Keisha Oh my. I am so sorry to hear that your cycle got delayed. I can't imagine what you are going through, but I do know that you will stay strong and positive. I hope you get lots of support other than us ladies here. I will pray for you.

Christin & Kelley Best of luck to you for your ER tomorrow. I am sure it will go fine. Make sure you following instructions from your clinic about the drinking and eating guidelines before ER. It's very very important. After your ER, try to get as much electrolytes in your system. It certainly helps me get my bloatedness down. I was told that I need to drink 2-3 liters per day!

Dexer That's fantastic news you've got. I am so proud of you and your DH! Congratulations!!! Take it easy for the next few days. Make DH treat you like a queen  Thanks also for the advice.

sonu911 How are you feeling today? You are onto 8th day of stimm. You have come a long ways! I am so proud of you!

Lee Are you feeling better? Yeah, sonu is right about keeping your body hydrated. Make sure you do that. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Kelly Congrats on your ET too! You must be so excited!!! Hey, I know you hear that a lot, but it really does only take one to stick and you've got two growing inside of you now. Take is easy and take lots of rest.

Hi Melanie. How are you doing today? Glad to have you here with us. This is a good group.

Update-I had my first Progesterone shot today and it didn't hurt that much when it went in (cuz I used the numbing cream). However, a few hours after that, my injection site started hurting like crazy. I have been limping the whole day. I am applying a heat pad on my butt right now while I type  Anyways, I have to keep reminding myself also to stay positive and to pray for the outcome. The process may be hard (and it sure is), but the outcome is absolutely worthed.

My bloatedness went down quite a bit last night after drinking about 2.5 liters of gatorade. I literally was going to the bathroom once every 5 minutes !!! This morning I woke up with a much smaller tummy but I believe my body is retaining water once again because I have started feeling bloated since afternoon. I guess I will have to stick with gatorade for quite a while.

I don't get an embie report today but I will tomorrow. If all goes well, my ET will be on Sunday.

Have a great night!

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your encouragement. Heard from the nurses today to ask how I was feeling and let me know blood results from yesterday, all fine. When I asked the nurse about my frosties she said the lab would call me on Monday with the official numbers. I'm a bit confused. On ET day they said we had a good 6 to freeze but apparantley they continue to incubate them further to make sure only the strongest are frozen. So more waiting! Won't they 'hatch' before then? I'm at a loss to know. Can anyone shed any light? I have done some research and just found out the thaw rate is not that great with blastocysyts as well...Gosh, why don't they tell you that!! I would have transfered all 7 :)

Kelley - no probs at all about the question. My RE does not allow multiple blastocyst transfer as the possibility of twins is something like 6 x higher which would have been fine by me but he just WON'T do it, unless you are over 38 and have had multiple failed IVF attempts with blast transfer. I secretly wanted to have 2 put back and am kicking myself I didn't DEMAND it now. I was just so overwhelmed at having one to transfer I forgot everything else. Nevermind, hopefully this one will stick. It's totally up to the individual. I heard one very exasperated lady in the clinic bawling her eyes out to my doc saying she demanded to have 2 put back as she didn't believe that freezing blastocysts worked anymore and my doc agreed to put back 2, but only before listing all the risks associated with hyperstimulating which I believe gets worse if you do get pg as your hormones skyrocket. She sat and sobbed the whole way through. I later found out she fell on her first IVF attempt, has a 3 year old already and has subsequently been trying for 2 years to achieve her 2nd. She was so upset and irrational with my doctor that I wanted to butt in. I felt like screaming.."You were bloody lucky the first time! Welcome to our world where many of us have also been trying for years and don't even have one!" Just venting

Christin & Kelley - Good luck for ER. How did you get on?

Keisha - So sorry things have slowed down. Really hoping things are on track again soon. So sorry you have to go through this. It's stressful enough without any hurdles. Hang in there.

La La - Glad to hear you are feeling better. Praying for a GOOD FERTIE report for you and progress over the next few days. Pls let us know as soon as you get the call!

