HI All,

I have been a member of this forum for a while, and I just wanted to make you aware of a scam run by this woman who goes by the name of Mikki Carranza (she uses the screen name "henrietta" but has probably changed it by now)

I was ripped off by Mikki Carranza back in April. She had wanted to purchase meds and required them the next morning...incredulous as it sounds ...for her stim cycle next morning. I couldn't believe she waited till the last minute to purchase the necessary meds (Repronex and Follstim) , but I trusted her anyway and overnighted them to her by FedEx.

Because the time was so short and she needed them immediately, I didn't ask for any downpayment or shipping fee. In hindsight, this was a big mistake.

Over the next few weeks, whenever I inquired she gave one lame excuse or the other. First she said she had sent a Money Order, later she said it was lost and could not be traced (although the Post Office does it). Then she said she could send me only half the money. Then, she said she is waiting for a loan... now after 5 months she has finally stopped responding altogether. So after all this time I have not recieved even one dime.

Clearly, she was playing me all the time- she never had any intention of paying.

I am sooo disappointed... I had paid for everything out of my own pocket, more importantly my trust has been destroyed. This has been a bitter lesson for me, and I hope you all will learn from my experience with this scamster!!

Hi Dolly,

Sorry to hear that this woman never paid up. I remember you had posted about this earlier...I was hoping you would get your money.

While this serves as a good warning to others I think you shouold file a police complaint against this woman. I think the FBI has an Anti-Fraud Unit which specializes in investigating such crimes. Let me know if you need their information, ok?

Dont' think she's changed anything as I have seen some things posted just recently and the info is the same as what you posted.... I am happy that I have insurance that pays for most everything, so even I don't use my meds, it's not a huge amount out of my pocket (this cycle coming up was less than $100 for all my meds).

It's really sad when people try to take advange regardless of the situation.

was just poking around a bit here and there (looking at one thread where somebody has meds available and this thread w/ name.......you do the math!!!) and if you don't know or put one and one together --- you wouldnt' even realize!!!

Don't even ask how i came across this post as its fairly old. That is really bad as forums are set up to help each other, not take advantage. Thought I'd follow Vickie's lead and bump this up again.

What a shame. I'm so sorry you got scammed. It seems so wrong for someone to take advantage of someone else, especially after what everyone on this forum is going through. Some people are just plain mean.

Im not trying to be a downer, but I read someone say you should report this to the police....I dont think that is a very good idea considering selling prescription drugs is illegal. Just take the loss and move on, you dont want to get yourself in any trouble. It was a shitty thing for her to do!

Hi all! Just helping to keep this topic at the top.
I agree with Neffi- I know some of us may have extra meds after cycles and it is very tempting to try selling them but Neffi is right selling prescription drugs is illegal. I think it may even be a felony, and that is major if you get caught! You don't want thousands in legal fees on top of IVF fees!
