see my tears. All went well and I got a beautiful picture of the two embryo's we transferred.

Dexter, my pregnancy test is scheduled the same day as yours September 17th. Congrats on your ET and getting so many frosties. Did your clinic do something different this time than last?

Lala- Everyone feels/ reacts differently after ER, I felt really good after but I only had 10 eggs retrieved. Congratulations on your number of ER and fertilised number. Way to go!!

Lee- I was only given Valium during ET, for me there really wasn't much pain at all and the Valium only helped me relax and made really tired. I slept in the car on the way home and took a nice good nap once I got home.

Melanie- Welcome welcome. I too have stage 4 endo with an endometrioma about the size of a golf ball on my left size. My ER was worried about this side producing many eggs and it ended up producing more than my right. I'm still learning a lot about endo and infertility so any input you can give me is much appreciated.

Here's a little story I wanted to share with everyone (I feel like my posts are so long but this is worth reading). I have a good friend who has unexplained infertility problems. She is a poor responder to the IVF drugs and never producing perfect quality eggs/ embryo’s. Her first go at IVF was successful and had a beautiful baby boy who is now 2 +, back in May of this year she went through IVF again only to receive a BFN and was devastated. In June, the very next month she conceived naturally and is now 3 months pregnant. She called her IVF clinic to cancel her next cycle because she was now pregnant and they said it actually happens all the time. IVF must have prepared her body and even though she got a BFN was able to conceive naturally the very next month. I was in total shock when she told me about this but believe me girls it CAN HAPPEN to get pregnant after getting a BFN from IVF.

Good luck to all of you this week

Hi Ladies,

I want to wish everyone well and much babydust. I think I'm out this month. They have delayed me again. My estrogen level is 120 and they upped my dosage of lupron from 10 to 20. So, don't think it will happen for me.

You ladies are awesome and I will continue to lurk. Praying for everyone and their blessings.