Kelly - BIG CONGRATS to you for your ET. 2 blastos transferred. I am secretly jealous. I have a very good feeling for you. Don't worry about the numbers, just getting the amount you got is such an achievement. Bring on Sept 17 hey. Will you do a HPT? Any symptoms yet? Meant to be today or tomorrow for implantation

Lee - My FSH level was only ever taken once when we first looked into fertility treatment. Funnily enough, no doc here has ever said it was high. It was only by my own research and talking on these posts that I realised it was "borderline". All my old doc said was that there was a 'suggestion' of some ovarian ageing but that because my antral follicle count was good, it didn't really mean anything! I'm confused by all that. What are your thoughts?

Hope I haven't forgotten anyone. You all seem to post while I'm sleepin and vice versa. I love getting up in the morning and reading all the updates! Welcome to Melanie. Great to have you on board.

Hi

Just got back from my scan and sadly no follies for me so our cycle has been cancelled. We have discussed things with the clinic and decided that this is the end of the road for us as I responded poorly to the stims on the last cycle as well, obviously feeling pretty devastated at the moment.

I will pray for you all and sending you all my best wishes and lots of luck that there will be a baby for you all to hold in your arms in 9 months time. Thankyou so much for all the support and friendship you have shown in the last few weeks. I will pop in from time to time to see how you are getting on.

Hi everyone!

Lee
I am so sorry to hear the news  You and DH will be in my prayers. It sounds like you still have a great attitude though. God will reveal what he wants for you and DH, I promise you! Take care!

Wishfull27
I haven't looked back through the thread to she your history, so I apologize if you have already answered this, but did you expect that one side wouldn't respond? I am sure this feels like devistating news for you and DH. I am so sorry sweetie. What are your doctors proposing?

Kelley
I am glad that you are back home and doing well. Wow 17..that is fabulous. I had my ER today as well, which is why my message is going to be short.

Dex
Can't wait to hear the final count on your precious frosties!!!! How are you feeling btw? Are you taking it easy?

Update
I had my ER today. It was a breeze. So easy and so quick. Man, those meds are amazing..LOL. The nurse said that I must be a cheap date, bc that IV kicked my butt..LOL.

The RE was very pleased and said that he retrieved 12 eggs and thought they were all of good quality. I expect to know some more from them tomorrow. I have already had one nap, and am ready for another nap. I have already downed over a quart (which is about a liter) of gaterade. Am about to drink another and head off to the bed again. I am so thirsty.

Oh, I had my first POI shot. At the time of the shot, it REALLY WAS NOT bad. But about 5 minutes later, you would have though someone slammed a hammer to my rear end. It is kinda sore..lol.

Talk to yall soon.

Hi gang.

I have started to feel pretty bad cramping and pain when I walk around (my ER was abou 10 hours ago) Is this normal? When I lay down, it isn't that bad, just when I start moving around.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Lee I am so sorry about what happened. You are such a champ though, because you have tried all that you can. Know that you and your DH are in my thoughts.

Kelley Congrats! 17 huh? That's way good news! I am so happy for you. Now all you need to do is rest like a queen. Wait for that big ET day to come. I am a bit jealous that your RE and Christin's RE went through like a breeze... mine was almost hell :?

Carolyn 3 is a good number still. Don't give up. Keep your RE busy in searching for the right ovary. I wish you the best.

Dexter IT is a lot of waiting and we are all champs of patience!!! You know, my ET is Sunday and I still haven't decided if I should put 1 or 2 back. I just can't make up my mind. I sometimes wish that my clinic here also has the policy like yours. In that case, I don't have to think!

Keisha How are you sweetie? Hang in there.

sonu911 You there? It feels kinda weird not hearing your voice. Miss ya!

Christin First, congrats to your successful ER! That's an awesome report. Second, I am right with you on the POI shots. I am in so much %^^&*%#$% pain right now. In fact, just an hour ago after driving home from work, I broke down crying in my bed because I was (and am) in so much pain. Today is my 2nd POI shot and I have been limping since yesterday. I don't know how to get through to week 3  I really need to sit down with my DH tonight and quadriple check to see if we've injected in the right spot. Because it's really hell. I hope you do feel better though. If you are not using the numbing cream, make sure you ice the area real well before and after the shot. Then, massage the area and then apply heat pad to it at least for 20 minutes. I did all that but I am sorry to say that it does me no better. But I 've heard that it works for many others. So try that.

Kelly and Dexter, how's the POI working for you?

Update-I am going in on Sunday for day 5 transfer. Out of the 14 that were fertilized on Wednesday, 13 of them made it to today. I am prepared that a few more will be lost on the way to Sunday, but I am hopeful about this. Once again, I want to sincerely thank everyone of you out there for your ongoing support. Without you, I can't imagine how things will turn out. THANK YOU!!!

Still need to decide 1 or 2? Hummmm.....

I rec'd an update this morning from my RE. Of the 12 eggs, he said that 3 were't great quality, but they fertilized all 12. By the end of last night, only 9 made it. By this morning, he said we have 7 fertilized eggs still kicking. He is going to call me back on Sunday a.m. to 1) let me know how the 7 have done and 2) to let me know if he wants me in for a 3-day tranfer or for a 5-day transfer. He said he can't make that decision until he watches the progress of the embies! So it is either Monday or Wednesday for me. I will let yall know tomorrow when I hear from him.

Sonu911
I am so happy that DH made it back in time. This is going to make your PMA skyrocket now!!

Lala
I am so excited for your ET tomorrow!!! Take it easy tonight and try to get a lot of sleep. I can only imagine how busy your mind is today and will be tonight. Just try your hardest to relax and rest.

Oh, I also wanted to tell you that when my DH gave me my second POI this morning, it doesn't hurt at all. I took the injection about 3.5 hours ago, and still not feeling it. The one the nurse gave me yesterday is STILL hurting me. I am wondering if the nurse injected too close to my hip? Not sure, but Hubby did great this morning with it. Oh, and the numbing cream is amazing!!!!

Kelley
Still feeling fine? Can't wait to hear your update from the lab.

Dexter and Kelly
How are yall feeling this morning?

Okay, I have put my pot of spagehetti gravy on the stove, and am letting it simmer while I take another nap. Speak with everyone later!

Hello everyone! Christin, I was having prettry much pain yesterday, especially when my stomach would be full..today is better, although it is still painful, and I am somewhat bloated! Not good news from the Dr. Of the 17 only 5 were mature and of those 5 onlu 2 fertilized with ICSI.

I wonder what happened? This is the first time for me, and I am feeling very low.... I pray that the two make it to atleast Monday, as I would imagine with this bad result we will do a 3 day transfer. If they both make it, I will transfer both and pray for the best. Atleast I have lots of meds left since I only had to do 8 1/2 days of the FOllistom..

Lala - Good luck with your ET. I hope everything goes easy & well and you find the 2WW goes by quickly.

Thanks all for being here..this really is a great board !

Kelley Hey, I do sense that you are very down. I am sorry to hear that the results are not as pleasing. But hey, again, it only takes one to stick and you've got 2. Please do your best to be hopeful. It's all about having PMA. I will pray for you.

Christin Good to hear that the PIO works for you ok. I am still in terrible pain...sigh...really need to keep telling myself that I can do it. However, I may need to take a leave of absence from my work because I can't possibly focus or walk around buildings while under this insanely kinda pain. I am no kidding when I say insanely kinda of pain. It feels like my muscle is about to tear about. But my PMA is still pretty high, no worries there.

sonu911 Good to hear DH is back. Must be a relief for you. How long does he get to stay with you this time?

ET tomorrow at 11:45. Still can't decide 1 or 2. Hopefull the embryologist will give us a better idea.

Good day!
